Lushian doesn't have a home, yet,so he spends his time in random abbandoned buildings. Locked doors don't really mean much to him and The City has no shortage of places to crash at. He tends to stay in high or well locked places that would be difficult to reach without his particular combination of powers. He jus sleeps there and moves on, but tries to not leave the place dirtier than what he found it like.

I do plan to get him a house at some point. It would be relatively normal, to showcase how he also feels more normal. Probably still somewhere high up if he gets a choice tho.

A small intro for Lushian, ended up becoming a more complex piece but still kinda small. I hope I got Cheeseburger and Wyze right, this is the first time I make something with so much dialogue with characters that are not mine or NPCs, or at least it feels that way.
It's related to two mysteries in a tangential way, and opens up a plot hook near The Park, but doesn't really delve into them.

A 5th year student who has only been at Hogwarts for three years now, he joined late due to a unique circumstance that prevented the ministry from identifying him at an appropriate time.
He was quite a trouble maker, frequently getting into fights with others for even the most innocuous reasons. However as he has become more comfortable in the magical world this has all but resolved itself, no longer feeling like such a fish out of water. He is a loyal friend and dedicated athlete, enjoying fitness and training much more than studies.
He has a strange friendship with the ghost Ink-Stained Iggy and is one of the only (living) people that Iggy interacts with coherently, though no-one can really figure out why.

There's a small group of Quidditch enthusiasts that I think are somewhat close in Hufflepuff specifically (Oaklynn, Ciaran, Oliver, i'm pretty sure),
Lennox and Minagi are close and Olympia tends to hover around them due to her connection with Minagi specifically...

I don't think there are so much "defined friend groups" as there are a lot of loose associations based on shared interests. Everyone kind of just hangs out with whomever because most students are generational geniuses that could easily get a class exception or pass from the teachers to go do whatever.

She doesn't explore anymore, but when she was still a young Applin she would often paint pictures on walls or hone her skills on wayward ferals.

Nowadays, when the Supersweet Stowaway is facing low crowds and she's bored, Valentine still draws plenty. She's actually quite good at it, and has considered selling her paintings before, but decided against it for the love of the hobby. She's similarly interested in many other humanities: music (she loves to sing as much as she loves to talk), philosophy, poetry, writing. She writes really fluffy romances, for the most part, but can actually put out some decent work when she isn't feeling bratty. Funnily enough, she thinks history is very dorky but theatre is the real deal. If some kind of traveling actor wanders in she'll be star-struck, but she's about as accepting of historians as any given Parkgoer (not very).

Also happy to see this. I figuerd he would have a rocky start with Lushian mostly because Wyze is trying to keep up the way things were done before and Lushian doesn't aggree, for a variety of reasons, but in the end he still respects him a lot for simply attempting the job.
I also probably should do a chart, I was just waiting for a couple more builds because I am not used to updating charts as I go, but maybe I should anyway.

Personally I think Otto would fit in with the group due to being a misfit, but then again most of the builds are misfits in some way.
I was not aware it got that bad with Lennox being considered a dark wizard already, but it kinda makes sense when he openly reads forbidden tomes in the library. He would definitely get along with the crazy ghost, the combination of Dotty and Brilliant should allow them to have something resembling a conversation. Do you think Otto's opinion of Lennox would change if he knew about his sister?
I can see a sort of arc forming, on his part Lennox would get along pretty well with Otto, reading the chart and backstory Otto acts a lot like Lennox wishes he was allowed to growing up, and would ironically be one of the few people at school fully prepared to taking a fist to the face. Of course they would have to get over the first impression stage first, which may involve said fist to the face.
Also cool spell, It would be really useful in the knife arsenal.

What Lushian does it heavily dependent on what stage of life he's in and how it progresses.

Right now he just does nothing, not really meditation, more like introspection? He sits and ponders the world and his scrambled memories. He also likes pokemon watching, sitting on high places and just looking at life go on, it has a calming effect and makes his remember things sometimes. Right now he doesn't have much free time, and in some cases exploring is somewhat relaxing to him as well, especially the Market is pretty much safe for him at lower levels so he can relax there and look at the strange architecture. He tends to help people in unseen ways while wandering around town, finding missing objects and similar stuff.

As time goes on he would normalize more, getting a proper house and maybe a garden. He would be more open about helping people and would start researching in a less active manner, probably helping Tenna in the library. Depending on how many of his memories he manages to recover he may start trying to replicate some of his old passtimes.

It might be superhuman technically speaking but there's no way it could possibly be worth being the most expensive option ever. All it does is make it so you don't have to keep practicing/training once you git gud, that's it. You don't become any more super than any other guy on the street that keeps on training, it does basically nothing when you consider that "training to keep up your fitness/practicing to not forget what you have" is something that happens offscreen. It's so minor you could just give it for like 1 point or for free to everyone and nobody would notice

I think Paradox forms are fine, they are just like the reginal dragon types and similar pokemon, of course apart from the ones based on legends.

