TQ: Since UB discussion is banned this thread, whats your favorite original Magic commander or card?
Thirty (30) starting life is objectively superior to fourty (40)
>new player
>whenever he doesn't know where to allocate damage he rolls a dice
I hate this shit so much. Who the fuck taught them to do this? Is there some Youtube channel where they always fucking do this gay shit?
Either the damage matters or it doesn't. If it doesn't matter, I don't care. If it does matter then making it fucking random won't make me less likely to retaliate.
If you don't know what target priority is, don't fucking do the damage, or just man the fuck up and look someone in the eye when you do it.
Above all else, if someone else is about to fucking win on their turn don't fucking do damage to ME based on a fucking dice roll.

I went on a date with a nice girl with blue eyes a couple nights ago, we kissed goodnight in the parking lot and she kissed me back, we made out for like 4 minutes, I asked her if she wanted to sit in her car for a bit, she said "not on the first date" so I said okay and kissed her one more time and then said goodnight. I texted her a few hours later to make sure she got home safe. She said she did and had a good time. Then the next night I texted her asking if she was busy this weekend. She never replied or even opened my text. It hurts and honestly I can't take much more. I'm losing my job anyway so I cant have a girlfriend anymore. I still think about Thalia. I still about God how I wish I was good enough for her but I never will be because I'm genetic trash. I wish I could stand by the guardian of Thraben in battle and die for her. I am so tired and so miserable fo being unwanted. Giving my life for Thalia, the only woman i could do such a thing for, that I would happily sacrifice myself for even if she wasn't carrying my children, I would do it. Just to hold her hand later as I die after slaying a dozen enemy warriors to protect her, would be a fitting end to my life, I would have no regrets. I fucking hate this game and have nothing to look forward to except for Lorwyn Eclipse coming out next year, if they don't cancel it again that is.
I wish I was worthy of Thalia love but no matter how much money i make or how much I work out and train HEMA I will never be good enough for her.

>>95867772>>95867779They'll be in it thanks for letting me know they exist ^.^ I just looked at all white legendaries with ETBs and I have 5 choices I think.
Nadaar, was originally gunna be Sefris esper cycling but I remembered 3 color is gay nadaar still has the venture mechanic which I do like.
Loran, card draw and removal with the slide seems good just doesn't give my deck much direction and I like some.
General Leo Cristophe, could be fun, mono white mill/reanimator. I'll have to see what kind of creatures have cycling in mono white but it could all interact really well, cycle, flicker him, reanimate the cycler.
Fortune, I like mounts, just a decent etb, and i like mounts
Beza, generically strong ETB hard to find fault with it. Definitely a wincon in the command zone with a proper sac outlet and other effects.
Leaning towards General desu which pains me but a fun card is a fun card and mono white self mill seems fun.

>>95868174"Something old, something new, something aggro, something blue"
You should build a control deck. Talrand can be built on a budget. You can even build a Talrand control deck with Leveler and Thoracle as your only creatures then sneak a combo win through mass polymorph. If Thoracle is gay, you can do it with Laboratory Maniac and some kind of draw to increase the number of pieces in your combo and give your opponents more room for interaction.

>>95868190If I didn't I would have like four fetches stuck in binders because I never play certain colors.

>>95867810Depends what you mean by "budget"
If you mean under $100 it's doable in a few colors, but if you mean under $50, its not- or if it is it's going to play like shit.
A lot of hatebears cards get pricey because they're very spashable and if they're powerful enough they just block off a whole aspect of the game until dealt with, so they become quite desirable.
Pic related for example basically says "no commanders" on a 2 CMC card that can be Reanimate'd if dealt with, so it's about $13
For commander, this guy is probably right
>>95867872Selesnya is very cheap and forgiving colors because a lot of good green cards are common/uncommon.
You might also consider Myrkul Lord of Bones in abzan, or Drana & Linvala in orzhov.
I've been playing stax/hatebears at my LGS for a few weeks now, and while there's occasional grumbles I've actually been pretty happy with how it's gone down. I think we're entering a new era where stax isn't as hated as it once was. I think the trick is to avoid cards that fuck with lands. People fucking hate lands not untapping. Anything else? That's a bracket 4 deck. Tutors are a design mistake that the RC and WOTC never had the balls to ban. In a card game where randomness is a major factor in how games play out the ability to just dig for and pull out your game plan is an absolute dogshit mechanic, doubly so in Commander where 1-ofs is supposed to make decks feel more varied and unique.

