>>95921667Not all of them on the list are mass murderers. Honestly some of them did do good for their nations for a time, like Mao.
I had to study communist China. China in the beginning was a shithole and the communist basically didn't really change things, they actually let factory owners/city leaders keep their jobs to run things and had them teach their party members how to do the jobs or just outright recruited them to the party.
Shit was actually working too, they were getting bridges built, new forms of education coming to the countryside, broke landowners unofficial powers, created a temporary and working farm system, etc until Mao wanted to copy Stalin and had heavy belief in heavy industry. Then you got the Great Leap Forward.
After that, he realized it was a fuck up and backtracked. It was also at this time, he started getting pissed because the Communist Party basically became the state they fought against (and for all Mao's shit, he was someone that actually believed in communism and I respect him for it, even if don't like it) and started the Cultural Revolution to try and get the party back on track and destroy the past. But that led to a fuck-up between moderates, brown-nosers of Mao, and true believers that thought things weren't going far enough.
Shit was fucked for China overall, but the communist won because the people were ultimately sick of warlords/Chang and communists did offer them a better system and education. Also the commies literally went out of their way to murder crime gangs in the city and suppress them, which won them huge adoration by the urban dwellers.
