Reminder that Modiphius wrote an adventure where a member of Capitol's elite (Not!Trump) decides that the Dark Soul can't be defeated. He believes that the only way to spare humanity is to keep the Dark Soul amused, which will happen if everyone is made miserable and constantly subjected to various kinds of low-level torture.
So he teams up with this insane corporate reject (a blue-haired woman) to manufacture red pills that transform people into angry spree killers, and blue pills that turn people into Dark Symmetry-infused wizards. He hands out red pills, his deputy hands out the blue ones.
The players have to trace the source of the pills and confront Stevia before any more spree-killings happen.
This was written in 2014-2015. You can find it in the Dark Symmetry Campaign Book.

You have to understand that this book was written by people in a state of seethe.
Sort of like God's Teeth for Delta Green, which is about how illegal immigration is good and ICE is evil, actually.
The protagonists are basically faced with a choice of whether to kill some (obviously corrupted) kids, or let them out into the world.
If the PCs just do the sensible thing and kill the kids, the book gets pissy and goes "Okay, you won. Happy now?"
Fuck yeah I'm happy, those kids are barely human. They can eat shit.

We need more shit like this instead of redundant, self-referential "play it safe" slop. This gives you
>A character based on a living person that you can easily reference for inspiration
>A scenario inspired by real, current events that anchors your players to the setting and stakes
If this was made in the 90s, and instead of Not!Trump it was Not![Insert 90s business tycoon] it's something you'd eat up and go on about how sovlful and based it is

I must respectfully disagree, if only because it’s precisely based on irl shit that I would never do it. I know my players, and trying this kind of scenario on them would basically take them as far out of the game as possible. They’d basically be too fixated on ranting about Trump to even play the game at that point, much less care about making his Mutant Chronicles counterpart get stuffed. Which is generally why I keep it a policy not to bring that kind of shit to my games, I know certain subjects just aren’t worth the hassle.

One of the disadvantages of being the majority producers of pop culture and art is that when you crash out and burn, it's visible from orbit and effects the historic record. It's not going to be deniable years from now that something happened in the mid 2010s to the 2020s that just mindbroke the entire creative world.

From GRRM not finishing his book to every single fantasy and sci-fi series self-destructing, vitiligo becomning the dominant fantasy aesthetic, etc, it's all fruit of the same diseased and blightened grove. It cannot die quickly enough to avoid humiliating and disgracing itself before it goes.

I'm not sympathetic to these people at all but at this point I don't even find it funny in a sadistic way, it's just painful. I would rather they just continue as though nothing had happened instead of this, right now it feels like fucking Chris Chan cursemehameha-ing people and it's fucking sad.

This is so embarassing it makes the Protestants finally giving up on Creationism look positively dignified by comparison. I never thought I'd see the day when it got this fucking bad. Maybe this is what happens when you let trannies write everything? But no, even Trannies are more self aware than this.

Term used in therapy, mainly with war veterans with ptsd, referring to things that unconsciously cause them to relapse. In other words, "trigger" their trauma and temporarily relive their worst nightmares. And thing is, it made far more sense in that most triggers weren't planned out or even logical, it could be a car backfiring in the neighborhood (sounds a lot like a gun) or loud banging in the dead of night (sounds like enemy soldiers) that causes it to happen. And half the reason so much of it was emphasized was to help the patient try and rationalize themselves back to reality as well as make themselves and their loved ones aware what causes them to minimize the amount of episodes they have.

And then a bunch of pampered rich spoiled twerps who think bad words on the internet are destroying them emotionally co-opted the term to water it down to "anything that makes me feel bad", and now here we are.

Question.
The 1980s was a period of massive wealth and prosperity in the United States. Throughout the 1980s, the average corporate tax rate was 46.2%.
Why does the corporate tax rate need to be lower than this today?

If the current corporate tax rate was doubled to 42% - so still lower than it was through the 1980s - it would result in the US taking in about $425 billion more per year than it currently is.

