>Previously>>95957135>TQFavorite Eldrazi card?
>>95966803 (OP)>>95966789I was going to call it a very weird adventure card.
I kinda like it.
>>95966803 (OP)So it's the 2025 version of Evoke
>>95966803 (OP)The mechanic is Kino and we are getting Eldrazi in Standard. As i said this fucking set will break several formats.
>>95966803 (OP)eldrazi r aliens?
>>95966943No there's an Alien creature type now also.
>>95966803 (OP)>TQ The one and only
>>95966928>As i said this fucking set will break several formats.Again?
>>95966849More like eldrazi winter vagina.
>>95966803 (OP)This set is literally Soulless. You like Kavu? Here kavu but worse! You like Eldrazi? Here eldrazi but worse!
>>95966803 (OP)>Favorite Eldrazi card? There is only one correct answer.
If you disagree, change your mind or I will change it for you.
>>95966803 (OP)When is Wotc going to make a Procasual Vestige?
>TQ
You thought about casting this spell. I thought (k)not
>>95967092She wants another Eldrazi winter so that Spring can be as Flourishing as possible.
>>95966997You have to understand this meta has lead to some bullshit, how we can fix it? With BIGGER bullshit. It's the only way.
>>95966803 (OP)So the Eldrazi came from the future?
Please let there be a fucking FTK with warp.
Since Eldrazi are back, they will fucking nickel and dime all the Pioneer Eldrazi that are missing from "Arena Pioneer". Buy all these for this much you slop eating f2p shithead.
Hoping for more colored/devoid commanders a la Herigast in the future. An izzet eldrazi would be a dream come true
>>95967146But the past is fluid. There are many ways to reach the present.
Looking backward, we see โฆ possibility.
Allow me to quote the greats:
The usual fallacy is that, in every universe, many futures splay outward from any given moment. But in some universes, determinism runs backward: given a universe's state S at some time T, there are multiple previous states that may have resulted in S. In some universes, all possible pasts funnel toward a single fixed ending, ฮฉ.
>>95967076If we're not counting the titans then sure, but I'd say I like original ulamog better.
>>95966997Ackshually its going to be some innocuous rare that people will gloss over thats going to do that. Tezz is just going to be Ugin 2 2.0 where wotc expects it to break formats with its MH3 power level and be forgotten instead
how is this thing still not on arena
>>95967239arena is a joke client that is not mtg
>>95967228You mean when they unban artifact lands too so that you can affinity him up to 6 million loyalty?
>>95967228>some innocuous rareNah, it'll be an uncommon again.
>>95967092Kavu but humanoid and fully sapient creatures.
Eldrazi but just copying the Ulamog progeny instead of creating a brand new style...
https://web.archive.org/web/20170803020909/http://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/savor-flavor/three-brood-lineages-2010-04-28
Sure, they could make one good thing by saying that Ulamog didn't die by channel fireball friendship power... But I don't believe they would dare.
>>95967178>>95967239some of these might be in the bonus sheet, not exactly a high probability but it's there
>>95967241yeah pioneer on arena fucking sucks, you can't do anything creative with the restricted card pool
>>95967178>5/5 haste beater for 5not playable lmao
>>95967249bfz was the start of all the current cancer in the story
it'd be better if they just retconned most of the set honestly
>>95967253The bonus sheet is confirmed to be lands.
>>95967258Hexproof, if opponent has only one card.
>>95967249>Eldrazi but just copying the Ulamog progeny instead of creating a brand new style...But there's not supposed to be any other Eldrazi Titans, retard.
I didnt think they will had the balls to bring Eldrazi back after MH3 and fucking Cutter... I'm now afraid of what they will do with the format even after bans.
>>95967146I guess. The only real plot point of EOE yet to be revealed in full is that the set seems to take place in both the past and the future at the same time.
>>95967303You mean Ward-Discard 1 card.
>>95967253>yeah pioneer on arena fucking sucksI don't understand why there wasn't a shitstorm when wizard just decided to rename the format into Pioneer despite not having all the Pioneer cards.
>>95967253I'm having fun in Pioneer i'm playing Hammer Time and i like the deck.
i hated eldrazi and now we will have to face a set with eldrazis in space, kill me please.
>>95967384Arena players have been conditioned to accept compromises and it's not like explorer had a big playerbase to begin with.
>>95967426But if we kill you now, you won't get to enjoy these :))))))
>>95967341But the eldrazi brood is only active in the plane their titan are, retard
You understand how retard having eldrazi in this set is?
>>95967445I play on Arena. We will get Core Set 2025.
>>95967445>Spongebob>Sonic>This shit
This picture sold me on premodern. This is the type of magic I yearn for. Iโm all in on this format.
>>95967493I cast lightning bolt on your Tarmogoyf
>>95967481Spongebob is just alt art, it's fine.
I crafted monstrous rage on arena today (figured it's a freeroll) and got this notification.
I own a set of cutters, but I wonder if you would see that as well.
>>95967447...what the fuck are you on? That's just not true. The Eldrazi Broods remained active on Zendikar after the two titans died.
Crazy that a bunch of favela monkeys are the ones who are going to save MTG.
