A little bit of both actually.
I usually just mess around with random ideas/prompts for a while until something I really like pops up. Then I tweak with it and sometimes come up with some lore after.
A little ass-backward, but I find it actually helps with ending up with slop I enjoy.

A dark fantasy portrait of four gaunt, otherworldly humanoid creatures standing together in eerie dim lighting. They are bald, with grayish, almost translucent skin stretched over thin skeletal frames. Each has elongated limbs, oversized black reflective eyes, and pointed ears. The atmosphere is ominous and shadowy, with a subtle horror tone. Realistic rendering in the style of a gothic oil painting, with detailed textures and dramatic chiaroscuro lighting.

A 60 foot burst doing massive cold damage and additional void damage to living things caught in the blast.
I can neither confirm nor deny Serena yelling a Megumin-style "EXPUROSION!" as she casts it.

Black Shuck
A completely black dog the size of a horse or cow with a glowing red eyes. Seen by coach drivers since middle ages. They attempt to cause crashes or accidents by howling, attacking, or just running in front of the driver who swerves to avoid it. Usually happens are night, but there are reports happening at all times. Still seen to this day. I know this because I actually have seen one. Longer story than worth writing but many long haul drivers will tell you they've seen the black dog. They jump in front of your truck and disappear.
Ghost? Demon? Could be both or neither. Doesn't help there are hundreds of black dog stories.

The tale of the Techpriestess continues from >>95873479

>Ever closer, the Lord of Change approached, until Salafié could feel its cold breath upon her face. The daemon's voice was little more than a harsh whisper, though it vibrated the deck plating with each hateful word.

>"Apostate of Mars, I stood before you once upon a world nameless in the tongue of your race. You knew me not then. Know now that I am Zar'Barzaviel, Herald of the Changer of Ways. And know that my master bids me show you that which is known to Him alone."

>Visions assailed the Priestess as the daemon inflicted its power upon her, a maddening swirl of images tracing out the infinitely branching paths of her fate. Until this moment, Salafié had never truly contemplated the implications of the synthetic immortality she had snatched from the vaults of the Mechanicus in those last frantic months before her excommunication. Nanotechnological resurrection had seemed a mere contingency against the power of her foes, but now she saw the truth of it, as not centuries, nor even millennia, but the yawning abyss of true eternity stretched out before her.

>Friends, lovers, enemies; all flickered into life, grew old, and were gone almost before she had seen them. Victories and defeats followed one upon the other, until both lost any meaning. And though she would die a thousand deaths upon a thousand worlds, each was but a moment's rest before she was dragged back into the endless march of fate. In time, she would witness eons of blood and flame as a rising tide of metal surpassed the era of flesh, first glorious, then unbearably silent.

>For all the varied paths of wonder and horror, the visions inevitably converged in the dizzying recesses of a future further before her than Mankind's birth lay in the past. Down path after path, Salafié saw herself walking the ashen plains of lifeless worlds under the fading light of dying stars, facing eternities of solitude at the very end of time...
Anonymous No.95903348 [Report]
Anonymous No.95903360 [Report] >>95905500
>>95903343
>Yet even now, the Priestess saw that redemption was not wholly beyond her grasp. Among the innumerable visions of timeless horror, Salafié was shown a shining image of a moment centuries from now, where she could choose kneel in fealty before the Primarch and forge the fleets of a new Great Crusade at the right hand of Archmagos Cawl himself. And somewhere, long millennia down this path, there were even hints that she might somehow gain a blessed final death, with pilgrims praying at her tomb.

>Desperately she tried to cling to this vision, but it dissolved away into mist, leaving only the leering blue daemon standing before her. She implored him to let her see it once more, to show her the way to this future. Yet the daemon merely laughed.

>"The price of that secret would have been your soul, yet you squandered that currency long ago to buy the immortality you now dread."

>"Then why did you show me this?"

>"To chastise your pride," the daemon hissed, "For all that you are, and all that you may one day become, never shall you be more than a pawn of fate."

>It was then that a thought came to Salafié from that part of her mind the daemon could not reach, a mind of wires and silicon and archaeotech arcana: If she had no soul left to sell, she had no soul that this Warp-spawn could threaten. Suddenly animated by a wrath that eclipsed her fears, the Priestess leapt to her feet.

>"You dare mock me, daemon?" she cried out, lunging towards the Lord of Change with a fury that would have made the Emperor proud. Yet as her gleaming metal claws closed around the daemon's throat, it merely evaporated into a cloud of blue feathers and raucous laughter that echoed away down the corridors, leaving Salafié alone to contemplate the revelations she had been forced to witness.

>It was, as it would happen, not the only envoy Salafié would receive from the Immaterium that day...

Another stroll in the forest, but this time for a specific reason. She wanted to find again the mysterious house grown out of the tree she found back then when she was chasing the little goat running away with her basket.

Eventually after an unusual amount of searching she finds the house. Something appears off about it from a distance however. No malice or fear, just exhaustion.

How long roughly has it been?

There's plenty of stuff that could finish her off for good if she really tried. Anything that completely obliterated all the nanomachines that regenerate her body would do it, from a direct hit with a nuke to even just falling into a metal smelter Terminator 2 style. For that matter, there's enough immortal beings in the 40k setting that she wouldn't really be facing eternal solitude in the first place. The daemon was just showing her half-truths to fuck with her mind.

NTA, but in 40K's lore it's mentioned that Techpriests tend to remove right cerebral hemisphere to get rid of all "unnecessary" things going in their head, and replace it with a cogitator acting as an additional left hemisphere

>My question is, what would happen if she got cut in half.
A brown and white dog appears and tells you that's an unsafe image.

But anyway, she would appear to die the way anybody else would upon being cut in half. But if the two halves were left close together, little mechanical limbs and writhing cables would quickly start to extend out of the cut surfaces of the halves of her body and reach towards each other until they met and pulled the two halves back together. A few hours to days for the internal bits to hook back up they way they should, and she'd be good as new. Alternately, if someone separated the halves at a great distance, only the larger portion would regenerate (so no Sorcerer's Apprentice style cloning by chopping her up), with her spilled nanomachine-laden blood aggressively grey-gooing the surroundings to create whatever autonomous machines were necessary to regrow/rebuild the missing body parts. This would be a lengthy process that could take months or even years to complete, and may cause considerable devastation, particularly if anyone tried to interfere with the growing mass of self-assembling machines while it was doing its work.

>Is she still bio brain or not?
As pictured. The parts of her brain responsible for higher consciousness are organic (hence why she's emotional, hedonistic, and thoroughly insane, rather than purely logical as per this anon's >>95907951 comment on the default Techpriest setup). But her cerebellum, brainstem, and spinal column are mechanical, housing a potent cogitator that functions as her subconscious, along with various cable sockets and antennae with which she interfaces with tech.

I have no idea why Bing allows this but not so many other things. She's not just naked, she's double-naked!

Rusulka
Eastern european lake/pond mermaid. Not particularly dangerous in old myths. Mostly just sort of like walking along in the woods and accidentally coming across a naked woman taking a bath.