I think I need a deck that doesn't durdle around with counters, tokens, or constant triggers that trigger more triggers.

>>95868232I play at an LGS with a buddy almost every Friday from 6 - 11, so we can get through around 5ish games depending on how degenerate or quick the decks tend to be. We stay around bracket 3, so wins tend to take at least 5+ turns.

>>95868174build a sans black deck. clearly you love golgari, but black is your most preferred colour. learn to play without it. maybe even go jeskai so you don't have green as another usual fallback colour that you are used to. i'm the same way, i have a shitload of B reanimator decks. to branch out i built vadrok mutate. it is still a grave based deck, but of a very different flavour. i really like vadrok over the aftermath narset because the spells don't get exiled and you can cast the same spells from your grave over and over. then, you run a few clone spells like quasiduplicate and cackling counterpart. clone your mutate stack (which is not a legendary creature anymore due to how mutate works), return the original stack to your hand, then throw vadrok under the new mutate creature. if you are lucky and do this a few times, you can have multiple vadrok triggers per mutation because you keep mutating on a token that has all the previous mutations. it's such a stupid mechanic, i love it.

>>95868773Yeah I have one. I like it a lot
>WinconsI don't really think about my decks in terms of "win cons" but here goes:
Idk the typical stuff, etb stuff or aggro, I would say standout cards for me have been threefold thunder hulk and boss's chaffeur, patron of the arts and witch enchanter. I also have a Jaxis deck so it was fun coming up with different cards for balloon man, since the balloon is only a 1/1 you have to be more creative with the aggro options. So creatures that come into play with one one counters are great, other than that white has some amazing etb's that he can take advantage of. Boros is amazing colors for this archetype, since most other entries are mono red and then saheeli. Imo balloon man is best because white is such an insane color, you get to remove all permanents.
Another card that goes wild with him is Nesting Dovehawk, because you get to keep the populated token permanently.
He goes infinite with village bell ringer if that's your thing, personally I don't run infinite combos because I think it's gay
He ends up being a good mix of utility and aggro, at least the way that I built him.

>>95868869they should change her and make all ninjutsu commander ninjutsu, plus the rogues-only ninjutsu guy

I have Yuriko and I don't play the deck because she's untaxed, I play it because I love ninjas, she's still insane even with the tax
>>95868847You can't just solely focus her down and kill her creatures in normal EDH, there are two other players to worry about and spending all of your removal on one deck leaves you open to get buttfucked by the two other ones. Even at high power you can't afford to blow tons of cards roasting all of the evasive attackers. Brawl incentives running a crap ton of single removal and control is a very real archetype in there. Yuriko buckles if every little evasive shitter has a doom blade thrown in their face. It's literally just the multiplayer aspect.
>>95868899To be fair don't most decks "buckle" if your opponent removes every creature you play lol
>>95868899>dies to removalthe eternal non-argument
post cards that dont die to removal
>>95868905Yes, but most decks are playing creatures with ETB value that do something even if they're immediately shot in the head. Yuriko is loaded with 30 variants of Changeling Outcast and Flying Man that do nothing on ETB or death. It's more fair in brawl than it is in regular edh.
Gishath buckles if every dinosaur has a doom blade thrown in their face. It's literally just the multiplayer aspect.

