Welcome! To Dice Fighters Friday!

This is a simple game where fighters square off against each other. You can even challenge people on this board! All you have to do is find another fighter, and put dice+2d6 in the options field while attaching your fighterโ€™s card. The first die is your fighter, the second is the fighter youโ€™re challenging, and then you compare the numbers assigned to each slot. If your slotโ€™s number was higher, your fighter has won! But, beware, because your fighterโ€™s card can now be challenged, so good luck.

Making a fighter is easy!
>Pick a name
>Pick one of six Types: Warrior, Mage, Expert, Spirit, Prize, or Beast
>Pick one of six Elements: Air, Earth, Fire, Water, Light, or Dark

>Most importantly, from a pool of 12 points, assign points to each stat slot, with a minimum of 0 and a maximum of 6.

Your fighter can also gain a special ability in exchange for points from the point pool. They can have up to 3 abilities.
>[If your fighter doesnโ€™t have abilities, feel free to use the space for flavor text]
>[These are currently sample abilities. They may have to be adjusted in the next version. Feel free to suggest abilities, with the intention to try to make them relatively balanced against just having a +1 to a stat (ie., being a +1 bonus 1/6 of the time)]

>1 Point:
Element/Type Bane: Gain a +1 on all rolls vs. a Type or Element. (ie. Mage Bane gains +1 on all rolls against Mages, etc.)
>[This ability is unlikely to change]
Lucky: If the result would be a tie, win instead.
Duelist: Gain a +1 against Warriors and Experts, and -1 against Mages.
My Speed is Superior: Gain a +6 on any Mobility rolls vs. Might rolls.

>2 Points:
Disarming Cuteness: +3 on any Social rolls as long as the opponentโ€™s Resolve is 2 or less.

>3 Points:
Cross Counter: Gain a +2 on any Reactive rolls vs. Active rolls.
Channeler: Gain a +2 vs. Mages and Spirits, but -1 against Prizes.

>4 Points:
Neutralizer: Ignore your opponentโ€™s abilities.

>6 Points:Awakened: Gain +1 to all rolls

d6Man emerges victorious, conquering his fear of bugs that day.

We also have arena's if you want to shake it up some more. Just quote an arena with who youre challenging, and your post's end number determines the battlefield. 0 is neutral ground.

This actually reminds me of the Pokemon Junior Pseudo-RPG. It's a very, very simple game intended for small children, without much more rules than "Slam pokemon together for battles, make up everything else as you go along."

This could have something similar, with it being a board battling game on one hand, and also a quick and easy RPG system on the other.

Vermin's still alive actually. Vermin Fight Club happens all the time and gets regular updates. You could consider this a sort of "Analog Vermin" variant, but it's really just a case of convergent evolution.

We had a lot of success last week, 2 threads worth of fights and mechanics talks.
I think this was the tiebreaker chart, and checked element breaker then type breaker then defender check because attackers have counter advantage.

Most people seem'd to be following the do it yourself mentality for fighter art. But I think ones like this are okay.
As long as it's not blatant AI. Spirit of the game and all that jazz.

I was thinking of some kind of post-number referencing system for Abilities too.

Like, making a random ability that triggers if you get dubs or something. Could be an interesting route.

Was there some potential confusion? Could I make it more clear? Maybe I'll add some dongly bits to the end of the lines to make things more certain. I also missed the extra lines in a few types so I'll have to redo it eventually anyways.