So...what gives? Why don't we do that? If a HIGHER corporate tax than this worked well for corporations and businesses in the 1980s, why wouldn't it work today?

Okay, but Democrats don’t control Congress or the White House right now. And Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill is, among other things, set to make the 21% corporate tax rate permanent.

So…how, precisely, has Trump “pulled back the curtain” on billionaires, except to reveal that hey, turns out he’s a billionaire and is just as invested in screwing over the average American and screwing the country out of revenue as the rest of them?

A corporate tax rate increase of just 1% (to 22%) would pay USAID’s entire annual budget with several hundred million left ove for, I dunno, pray away the gay camps or whatever nonsense Republicans want to support.

Now you're just being obtuse and also I don't know what a Correia is. If I were to read fantasy today it would be what, Joe Abercrombe or Brandon Sanderson? Abercrombe writes cartoonish grimdark and Sanderson is... Sanderson. Neither of these are Tolkienesque. I don't know what the protagonists being male would have to do with it. What I am saying is that brainrot has completely eaten away at peoples' creativity in the genre, and it has increasingly become absurd political signalling.

Obviously if I go run a game I'm not going to fill it with deliriously stupid shit, that doesn't mean that the deliriously stupid shit isn't everywhere, and it is absolutely worth commenting on it being everywhere because the people producing it are going out of their way to make sure we all see it. >corporate taxes
We raise these taxes. And.... nothing happens. You could tax 100% of the wealth of every millionaire and billionaire and only get enough money to run the government for........ 9 months. What HAS changed is a hydra of,
1.Increased Federal Programs
Welfare, Medicare/Food Stamps make up more than 50% of the federal spending and this has increased year after year.
2.Removal of high paying jobs.
The loss of manufacturing and the movement of a service/managerial economy moves the earnings to the manger class while turning everyone else into servants.
3.Ever increasing inflation.
To pay for all of this the Federal Reserve continues to print money and devalue the purchasing power of the middle class while inflating the worth of the managerial classes holdings.

Um. A few points.
First, that’s a facility in Texas. It has nothing to do with USAID, which is an international endeavor.

Second, an annual savings of $215 million/year really isn’t anything much. When you consider the size of the US economy, it’s approximately the equivalent of buying one less steak dinner per year.

Thirdly, I’m not sure you should be reading the New York Post, ever, on the grounds that the end of that article says that DOGE is trying to cut $100 trillion - note the “T” - from the budget. That would entail cutting the spending of every nation on Earth to $0, and then finding a way to cut an additional $15 trillion.

But anyway. The main point is my second one. DOGE keeps making these cuts thet sound impressive to the average American because the average American has no conception of how much money the US actually has. In practice, it’s kind of been a boondoggle.

We don't want to use the tax system as a way to take out our anger at not having fathers on imaginary people, we want to eliminate the source of actual cultural rot which was being funded by us.

Your seething over this is understandable, the cultural legitimacy you imagine you have was all bought and paid for through covert means. Now it is gone. We are not going to steal money from people to fund your ideology, quite the contrary. We don't need gay camps or anything like that, we already ended Pride month by turning the tap of infinite taxpayer dollars off. Go pay for it yourself if you like it so much.

Ever hear the phrase “a rising tide raises all ships”? The goal of USAID is to promote economic growth in other countries. Wealthier countries have more money to spend, which creates more jobs, which creates more taxpayers, which generates more revenue, which can then be invested, etc., etc. America is a wealthier nation if Guatemala is made into a wealthier nation because wealthier Guatemalans means they’ll want o buy American products or go on vacation in Disneyland or whatever. Also their own products, to be clear.

If anything, USAID is massively underfunded.

The fact that you think you're winning is funny and cute. I remember what happened during BLM when hooting gorilla niggers chimped out on the coast, and you were like "Wait and see what happens when they get to the red states." Then when they got to the red states you said "Wait and see what happens when they get to the suburbs." Then when they got the suburbs you said "Wait and see what happens when they get into the rural areas!" And then they did and you didn't say jack shit because you had the decency to be embarassed.