I have these creatures in play, along with the order they came into play.
I have max speed.
I cast opt. With the Tor Wauki trigger, I target an opponent on 40 life.
How much damage am I going to deal to an opponent?
>>95868964Why does the order matter here
>>95868969Came into play / choose to trigger.
I haven't kept up with WotC rule changes, for all I know the order that you play lands across turns matters now for whatever reason.
>>95868816Definitely sounds great! But man do I hate go wide. I'm too dumb to track and organize a field full of tokes and trigges, so I definitely lean towards a Henzie or Xenagos a few big boys playstyle. I'll try goldfishing a deck, but making tokens to have blockers and overrun definitely seems to be the ideal play with him.
>>958689640 because I refuse to take damage.
>>95868983It's not really "go wide" is the thing. You're making tokens but unless you do shenanigans (sundial, populate) to make them permanent they go away at the end of the turn. And unless you do more shenanigans(token/ability doublers) it's only one balloon per turn. So it's not really the same thing as like a classic orzhov "I have 200 tokens". The play pattern is more that you play an important piece and you clone it, impact the board.
It's more similar to a go tall but its a bit more tactical because the balloon is small.
>but making tokens to have blockers and overrun definitely seems to be the ideal play with himSo again, you can build him to make the tokens permanent but there is an opportunity cost for that. He's also sorcery speed so you can't make a token on an opponents turn. Overrun imo is not a real strategy for him because of the token persistence issue, you're never gonna have enough tokens for that.
>>95868947>Anon discovers why Pantlaza and Zacama are better dinosaur commanders
>>95868964You choose the order your triggers resolve.
>>95868964>>95869021Also forgot to add
>how much damage am I going to do to an opponent?5. Tor does 2 off the spell trigger, and then two triggers go on the stack from FF and Torban. Neither of their effects are actually doing damage themselves, so they don't trigger Tor or each other. Tor is the only permanent doing actual damage in the stack.
So the resolution is this:
>Spell>Tor trigger: 2 damage on stack >FF trigger: +1 to Tor's damage on stack >Torban trigger: +2 to Tor's damage on stack Now you get to choose whether FF or Torban's effect goes first, essentially whether you will be getting (2+2+1)=5 damage or (2+1+2)=5 damage.
>>95868693>Anything else? That's a bracket 4 deck.No. Tutors are allowed in all brackets and only limited in bracket 1and 2. Bracket three doesn't limit them at all. Bracket four is decided by the number of game changers and early 2-card infinite combos.

Literally a midrange commander. It provides strength and presence in the early game, it has strong consistent card draw so it can get the interaction and bombs it needs mid game.
>>95869771>Small, easily dealt with.>Exist to draw you cardsYou realize these two statements are at odds with one another, right? Dealing with the tokens via chump blocking means the Zurgo player draws cards. That's not "dealing" with them, that's giving the Zurgo player free card advantage. He WANTS you to block them. >>95869813>>95869826No, you dumbass, midrange uses a higher mana curve than aggro, trying to slow aggro down until the superior quality of its cards can eek out a winning position, while still being aggressive enough to kill control before they can stabilize. They are mid-range between aggro and control.
Aggro decks are also notorious for using cards like Ball Lightning or Mog Fanatic because they explicitly want to end the game before the other player can build up resources, and trading board presence for burst damage is how they do that (alongside straight burn) . An "ever growing army" is not aggro, aggro is "kamikaze everything because board state doesn't matter if your opponent is dead".