Alright, I am going to clarify one thing specifically here because you completely misunderstood it:

The Nightmare thing is a drawback, not an upgrade. It's a downside because it constantly interrupts your sleep, only shows you one random monster of many that you could possibly face *that day alone,* and shows you it in a manner that can seriously rattle you. It's supposed to be sort of like those painful prophecies you sometimes see in movies, where people that can see the future get visions of really bad shit and it affects them enough to make normal people fear for their safety. That, but with slightly less dramatics and more frequent occurrence.

I agree it's probably not going to be a super beloved choice or anything, but I feel like if I end up going into normal supe territory it's going to make the CYOA painfully generic. There will be little to no point in having the monster there if the human is as strong as a normal superhero, and there will be no point in having the human there if the monster gets those powers instead.

Generic "you're invulnerable" "you can harness the elements" "you can raise the dead" stuff is also just painfully boring, at least to me, and it's ridiculously hard to balance against just being supe stuff without ending up very lame. I always see either "you can harness all plantlife with no caveats" or "you can make plants grow a bit quicker" with little in-between, and I spent several hours trying to find a middle ground but I really couldn't find one.

Stuff like Burning Hands is a compromise meant to keep things unique while allowing for some more slightly generic supe stuff, and is probably as far as I want to go. Vaguely adjacent to something very familiar (in this case, fire elemental stuff and becoming a human torch), but with a specific application that would enhance another in-CYOA power (inventors and smithies would benefit from having constant access to an on-demand extreme heat source, for example) while allowing for creative use of the supe allusion (instead of just breathing fire and making everything burn itself to the ground you're physically applying the burns, including force in the equation and negating the downside of rain putting your flames out).

Otto doesn't have an awful lot of 'spare' time. Especially in his first and second year he had to undergo after-lesson study to catch up to regular curriculum training. That said, he enjoys athletics of all sorts. So he could most easily be found either in the Library studying, or in the outer grounds running or shadow boxing. He has joined in a few times with other students adventures though he isn't really a ring leader in these events and is usually dragged in by coincidence or because Iggy provokes him to tag along. Aside from athletics and quidditch practice (thanks to Ciaran), Otto is trying to codify his unique spell Celeritas, having largely used it previously by instinct.

His relationship with students really varies person to person. He tends to look favourably on younger people, but has no tolerance for bullys or snooty people. From his initial reaction, he is growing to dislike Slytherins as a whole.

Yeah, Otto has a pretty big family. His dad is a retired boxing coach, now co-owner of a gym. His mother is an accountant. Its almost like he is adopted or something. He is very protective of his siblings and reveres and loves his parents. He often chastises himself on their behalf when he is being lazy or loses his temper. He likes to talk about them a lot, but mostly to Iggy (especially in his first year when he was the most socially awkard).

No plans for after Hogwarts at this stage. Otto largely is looking for ways to make his families life better/easier with the use of magic since its just an incomprehensible difference to mundane living. As a long-shot dream he would love to be a professional athlete, but his parents don't want him to "all-in" on sports knowing how easy it is to have a single bad day and lose your career. What he misses the most from before enrolling is time at home with his family, and his "normal" friends. He has found that he has lost a lot of what he had in common with his friends, since they live now totally in different worlds.

He gets along well with Hufflepuffs and most Gryffindors, though in his early years did butt heads with some of the more outspoken Gryffindors.

He has two different "styles". First is for duelling and is largely based on Professor Travers teaching. Its academic and is largely based around proper use of Protego, Expelliamus, and Stupify. It is largely a fencing sort of style where you strike, parry/block, strike. All while trying to read an opponent and find the right moment to strike with overwhelming force.

*Otto's* combat style is not at all suitable for the wizarding world and involves beating the ever loving shit out of people. Expelliamus? Nah, lets break their fingers or put them in an arm bar. You need words to cast a spell? Lets see you speak when you are holding a broken nose and are swallowing your own teeth. Against serious opponents this is only really achieved through surprise or overwhelming speed. Luckily for him, few if any Wizards expect such a mundane approach to fighting so are very much vulnerable to a punch to their throat. For those who are ready, he needs to use Celeritas to evade their spells and close the distance.

As he has matured and really developed his understanding of charms, his fighting style has only become more and more scrappy. Using wordless, wandless Accio/Depulso to pull and push enemies and well as objects to confuse and destabilize them. Mixing in concealment charms to make his opponents lose track of him, or blinding them with a sudden Lumas Maxima.

He has recently begun experimenting with the use of a targeted confundus that makes the victim unable to properly control their limbs (they move an arm instead of a leg for example). And weaponizing the Arresto Momentum against groups of fast moving targets.

They were convinced that it was in Ottos best interest to attend Hogwarts and to rapidly get control of his newly developing powers. He responded well initially, but did not welcome the idea of boarding school.