You won't do shit, fatty.

>reinstate slavery
The populations of non Whites are a outright tax drain, with many taking more taxes through prison, with slavery American manufacturing becomes competitive with China.
>remove women from the workplace
The removal of women will drive wages through the roof, and the enforcement of family creation creates more stable households.
>passage tolls
The US Navy keeps the international seaways open at zero cost, this needs to end. Every ship passing on the sea must pay a fee per tonnage or they won't be protected from pirates.

I respect you for at least trying to use logic. It's just not good logic. It's just knee-jerk justifying whatever you need to so that you're always feeding your confirmation bias. Remember how the economy was doing GREAT until 5 days after Trump was in office, at which point it was not only shit, but it had ALWAYS been shit, and it was Trump's fault?
Nobody takes you people seriously anymore because you just use whatever 1984 Double-Think logic says you're right, and then you get confused why people just brush you off instead of taking your complaints seriously.

Sure, but there are ways of doing this that don’t involve guns and military bases.

>I could use the same logic for literally throwing coins into a crowd of homeless bums.
Not quite, but if you took the homeless and found them jobs that they were capable of doing, while also providing for basic housing, then yes.

>Remember how the economy was doing GREAT until 5 days after Trump was in office, at which point it was not only shit, but it had ALWAYS been shit, and it was Trump's fault?
…no? I remember it doing fine until he actually enacted his tariffs, which created economic turmoil, exactly as everyone said it would were he actually to enact them since it created market uncertainty. Because that’s how economics works. Economies like stability and hate chaos.

What I do remember is people PREDICTING that the economy would get worse under Trump, but that was just because people were, y’know, taking him at his word when he said he was going to enact massive tariffs for, really, no reason at all, other than not understanding what a “trade imbalance” is.

Stop gamewatching and run actual games. If you want to read fantasy today and want something that's written in the S&S tradition, well first off you're shit out of luck because S&S hasn't been in vogue for decades (nothing to do with political signaling, all to do with editorial priorities) then you can just look for the contemporary authors and projects (magazines, collectors, zines, etc) that write in that tradition. There's also thousands upon thousands of fantasy from that era that I'm sure you haven't read because it's a metric fuckton, so it's not like you're in an actual shortage of "classic" fantasy.

Aside from that, I'd say that entertainment being political is bad only when it is so in a purely performative fashion. Writers saying what they genuinely want to say, raging at things that make them mad, weeping about things that make them sad, laughing at things they consider ridiculous and so on is exactly how things should work.

Democratic loyalist here: no, we weren’t. We just didn’t care because:

1. No sitting President who has been primaried has ever lost the primary;
2. No sitting President who has been primaried has ever won re-election;
3. No sitting Democratic President who could have run for office, but chose not to, has been followed by a Democratic President for over 150 years;
4. Biden

We backed Biden because everything we knew said he was our only shot at beating Trump. We just, as usual, vastly overestimated the ethics and morality of the average American.

Speaking plainly: Biden could have been a comprise vegetable locked in an iron lung and we’d still vote for him, not because he was Biden, but because he’s not Trump. I honestly believe that leaving the office vacant for four years would actually damage the country less than having Trump in office right now is doing.

Caleb Egostokes & Dennis Dickwielder are two of the most flaccid political fantasists in the industry, which means, among other things, they are the mirror equal opposites of Trump morons like Marlon Zuckermusk. The screed writers who think it necessary to say "child rape baaaad" (akin to pointing out that "entropy happens") are useless twatwaffles, whereas all pedophiles (even the elected & appointed ones) need to be terminated with extreme prejudice.

You’re missing the point. It doesn’t matter if Biden was a dementia patient, he was still the best shot Democrats had at beating Trump. He had a very successful record as President - pic - and him being primaried, or stepping aside, would have guaranteed a Trump victory because of points (2) and (3) that I brought up.

You’re looking at the entire thing wrong because you’re obsessed with your cult leader and so assume that we must be obsessed with one of our own. We’re not. We didn’t want Biden. We wanted *anyone but Trump*.