>>95870147>>95870152https://mtg.fandom.com/wiki/Midrange_deck
>Midrange decks are aggressive decks that flip the standard aggro-control deck archetype by attempting to control the early game, then closing the game with efficient creatures in the mid to late game. Midrange typically features few creatures in the 1-2 CMC range and instead tries to win with high-impact creatures or planeswalkers in the 3-6 mana range while casting strong interaction spells in the early game.[1][2] Midrange decks are best favored against aggro decks with powerful creatures and all its interaction active, and also tends to have the most impactful sideboards in any given format.https://mtg.fandom.com/wiki/Aggro_deck
>The typical aggro deck varies, as seen below, but it usually runs under 24 lands and 26-32 creatures (or creature equivalents), with some flex slots for supporting disruption. Rarely are there any card advantage options in the main deck, and four is the standard top of the curve, to maximize on land-light draws. Knowledge of how and when to Mulligan is hence extremely important, given the desire to close the game in under six turns. Manabases are important; without untapped dual lands, a typical aggro deck will falter to itself far too often to punish the falters of other decks, given that lands are usually cut under 24 to improve spell density. Monocolor aggro is usually around in some form simply due to the possibility of running 20 or fewer lands with no real mana issues. The balance between consistent mana, anti-flooding measures, and powerful top end is critical to creating a good aggro deck.
>>95870147>>95870152>>95870274https://www.cbr.com/mtg-guide-to-magics-biggest-archetypes/
>Aggro is the simplest of the deck archetypes, but it's also the most reliable and consistent. Aggro aims to either overwhelm opponents with threats or deal consistent damage that opponents struggle to deal with profitably. Their methods of removing creatures or preventing damage should, ideally, be more expensive or unwieldy than the threats themselves. Aggro does a lot with the principle of the Mana Curve, which is the idea of maximizing the amount of mana spent on each turn. Most aggro is constructed to have something to do in most cases with all their mana on each of the game's earliest turns.>Midrange is an interesting archetype as it combines factors important to two other archetypes. Firstly it combines the consistency and pressure of an Aggro deck with the answers and slower pace of a control deck. If aggro plans to dominate the early game and control plans to dominate the late game then Midrange is best in the midgame. To do this, Midrange employs efficient answers, often removal, combined with high-quality threats. Midrange plays with cards of higher quality, aiming to outvalue the opponent with powerful cards once they've prevented their opponent from taking the initiative in the early game. Midrange decks often prefer to play with singularly powerful cards rather than having synergistic cards. Midrange decks also tend to be the most expensive and benefit a lot from products that print directly into older formats like Modern Masters.
>>95870147>>95870152>>95870274>>95870276https://draftsim.com/mtg-archetypes/
>At one end of our spectrum are aggro decks. These decks look to end the game ASAP with a critical mass of cheap creatures to rush down your opponent. Aggro decks tend to go all in on winning within the first turns of the game and donโt have much removal or many grindy cards to help an extended game; win or lose, aggro matches tend to be decided early.>Aggro decks are full of cheap creatures and spells and have a low land count that facilitates playing spells as quickly as possible, ensuring they have the critical mass of damage needed to take an opponent out. A great example of an aggro deck is Pauper Kuldotha red.>Midrange sits in the middle of our spectrum between control and aggro, borrowing a few pieces from each. There will often be plenty of cheap interaction just like youโd see in a control deck, paired with efficient threats that one could see in an aggro deck. It often walks the line between the two, looking to out-aggro the control decks and win quickly, but slowing down against aggro decks and grinding them out in a longer game. But please, where is your fucking "correct" definition of midrange, oh glorious word-master?

I can't think of many true aggro decks that actually go tall instead of wide. And I fail to see how Zurgo is inherently midrange in his design. His whole thing is spitting out quick turn and burn creatures every combat that are meant to either die in combat for card draw or die on the end phase for burn. His synergies are with cards like Cathars Crusade and Impact Tremors, not the kind of midrange overruns you typically see in EDH. Moonshaker Cavalry, the Craterhoof in his color identity, can't buff the mobilize weenies.
>>95871184That would just make it even more fitting. Two games with incompetent developers kept on life support by crossovers with IPs that didn't shit the bed.
>>95871200Cathars and Impact tremors are two midrange wincons my guy
>>95871219Tremors can be used in either aggro or midrange depending on the context. If you're playing a defensive deck where you have guaranteed sources of tokens every turn it's fine as a piece that gives the deck inevitability. Zurgo is not using it as a midrange piece. At all. That deck is trying to make so many tokens so quickly while hitting the opponents when they're generated and when they die that it's more of an aggro burn tool. That's why Zurgo is Aggro Aristocrats. He's taking the aggro tools from red and adding them to the usual Orzhov Aristocrats shell while being a source of tokens, burn, and draw himself. It's Aristocrats but very, very fast. Purphoros, Elas il-Kor, and Adeline all at the same time is more than the constituent parts.

