The problem right now with sisters is that it has terrible internal balance; only like three units out of the whole codex are powerful and they nerf the whole book because of them. Rules are temporary, models are forever, and we're gonna have a new edition here soon anyway, so don't worry too much about that though. Just a forewarning.
Sisters in general is about hedging your bets with strategic trades of your units for an opponent's; you 'bet' on a few of your units killing something important of the enemy, you move those units into a position where they can do that, use your miracle dice to give yourself the best chance possible, then if they objective is accomplished, getting to KEEP those units you wagered is basically icing on the cake. Because your units will fall like blades of grass from pretty much anything in the game.
They have probably the best range of models in the game though, with Celestine being pretty much the nicest looking unit GW has ever put out. Tons of hobby potential with the new kill team unit of random imperial cult hangers on too.

tl;dr you will suffer for your art, but if you have the strength, it's worth it

The save roll then represents something that would have put the model down, if not for what they were wearing. There's a whole argument about whether it should happen before the wound roll or after, but the answer is that it's simpler for one player to settle all their rolls first before the other does.

I looked into recasters and the quality is spotty in sharp bend areas. Aside from that I need 12 to make the terminator list I want to do. 55 terminators for 2000pts, and the marines I'm modding.

Are obliterators even good? 160 points for 2D3 lascannon shots seems kind of bad. They have a flexible profile but let's be honest they're going to shoot once.

They're good with 2D6 str8 Ap-2 2damage wiping marine equiv's. 2D6 attacks, 3+, 2+, -2sv can wipe their worth in about 3 turns. Sometimes in two.

Now add in dark pacts, choices of detachment abilities for example; a tzeentch unit of oblits can crit vehicles and monsters quite fast with a dark pacts. Or if you're terminator heavy to begin with... They're a natural choice.

The blast profile is also really good against marines and they are no slouches in melee either. They also can do some neat tricks with detachment rules.

In renegade raiders they get to advance and shoot which goes a long way to mitigate their atrocious 4" move, they are also infantry so it's easy to go through ruins and get in position for a safe indirect shot.

If you put them in pactbound, mark them as Tzeentch and have them hang around a helbrute buddy you have them with sustained and lethals on 5s, and can use skinshift to heal a model up to 3 and bring back a dead one back for 1CP, so the enemy has to really commit to killing them in one turn.

The problem was them separating the CSM and daemons in the first place. It should've never happened.
In the past with CSM you didn't get access to all of the same shit as loyalist marines, but you made up for it by having access to daemons and daemon engines.

With Anvil Siege Force a unit of 10 Intercessors can:
Hit on 2+ standing still.
Fire 40 shots as a unit of 10.
Wound anything on a 5 or 6 because +1 on wound rolls.
Get a 2cp overwatch at normal BS. That's another 40 shots.
Have a leader unit attached to give them fights first, so they get their 30 melee attacks(theoretically) before the enemy gets to attack.

That's 40+40+30 attacks for a 160pt unit and a 70pt leader if you choose to use them that way.

I was looking around the internet for ideas of a weird cool army. I first was going to do scorpions and looked into 3d prints. All of those models were low to the ground and I lost interest.

Then I found D&D mini's (mostly due to wife playing D&D over discord+programs). I looked over the model range to see what weird stuff I could make to return to 40k with. I bounced off returning at 8th edition due to PRIMARIS stuff and being a chaos dude previously.

I found they made 4 different spiders, and felt sticking to D&D mini's would be best for everything involved. I figured out which models would be what monsters and went to work looking at sizes (I fucked up only one and it was the neurolictor, will be fixed).

An anon earlier between my two orders of models told me about how pre-heresy there was a arachnid planet. So I made that their place of origin.

Super spiders that are tyranid losers and made it offworld and began to hyper evolve into what they are. No super big stuff. Ripper>Hormagaunt>Genestealer>Von ryans Leaper>Neurolictor>Broodlord is how they evolve.

They cocoon themselves and eat their molted carapace during each metamorphosis. I tried to keep their statline near each other in linear order. Orks have a lot of shit units like battlewagons that are extremly overcosted for what they do which is usually nothing. You can basically either take what you want and get tabled or take 120 boyz and focus on scoring on as many primary and secondary missions as you can because orks do not ever table their opponent this edition and you are only going to win by racking up as much points as possible while having a couple of AT units deal with any problematic armor. Orks struggle ALOT with armor heavy lists thanks to GW cucking the army out of all of its AT options.

Warbosses are good for deathbricks of boyz because they make the boyz hit on 2s and the warboss gets like 10 attacks during a waaagh! and if you have a 20 group of boyz with an warboss you can attach a 2nd character like a painboy or something to make them tankier but don't overspend on HQs you don't need a leader for each unit. Trukks are good if you want transports, space marine rhinos are only 5 points more and better in every way but this is what we get stuck with so take em anyway, if you need anti-tank you got tankbustas, squighogs, meganobz. Your still going to struggle to kill tanks even with these units but its the best we got.