>>95856818
Democrats didn’t lose on the issues. The biggest thing voters said caused them to vote for Trump was “high inflation” - this despite the fact that on Election Day, inflation was under 2%. It was low enough that the Fed had cut rates to keep the economy from stalling, and it was well below the US historical average of 3.5% or so. We didn’t lose on the issue, we lost on the perception of the issue. We lost because a plurality of the country were told pretty lies and chose to believe them because it’s what they wanted to be true. Like I said earlier - once again, Democrats overestimated the ethics and morality of the American people.

>>95857080
Unlikely. Sanders is an actual Socialist. If he were the Democratic frontrunner in 2016, then suddenly Trump is the (perceived) moderate candidate to Sanders’ extremism. Socialism is a dirty word in US politics. Ultimately, Sanders has a high floor, but a low ceiling. In an actual election, I do not believe he’d win because enough people would knee-jerk away from Socialism.

You know how in Parliamentary democracies, you vote for a party, and then after the elections are done they work together to form a governing coalition with other parties, because it’s rare for any one party to have a majority in Parliament?

That basically happens in reverse in America. The primary season sees the different factions in each of the two major parties having votes cast within them to elect a candidate who basically forms what will be the governing coalition if he wins, and then the two competing potential coalitions are voted upon in the general election.

The upshot is that the People have more say in the eventual government they get as compared to a Parliamentary Democracy, as in those the governing coalition is formed via deals and agreements made between politicians after the voting is done and you might, say, vote for Liberals and despise Conservatives but then end up with a government that is a Liberal-Conservative coalition because that’s the only way the Liberals could get a governing majority. The downside is that American politics look extremely chaotic, and are highly influenced by popular sentiment which is, demonstrably, short-sighted and more concerned with immediate gratification than long-term benefits.

If people wanted secure borders, they wouldn’t have voted for Trump. From 2001 to 201, the illegal immigration rate fell from 1 mil/year to 300K/year. This drop was consistent across both Bush and Obama’s presidencies.

From 2016 to 2019, it rose from 300K/year to 850K/year. In three years, Trump essentially erased fifteen years of progress. That it got worse under Biden (at first - nevermind that it dropped in ‘23 and ‘24, I guess) doesn’t change that Trump has a proven shitty record on immigration and is the last person anyone who wants secure borders should vote for.

Nevermind that Biden’s border situation was deliberately made worse by Republicans when they wouldn’t vote for HR 2 despite it being a wish-list of everything they asked for.

Japan's economy appearing to be stronger doesn't mean that the US' economy wasn't strong itself. The recession ended in 1982. The GDP growth rate was consistently above 3% from then until 1991. The GDP in 1982 was $3.34 trillion; by 1990 it had risen to $5.96 trillion, while inflation over that time was an average of about 3.9%, which is only a little higher than the US's historical average inflation rate of 3.5%. Unemployment fell from 7.5% in 1980 to 5.4% by 1988.

If you can point to something actually material that suggests that the economy was bad in the 1980s, I'd like to see it.

Dems lost because control is their drug, it matters to them more than beating Trump ever will. They rigged their third straight primary citing Biden's incumbency priority, then rugpulled Biden for an even worse blank slate puppet, then proceeded to overreach beyond the usual DNC screwjobs into 3rd party campaigns, derailing RFK's bid (which not only was the candidate with the highest favorability in the race, but also was a candidate whose presence was helping against Trump in the swing states) with a swathe of frivolous lawsuits designed to drain his lesser funding regardless of win or lose and drove him into Trump's cabinet after bragging they couldn't handle anything resembling diplomacy with the man. As a result, they burned bridges with most flavors of Independent on top of the Leftists with their wishy-washy Israel policy, and millions of blue voters were simply too demoralized to leave home because of their nonsense campaigning.

Will they learn from this? Considering they just ousted Hogg for daring to be even a fraction relatable to the general public, no, they will just bank on their eternal scapegoat Trump to push people into their arms.