>>95871613old cards will still remain. nothing will ever be the "same" as the past, Dragonstorm being a full-on MTG set that revisited a previously cherished region showed that.
sure, it's good, but it's not the "same", and nothing ever will be. the sooner one gets over that, the sooner one can go on enjoying life and stop shitting up generals on here.
Guys Niv had the entire Izzet League record Ugin getting his knot stuck in my ass and now all of Ravnica is making fun of me. I think it's time for another War of the Spark but Ugin isn't approving of it.
>>95869304sir was too gendered but they wanted it to still be pronounced the same
>>95871717Unironically better motive than the first one.
>>95871717This is the type of official storyline we get from wotc and all of you have the gall to complain about ub
>>95871730Incorrect. It's better.
>>95871717Uh dude you are supposed to wait for it to deflate
>nontoken
what the fuck were they thinking
>>95871491>>95871525I thought the 14 deck was dogshit, but after playing it unmodified some I was actually impressed. There's a few dogshit cards in the 99 but the commander and the better cards carry the chaff.
There's so many weird little cards like pic related that over perform big time.
>>95871730>This is the type of official storyline we get from wotc and all of you have the gall to complain about ub>GUYS GUYS I POSTED IT AGAIN! I POSTED THE BAIT ABOUT UB BEING BETTER THAN IN UNIVERSE SETS DESPITE KNOWING THAT UB IS THE REASON THAT IN UNIVERSE SETS HAVE GOTTEN WORSE!!!And you'll post it 100 more times.
>>95866449
>>95871788That's not me
Maybe more than one person has the same opinion here
>>95871803Maybe more than one retard thinks the same bait is funny? Yeah I believe that.
>>95871788>DESPITE KNOWING THAT UB IS THE REASON THAT IN UNIVERSE SETS HAVE GOTTEN WORSEProof?
>>95871809One thing is certain, even if there's more than one person agreeing with me,there's only one (you) kek
>>95871839Image here
>>95866449Plus common sense.
>have contractual obligations to IP licensor>spend more time on their sets than your own for fear of being fucking sued if you don't
>>95871861So your proof is something another anon posted plus "common sense" aka your subjective opinion
>>95871871No anon, my proof is I'm on the Hasbro board of executives and I have a memorandum that word for word says that in-universe sets will receive less resources than UB to meet contractual obligations.
Will anything less be acceptable to you?
Gay Bolas is peak fiction
>>95871886Let's assume you're right
I still don't care because even before ub, magic put so little effort into plot, set and story that basically nothing has changed
I still like ub
>>95871934>I still don't care>I still like ubThere, was that so difficult?
Back to the trough now, piggy.
>>95871923the fuck did you just say?
>>95871886If you were actually on the board of executives you would be a grade-A retard to be out here sabotaging one of your top earning brands.
The bonus is that means there's no functional difference between pretending to be a retard over this and actually being a retard over this, so believing your drivel is never on the table.
Iโve never proxied any cards, but these official card โdesignsโ are so fucking low effort I might start. Jesus Christ even my grandma could generate better cards on fucking bing image creator. Buying modern โrealโ cards is a hard sell when theyโre low effort screen grab slop.
>>95871968>If you were actually on the board of executives you would be a grade-A retard to be out here sabotaging one of your top earning brands.Holy fucking autism.
@grok what is sarcasm?
>>95871939You're really not doing a good job convincing me to change my opinion anon. Anyone can tell who you are by your use of strawman and hyperbole.
Anyway enjoy your hat sets I guess
>>95871980Pretending to be a retard on the internet it is then.
Also: Fuggen got em.
>10/10 character design
>trapped in mediocre game
>card is barely playable
Wasted potential.
>>95872011>>trapped in mediocre gameThat is ever FF character
>>95871693>nothing is the sameman this hits kind of hard. getting to revisit tarkir should have been cool as fuck. but the cards nothing about the set is nostalgic. not even draft plays similar. it really just was a dragon hats set with a tarkir theme. same as detective hat ravnica. wotc really doesnโt know how to make make a fun game anymore.
>>95871999>Pretending to be a retard on the internet it is then.I literally think you're too autistic to understand the conversation you read and I dont think you can be helped
>>95871976It could always be worse. Like this.
>>95872026It's especially true for 16 though. The only legitimately good parts of the game were the Titan and Bahamut boss fights.
>>95872006yes canonically yuna is a white mage milk summoner. she literally milks the soul out of tidus and sends him into the sky of sin. youโd know that if you played all alternate endings of x 2
>>95872047I have heard this of every FF game released after the PS2
>>95872040why are there so many ants on his feet? did he slather his feet in butter? why do gay feet keep winning?

