Lower Decks mostly just puppets itself to be a Star Trek show that takes the piss out of Trek while still obviously loving and ultimately celebrating the source material. It’s cut from exactly the same cloth as Galaxy Quest (voted by Trekkies back in 2013 as the 7th-best Star Trek movie of all time) or The Orville. I like the show because it’s a good show.

Also? Roddenberry wasn’t necessarily good for Star Trek. Remember that he never had more control over Trek than he did with The Motion Picture, which can most charitably be described as “trying really hard to be 2001: A Space a Odyssey without quite getting while 2001 was good”. Also the first season of Star Trek:TNG, which is by a wide margin the worst season.

I do think he’d hate Lower Decks, but it’d be because he didn’t have control over it. He also was openly critical and dismissive of every Trek movie after the Slow-Motion Picture (he wanted to decanonize VI outright), and he’d have hated Deep Space Nine too not just for the fact that it takes the Federation to dark places, but also simply because it’s a Trek property that he didn’t make.

Getting a specific number of limbs, or a lot of different combinations of body parts usually won't work from just text to image. What you can do is generate a few, get one that's close and then edit it (even crudely) in photoshop, then you can use image to image and/or inpainting to smooth it out.

The general shape of a prompt matters a lot. Unlike the text to search or search to text models, image gen wants absolutely no sentence fluff. You aren't writing sentences, you're writing states and objects.
The general structure of a prompt should be the following: Style, location, object, state[, object, state][,object, state] etc. Each time you add a object though the harder it gets on the AI. You also want to cut basically every preposition or conjunction out of the prompt except two words that pull a lot of weight in english, And and By. By can be replaced by other distance qualifiers like nearby, beside, next to, away from, but you really have to test to find out what works.
Nouns and adjectives are the only things in the object portion and make up the bulk of the prompt. State is the only place to put verbs and adverbs and needs to be short and simple.

Andorians have four sexes because in the TNG episode "Data's Day", Data offhanded mentions that Andorian weddings require groups of four, as part of a larger dialogue where he's talking about Keiko and O'Brien's pre-wedding jitters with Troi.

Star Trek nerds, being Star Trek nerds, took that line of dialogue and ran with it, giving Andorians four sexes in the novels because...why not? They're not human and this helps make them more than just blue-skinned people with antennae. It also made them egg-laying marsupials. And then Trek nerds, being Trek nerds, proceeded to argue about whether or not this should actually be canon for decades.

The novels existed in their own separate universe from canon, of course, but Star Trek plumbed non-canon sources for ideas all the time. The Vulcan city of ShirKahr, for example, is from the at-the-time non-canon Animated Series, but Enterprise canonized it.

Lower Decks just did the same thing with Jennifer. The agenda wasn't "lol trannies", because among other things you'd think that if it was they'd just out-and-out confirm she's got a big swingin' ovipositor; it's not like show was coy about sexual stuff otherwise, so why would it be here? It's a lot more likely that the Andorians' four sexes was canonized just because someone on the Lower Decks animation or scripting team wanted to "win" the argument about Andorian sexes, found themselves in a position to canonize it, and did so. Their reasons were way more likely to be petty than political.

The wording and order of prompts does matter, which has been proven more than anecdotally. Take the images to left. What I was looking for was a full-length image of a goblin walking down a medieval gothic street. The words in both posts were the exact same. However, in the first, I described the goblin first, and the street second. This gave me a dozen gens of "waist-up" images. But changing the prompt to describe the street first then the gobbo, caused the point of view to pan back a bit. describing her boots before the rest of her clothes also prompts Bing to try harder to work them into the picture.

Point being, how you write a post make a difference in the results. You still get a ton of variance, but there are ways to get Bing to lean in the direction you want.