Anon, america also had nearly 3 trillion in debt, when total debt was 845 billion in 1979 and 371 billion in 1970. The fact we were using artificial money to prop up the economy in hopes of recovering enough to pay it off isn't the same thing as a healthy and growing economy. America absolutely advertised it as a magical full recovery, because economies are build on people's trust in the system, but america was still completely fucked.
Also anon, Economies don't magically become good the moment a recession ends, they take time to recover. America might have been able to get on the path to recovery during the 80's/early90's, they weren't fully recovered and growing. The dot-com bubble later completely sunk those dreams of recovery.

I chose the 1980s as a time when the US economy was unquestionably good. Another good example would be the 1950s, where the corporate tax rate was 50%. So why can't it be 50% today, especially if the goal is to start tackling the national debt? His voting base of 3 people. Again, you're confusing favorabiltiy with electability. Simple, they would move their headquarters to a different country and continue operating in america. Those that stayed would collude to raise prices +100% to make the consumers pay the entirety of the tax and then some.
A globalist economy like loses nearly all its ability to enforce taxes on companies unless it starts shutting down business with companies that aren't american headquartered.
It also can't keep collusion from happening without enforcing the anti-trust laws on the books, start splitting up large companies between states, and forcing them to actually compete so that the customer has the power to vote with their wallet.
That's the rub. 1950's america was built off an isolationist hyper-capitalist economy. The current corpo-socialist oligarchy of america isn't capable of actually sustaining the economy long-term.

That's not how that works. America isn't a business, it does not make profits. Having half the country's money be Debt is a horrible, Horrible economic position to be in. That's not Growth in unless you're comparing it to the Cancer kind.
The GDP-to-debt has continue to grow until GDP was Outpaced in 2013. That's a magical thing called "Economic Momentum". The dot-com bubble wasn't just a minor economic downturn, it sabataged any hope of stopping another great depression, one that was about to manifest in 2007-2008, but was delayed until now by government spending artificially propping up the market with programs like "quantitative easing".

The US economy has gotten worse every year since the 60s in real terms as wealth is increasingly concentrated in a smaller and smaller handful of individuals. Increasing the corporate tax rate should be done, however, you're an ignorant retard if you think that would fucking matter lmao. Look at the Deficit, then consider the fact that typically only even refers to "discretionary spending" and that "mandatory spending" is 90% of the blackhole and realize that an extra 425 billion doesn't matter. You can't tax your way out of debt. The issue is that ALL rich, Democrat and Republican, are parasites who have been stealing from the Americans and global world over to enrich themselves beyond measure. You can't vote your way out of this either. Most of the new rich are card carrying Democrats with portfolios that have 40% returns for a reason.

Uhhh tabletop games.

Ireland, Cayman Islands and Bermuda are the typical tax-havens. You also don't technically need to have the majority of your business operate out of where you're "headquartered", plenty of businesses put up one office build in those places and pretend it's their most central facility.

America's isolationism had ended, at minimum, by 1942. More realistically by 1938 since that's when America began ending its neutrality in the war between Japan and China by terminating the 1911 commercial treaty.

>Trump has hispanic supporters
Trump's support among Hispanics is currently dropping. But in any event, I never believed Trump was racist. He's opportunistic.

>Illegal immigrants are not.
Sure, but what Trump is doing right now is resulting in actual US citizens, born and raised in this country, being deported. And there is no basis for his policies, seeing as illegal immigrants statistically commit less crimes (of any kind, from jaywalking up to murder) than natural-born citizens generally, and since in the specific case of, say, L.A., the crime has been trending downwards for decades (even when accounting for the fact that until 2015 the LAPD was actually under-reporting crime).

Oh yeah wanted to say.