FF lore question: why is bartz a twink?
>>95872099Because V is a FF game, next question.
>>95872099Because that's a design from Dissidia.
>>95872039If you were trying to be funny, you should try harder next time.
>>95871367You fundamentally misunderstand the concept. Hat set means established characters playing pretend. I think the only character in the actual BLB set is Ral.
>>95872195>If you were trying to be funnyGod it must be miserable to be so autistic that you can only take stabs at the intentions of others and miss each time
>>95872270And Tamiyo, Jace, Tezzeret etc etc etc etc
>LGS didnt have Lyse Sext
Its fucking over
>>95872278Again you fundamentally misunderstand both hat sets and product releases it seems. BLC is bloomburrow commander. It is not BLB. The only established character to show up in the main set, meaning actually present in the story, is Ral.
>>95872270>>95872288>You fundamentally misunderstand the conceptYes, he's doing it on purpose because the term "hat set" makes him irrationally mad, so he's going around calling everything a hat set in the hopes of either making it so meaningless it gets dropped or makes the people that use it look so incoherent and ridiculous that they're shamed into avoiding association with it.
>>95872272Share the stage fucko the clown, if you're going to get this bent out of shape maybe take it to reddit.
>>95872282If you're looking for the borderless then you go find your wife king, but she's in the fucking commander deck.
>>95872335>Share the stage fucko the clown, if you're going to get this bent out of shape maybe take it to reddit.Yes that's it, attempt to lash out and end up on top to save face. That'll work.
>>95872335Yeah I was devastated when he said commander deck after i asked i already knew it was a no. Im going to make a proxy of her with one of these two arts. Never even played FF
>>95872270Magic's Universes Within lore is a group of Marvel-tier fantasyshit characters jumping around from plane to plane fighting Cthulhu/Borg ripoffs. 90% of the planes have no defining feature besides "EVERYONE HERE WEARS X/LOOKS LIKE Y". Bloomburrow's defining feature is that it is a totally Generic Fantasy Setting But Everyone Is An Animal. It is the absolute definition of what a Hat Set Is.
>>95872413>Never even played FFsorry to inform you that she's a bitch. she was better when she was pretending to be her bimbo sister.
>>95871638>he gets genuinely emotionally invested in pop culture nerdslop and expects others to be as well
Who's the most fun red copy commander? (Not necessarily the strongest)
>>95872542Nope! It is an entirely unique plane with a unique set of characters (minus Ral). No one (minus Ral) wore the animal hat. The world is just a world of animals and the characters are animals.

