Minus like 4 other mystery niggas that only contact him for a e-meeting, Big Bad has been building and collapsing nations for a millennia and using them to dig up large vaults of the old civilization tech.

His ultimate goal is open the core of the vaults to flood the world nanomachines that will recreate the world from 1000 years ago and convert the bodies of the current inhabitants into that of the old civilization and bodyjack them for the old inhabitants who are living inside some of he nanomachines.

This was part of a big plan him and the old civilization had in-case they all fucked up. He didn't expect the current race to appear and they helped sped everything up because they are easy to manipulate.

He's going to crashout when his plan is toppled.

>His motivation?
To complete the big ritual fueled by thousands of innocent lives.
>Why?
Because it'll work. And it'll make it so none of this even happened, including the ritual and the death of the innocents.

Break into a populared dimension to rule over it so he can return to his rightful place as the True King, despite being altered by his deposition into a different Archetype entirely.

At this point he's just waiting for someone who is strong enough to make him feel something again. He's been sitting in his skull fortress atop Murder Mountain for nearly a thousand years after he embarked on a campaign of interplanar destruction that literally reshaped the world, completely apathetic towards the legions of evil toadies who are all trying to impress him with greater and greater feats of malice. Imperial wizards keep an eye on him in his throne room and he's literally just been sitting there, unmoving, for decades. The highest levels of his fortress are utterly devoid of intelligent life besides him and some wandering security golems. His followers only vaguely understand him since most of them have never even seen him and they think he's as raring to go as they are. In reality he simply doesn't care anymore, and to his mind, getting out of his chair for the remnant civilizations that have only barely been holding back his hordes of horrors operating independently of his influence would be like swatting a gnat.

At this point if some epic level heroes showed up to he'd probably just smile. He's bored more than anything and if someone could actually hurt him he'd be pleased as punch to see them try.

He wants order and stability at any cost and isn't big on things like rights or freedoms. His endgame is crushing the last remaining bastion of resistance, which the PCs are trying to prevent.

He was a hero who lived too long and became the villain. He was so hellbent on driving out the Turks and keeping them out that he ended up devastating his own people and revelling in power.