The only way we fix this isn't the corporate tax rate or income tax or any of that utter bullshit. The way you fix this is to tax wealth itself, which no one, especially not yourself, is advocating for. Make a tax based on the actual assets (houses, land, businesses, vehicles) and make it grow exponentially the more you own. Your first house has a 0.05% tax. Your second is 2%. Your third is 4%. Your fourth is 20%. And so on and so forth and break corporations and people like Bill Gates on a fundamental level so even if they do fuck off to a tax haven it doesn't matter because they can't just own 21% of the land in Montana anymore the tax rate would be over 100% of the actual value past a certain point and continue to grow from there.

RFK had some of the best policies on tackling the major issues, from inflation to abortion. The media chose to focus solely on the vax shit despite him not mentioning it at all in his campaign speeches or debates, because that's where they get their paychecks (remember, OTC medication ads serve literally zero purpose except to bribe network influence because they aren't retail products and no doctor is going to give a shit if you ask about a commercial's recommendation). And I really wouldn't discount the following he garnered, Independents are the largest demographic in America nowadays and he acquired more ballot access signatures than any other candidate, at the very least his party was guaranteed to earn enough to legitimize itself, which spooks the powers that be more than Trump ever could. And, considering the margin in which Kamala lost the swings, they really did in fact need his "3 people" in her corner.

And even then, it wasn't just RFK, Stein and Cornell West, and even the other DNC primary opponents well got attacked by the blue establishment while Trump just had to kick back and ignore it all to appear the more reasonable to anyone who wants a choice in future elections besides two uniparty sellouts.

>The issue is that ALL rich, Democrat and Republican, are parasites
The funny thing is that they aren't actually rich. Because over 90% of a given upper class household's money is tied into stocks, and selling any those stocks would lower the worth of all their stock, they instead take out loans with stocks as collateral.
You may be wondering "If they take out a loan, how are they paying it back?", and the answer is that they take out another loan. With their stocks as collateral.
One serious economic depression will literally turn 99.999...% of the former top 1% into broke bitches buried in more debt that the lowest 1% currently.
That's why so much government money is going into the stock market right now.

I work for a corpo and they made 15 billion in profit this year.

They invested 800 million in the company and 14.2 billion in stocks and bonuses for the top 5% of the company. Wages and insurance have gotten worse every year for the last 10 years, they cut pensions two decades ago and stopped paying into existing pensions 10 years ago. They won't buy new tooling, halting promotions for 3 years, are now looking at "rate adjustments" instead of promotions promising that it will "pay more to employees" (the math is literally 2nd grade and demonstrably untrue they're just lying lol)

Paradigm has been the same and always will be the same. Those with power, take more power, until the system breaks. The rich cannot exist without stealing from the masses. Anyways go be a faggot somewhere else you simpering toddlers, I'm definitely sure you'll be rich one day too even though your real wealth has likely declined over the last 5 years just like everyone else. But if we give more tax breaks and allow the rich to screw us even more it'll trickle down eventually right?

>>95860558
You can raise the corporate tax rate to 200% and it won't do a damn thing. People need to understand why they're getting poorer even as their paychecks go up and until that happens, and people understand that you have to actually go after wealth itself if you want an egalitarian society where a middle class can exist and you can afford a house, we're definitely not going to see the corporate tax rate go up more than 5% lmao. If anything, corporate tax rate is a distraction and a lie sold by the establishment to make people (like the average leftist) target a false solution to a real problem that obfuscates it from them, ensuring they'll never actually figure out anything useful and continue to be a useless, gormless mass.

An ethical investor actually researches the company they're investing in and the market surrounding them to see which one have future potential for growth and slowly accumulate money assisting in top level decision making.

For example: I knew a guy who noticed florida had a shortage of available toilets during certain community events, so he built up a business renting out porta-potties to local districts when a big holiday, sporting thing, or other event happened. Used the money from buy a couple and renting them out to buy more, along with trucks and workers for cleaning and transport.

God you people are so gay. I love Mutant Chronicles and Warzone but we never have threads about it.

Anyway, I recently commissioned an artist to do a facelift / light redesign of the five Dark Apostles cause as much as I love Muawijhe and co the art is a little goofy 30+ years on. I think it turned out pretty good.