>>95872617>literally forgot the coolest one
>>95872585Thats okay my penis likes a hot bitchy woman
>>95872617My Calamity deck is one of my favorite to play. Being able to get 2 different etbs or just two of the same one is really good. Horses are really cool too and the haste at least makes up for high CMC.
>>95872617Kiki-Jiki and Rionya everyone will assume you're running combos.
Jaxis' inherent card churn is easy to overlook but helpful.
Dunno if that makes her the most fun though.
>>95872608>he isn't invested in the long term health and state of the game>disparages others for caringAre you a shill? Are being paid to be this retarded? It really seems like it.
>>95872617I have played ryonia, Jaxis, feldon and delina
Out of those I kept feldon and Jaxis
Feldon is too cool in mono red very unique build because of the gy focus
Jaxis is super cool with the card draw and smoothe out your game
Delina is good if you like to gamble
Rionya is remove on sight sadly but importantly I didn't like how she played with the mix of creatures and non creatures
Counter blitz deck has a very nice โlevel upโ and โpartyโ theme, with few creatures making big attacks, and a recurring threat in Sin, the set might get flak for being soulless UB slop but if you like final fantasy and cohesive themed decks they did a great job with this one.
>>95872806was this panel a devilman reference?
also how does that replacement make any sense
>>95872813I made this just cause I thought it was neat

>>95872857Is it for you faggot?
>>95872413Lyse is hated by newer fans because she's the face of an expansion secondaries hate for not being like the slop that came after it. She's a ditzy fight girl and one of the characters that comes closest to being a canon love interest.
>>95872946>no uGood one anon.
>>95872978I don't think that's entirely fair. Lyse isn't the worst character, but after going on adventures with Alphinaud all through HW, Lyse's screentime almost invariable was "Lyse is also here" until it's "Lyse is instrumental in this... somehow." She's weirdly prominent without having a real strong arc, like she was picked out of a hat as "the scion that gets to go on all the adventures this expansion", only hers was the only name in the hat because ALA MIGO BELONGS TO THE ALA MIGANS.
She's not like criminally bad or even annoying, she's just a massive shrug.
As a 1.0 player, I just hate Lyse on principle.
They stole my Yda away and replaced her with what is basically a skinwalker.
Right after killing my nigga Papalymo too.
>>95873072She's there to have the stupid ideas naive players would have when dealing with the situations SB presents. When she becomes "prominent" she's just a figurehead and her place in the story is to deal with Fordola, her foil. People constantly overstate how important she's treated in-universe because they assume being the leader of Rhalgr's Reach means she's the leader of all of Ala Mhigo and the Eorzean Alliance's war operation but she's not. Raubahn is fully in charge of the military the entire time. People just assume it's supposed to be the same story as HW and Lyse is Aymeric but that's not the case.
Aymeric not getting a card was weird btw.
>>95867872Why is his left eye fucking huge?
>>95873432It's... not? Are you high?
Best ways to go wide in a zombie deck? I know dimir is literally the worst color combo to make a bunch of zombie tokens but Iโm wondering if a โzombie apocalypseโ style game plan combined with me stacking diregraf captain effects is good or not
.. so this is what I'm missing since I usually don't look at tg on the weekends
>>95873605There's really 2 options:
Slow and steady - tons of cards create a zombie every turn/when something dies/etc. Have several out and create several zombies passively
Fast - there's quite a few cards out that will create X 2/2 zombies in a different ways/timings. Also stuff like Necrotic Hex exists
>>95873638Could you name drop a couple cards for the โslow and steadyโ section?
>>95873645Nah man there's too many, plus what I'd like is gonna be different than what you'd like. Just put
(oracle:create oracle:"Zombie creature token") f:c
into scryfall and see what you wanna run
Thoughts on manfiest blink
>>95873605I go for a reanimator strategy with Zul Ashur. Tons of low cost zombies, lots of self mill, and then numerous mass reanimate spells.
Results in a deck that goes wide and is heavily resilient to removal.
Less boring than tokens IMO
>>95872287haha as an FF8 enjoyer I actually like this version way better than what we got. At least it actually fits. none of the screenshot cards really fit the art. they must have just had some intern search FF memes.
