Lol seeing how the comments on that sub have changed since 3 years ago is kind of amazing. Nobody is fooled by JOTC's bullshit anymore. Even on Reddit they're calling them out. And, as you would expect, all of the responses are exactly predictable - pure gas lighting, attitude and claiming that people are just bad at the game. They need to get some new tricks.

I was trying to rush it into mythic before the FF. So I can have fun doing dailies against Mythic opponents with shit FF stuff. I got into Diamond 1, then they 'two land' me into oblivion. And when I'm not screwed with land, I get opposing mirror matches.

If I play blue/red they match me against 'lock up' or 'high noon' in the hand. If I play green/red with answers against 'lock up', I'm matched against mono black room spam.

I somehow broke the system last round, and got high on the ladder, now the algos are against me.

Forge Adventure looks like fun too

this is a brawl deck I've made some years back, but haven't iterated on much. The main goal of the deck is to generate tokens consistently with emmara and buff them up with anthems so I can win through combat. I like the deck, and win a good amount of the time, but I need to update it; are there any cards that would fit the deck that I'm missing or bad ones I should just toss? I have my own thoughts on some cards, but I wanted to ask somewhere online to get other opinions.

The EV on the Metagame Challenge is so insane compared to every other Arena event, which are designed to fuck you for ever getting less than 3 wins. It almost makes me think it's an oversight, and WotC suits don't realize how generous the payout structure is. If you have a decent deck and 10-20k+ gold saved up, you can spend all weekend just farming packs.

there's different matchmaking for each game mode including events such as the metagame challenges

remember these things were first created to see which cards should be banned/alchemized so tier 1 to 3 decks will be pitted against its worst matchups

Those are real people, yes. Them making mistakes is also a sure tell that you're not playing a bot. But be sure that there are bots as well. If not official, there are surely chink farmers running easy to play decks. Though I suspect that they have in house bots as well, it'd only take one Habsbro boss to hear about AI and how it'd improve their game, to have them forced in.