>DOGE keeps making these cuts thet sound impressive
Even if they're not impressive, why should those fags be allowed to waste that money anyway? Sure it's a drop in the bucket, but the entire bucket is made of droplets.
It's like
>oh you're just saving 20 million, don't you know that we waste 20 BILLION? What a waste of your time lol
This isn't a good argument bro
Unless doge is actually SPENDING money instead of saving it, then any amount of saving it is better than none.

You are trusting the information that DOGE is putting out, but it has been proven they cooked the books and are not counting their savings appropriately.
https://www.forbes.com/sites/conormurray/2025/02/19/here-are-the-biggest-doge-hoaxes-and-inaccuracies-as-8-million-canceled-ice-contract-listed-at-8-billion/
Second, by cutting National Parks, the IRS, and other services along with firing a bunch of government workers the US government is actually going to lose far more money that is saved because a lot of these things bring in more money than is spent, and a lot of them provide actual services to US citizens which are no longer being provided.

>I'll say something like "I don't see why cancelling a bunch of retarded USAID programs is a bad thing."
Because tens of thousands of people have died already from those cuts which made up a negligible amount of our budget. And not just anyone but some of the poorest and most impobershed people on earth, including children. Even from a (psychotic) selfish perspective USAID provided a huge amount of soft power and goodwill towards the US which has been destroyed.
You are certainly retarded, and you probably have some kind of mental hangup from your childhood which has caused you to seek a new daddy in the form of a political strongman. Please never post again or better yet kys.

>If the PCs just do the sensible thing and kill the kids, the book gets pissy and goes "Okay, you won. Happy now?"
I mean, SOMERSAULT is mass infanticide motivated by the Director's personal fear of Deep Ones. It is quite literally and without exaggeration attempted genocide perpetuated by a shadowy paramilitary group within the US Government with little to no actual oversight. If you want to talk about fascists, The Program is led by a baby-killing race purist.
Delta Green has already made the decision as to whether or not it accepts "child-killing racists", and the answer is definitively yes. That's the writers' decison. They can decry the effects all they want, but shooting tainted children is absolutely standard operating procedure for Delta Green. The agents are morally flexible at best by the very design of the setting and game.

>Because tens of thousands of people have died already from those cuts which made up a negligible amount of our budget.
I think we're just in a holding pattern where we just have totally incompatible perspectives on what's happening in the world.
Because, apparently, you say all the facts I have access to are lies, and honestly, I think all the "facts" you have access to are lies to. 'Tens of thousands of people have died,' yeah right. I think liberals just literally make up dead kids because if you make up enough dead kids you can justify whatever you want. It's the same reason everything is Hitler Nazi'd; if you call your opponents Hitler, literally anything is justified and on the table. And then you say I support Hitler or whatever just because I don't acquiesce to your fake bullshit every single time.
There gets to be a point where I just say you're the boy who cried wolf, and I don't believe you when you talk anymore.
To make myself even fucking clearer, it's not that I want people to get hurt, or die, or any of that. I don't even really disagree with the left policy position.
I just hate the idea that the left seems like an endless propaganda mill. Your leaders and little propagandists lie so fucking constantly that, honestly, if you feel like I don't take your opinions seriously, I'd honestly just say that this is what you get when your side lies this much. People don't listen to you anymore or give you the benefit of the doubt.
But hell, maybe you have roughly the same opinion, from the other side of the fence. I'd like to trust you and meet you in the middle, but every time I do that I just get nickle and dimed into compromising with a person who will absolutely not compromise with me under any circumstances, so we're just in a mutually shitty impasse.

Actually, necessary work continues to get done. For example, one of the USAID things that was cancelled was free AIDS medication for African children. Alright. It did get cut in the blanket cuts.
But the Red Cross immediately stepped in to pick up the slack, and frankly, I get that having their funding cut is a big disruption, but any US orgs that are genuinely necessary will get their funding back, and until then they're being supported by the dozens upon dozens of charities who do the same kinds of missions.
In other words, it's not that bad, but you want to lie about all these dead kids because you're forcing a narrative. No kids are actually dying, you're basically just saying that they hypothetically could, which means they are, which means I'm a bad person for not doing whatever you say.
So... At some point I just start responding to you people with rolling my eyes and telling you to fuck off.
It reminds me of when AOC did that photo op of herself at a parking lot fence, lying about how there were a bunch of kids in cages. She was actually at a parking lot in a different town and it was a lie, but for some reason I was supposed to overlook that it was a lie, and still trust your scam propaganda bullshit after that. It just seems like obsessive, constant narrative weaseling, twitter spinjob BS, and then you wonder why I don't listen to you?
You're absolutely right that I'm not taking you seriously, and I don't really care about what you have to say all that much. I think that's a reasonable standpoint because your side has spent the last decade shoveling your credibility into a furnace. I wasn't the one who made you do that, but it's just the causal consequence of your own media strategy.

To this day the best take/essay on the subject of whether politics belong in gaming is this one by Shamus Young (rip)

https://www.shamusyoung.com/twentysidedtale/?p=33885

tl;dr politics in fiction isn't automatically bad and can actually be quite good, but there's a lot of ways to fuck it up, which writers often do

Shamus died too young.
The vast majority of his opinions are just obviously right. And anything that's even slightly controversial, he always had the good sense to either not talk about it at all, or talk about it in a very measured, reasonable way.
He's a (Minor) cultural figure that continues to stand the test of time untarnished. In a cosmic sense, his legacy is secure.

I somehow don't think it would be beneficial for the American economy to have a corporate tax rate that's double to triple the rate in European countries.
You already have companies fleeing to Ireland because of corporate tax being proportionally high in USA

Also, why would you want higher corporate taxes? The only thing that does is make it harder for businesses to suceed. Surely you'd want to tax the people who give themselves a high income based on the earnings of corporations, and maybe find some way to tax capital gains fairly so there's no loopholes.

>We know for a fact that Trump is deporting US citizens
Do you really think ICE has deported a ton of US citizens these past months and none of those people have managed to get hold of a phone to call the press, or have families who have complained to the media? You don't think that sounds kinda far fetched?

>for all we know less than half of those deported are actually illegals.
... Anon, what?
Okay, I've spent a little while trying to find some info on this, and I read a couple articles, including a New York Magazine one called "All the U.S. Citizens Who’ve Been Caught Up in Trump’s Immigration Crackdown"

And the list of confirmed legal US citizens who have been deported are as follows:
>A 2 year old who was deported to Honduras because ICE obviously doesn't take underage kids away from their mothers
>a 4 and 7 year old, also sent to Honduras with their mother
>5 siblings aged 10-18, who were deported with their parents to mexico

So 8 children who went with their parents. These aren't even wrongful deportations by the way. ICE isn't supposed to break up families, so this is the only solution. Those kids are still birthright citizens, so they can just come back when they turn 18.

Honestly this feel similar to that poll that showed the average democrat thinks 50.000 unarmed blacks are killed by police every year when the real number is ~8. People expect the numbers to match the amount of outrage they see in the media.

Or how more unarmed black men are killed each year by other black men in Chicago than have been killed by police of all races nationwide in well over a decade. No demonstrations or gold coffins for them though.

>he was still the best shot Democrats had at beating Trump.
Because Democrat manipulation to hide Biden's condition prevented sufficient outcry to run another candidate. Otherwise, there would have been TIME for someone else run run a campaign, someone not completely senile.
>We wanted *anyone but Trump*.
And that's what caused you to get your ass kicked so completely.
>Democrats didn’t lose on the issues.
Democrats lost on nothing but the issues, and the fact it was literally impossible for Harris to win. As part of Biden's administration, she shared accountability for his many, MANY failures. But she can't condemn those failures, without condemning herself, so she was forced to say Biden did nothing wrong. She never had a chance.
>vastly overestimated the ethics and morality of the average American.
The inherently superior ethics and morality of Americans is why we voted FOR Trump, dingus.