>>95967523No, they didn't, they were basically brainless and inactive... That is why by Zendikar 3 there were none Eldrazi. Even in battle for Zendikar we only had 1 or 2 Emrakul drone and they were said to be inactive.
>>95967493unlike you I enjoy midrange, so no premodern for me.
>>95967521LMAO. This kikes can't even hide their own intentions better.
>>95967550Bruh they've been screaming "BAN MONSTROUS BUT NOT CUTTER WHICH IS WEAK ACTUALLY" on this very general all fucking month. They may as well have just came out and openly said that's what they were going to do.
>>95967540They kept going but without their Titans to replenish them they died off, that's why they vanished after the titans went away. Because Zendikar's natives (and the plane itself) were all doing their damndest to kill the fuck out of them.
And we don't even know if this card is actually from the time period EoE is happening in. It could be depicting an event from the previously mentioned Eldrazi-Fomori war, like this card which depicts a faerie corrupted by the Eldrazi in a plane they destroyed previously, as I'm pretty sure neither Zendikar nor Innistrad have any.
>>95967560i mean they're probably banning both, there's no need to sperg out.
>>95967570They're not banning cori.
>>95967582Then why even do bans? That card is broken.
>>95967602To pretend they did something so they can justify their exorbitant salaries while the country is burning down, dummy. The same as all richers.
>>95967521That warning has existed for months, it's just a bug.
>>95967537It literally is though?
>>95967575I will not kill myself. Your turn.
>>95967639No I mean it's not fine, fuckhead.

give me more slop wotc
I haven't bought other shit since original theros but I'll buy another five boxes if you put jack garland or Tiz in the game
>>95967568Anon... The eldrazi drones are literally the minor manifestations of the Eldrazi Titans, that is why when they are sealed or killed the drones stop being a nuisance.
Also using MH continuity? You know that Kaldra was mostly destroyed in Mirrodin, right? But "Kaldra but living weapon!". Also they don't say anything about "flashback action" in the planeswalker guide.
Stop sucking WotC withered di*k
what I wanted was eldrazi phyrexians
killing the titans was with the power of friendship was one of the worst things they ever did in the story I'm completely fine if they just delete that plot point from existence
>>95967684>dude product I like but BRAND I LIKE is slapped on there!!!!!!?!??!?! What's wrong with it?I just took a fat shit in a bag and put a Spongebob sticker on the bag. My asking rate is about 200$ a bag. Take it or leave it.
Pre-orders for my shit bag with Darth Vader stick on it will be going up next month.
>>95967754>that is why when they are sealed or killed the drones stop being a nuisance.NTA, but they didn't they keep spawning and thrash Zendikar while Nahiri was sleeping? I thought that was what happened, she woke up after her nap, saw the plane on fire and the broods everywhere and ran off to get Snorin' Knockov's help and then the plot happened.
>>95967793>Product I likeCorrect
>Brand I likeCorrect
>Literal bag of shittry harder, maybe a food analogy is more your speed
>>95967769Nah this whole Fomori were ancient advanced race of multiplanar bullshiters is probably one of the worst plot ever.
Just let the Fomori be inhabitants of Ir who protect an Island full with mana potential. If they wanted to make a criptic race full of ancient artifacts then they should have used the Onakke ogres.
>>95967822At this point "how completely different from the last Tezz can we make him" has to be some kind of joke among the illustrators
>>95967805Original zendikar happens after nissa is a retard and frees them, bfz is canonically like...3 months? after rise of eldrazi
they use the power of friendship to kill them, int he most convoluted bullshit asspull ever, and Ugin tells them they're retards and there will be consequences (there have been no consequences)
emmy got pulled into innistrad by nahiri and then shut herself in the moon because innistrad "wasn't ready"
I don't think they were in zen3 but I didn't read that because modern lore is a joke
>>95967805When Nahiri woke up the seal was wavering. She looked for Sorin and Ugin to reinforce the seal. That was happening before Rise of the Eldrazi: Jace&Chandra&Sarkhan went to one of the Seals and opened it slightly, then Nissa went with Sorin to another one and she broke the thing thus freeing the Titans.
>Eldrazi returned before powerful white cards
JOTC already admitting there are only 4 colors now.
>>95967822I think they threw away the onakke the exact instant they had weismann literally throw away the chain veil
>>95967835To make clear. Nahiri went looking for Sorin. Sorin trapped her in the helvault and then went to Zendikar with Ugin to fix the thing.
Later on, in modern times, J&C&S triggered a first fail safe seal who made the titans able to manifest their brood and later on Nissa went full retard/primate mode and destroyed the seal who imprisoned the Titans.
>>95967840Nah, Colorless is number 5 KEK
>>95967856She didn't do anything with Ugin, he was stuck in death jail. Half the reason she hates planeswalkers is sorin trapped her and ugin ignored her call (he was dead but, you know).
>>95967864Oh, true, she resealed the Eldrazi alone before trying to find Sorin and having a women moment.

Come back to Premodern, /tg/.
Come back home...
>>95967912Anon... All that shit will probably be ported to arena sooner or later.
>>95967948not the stuff with IP from rival online card games nope
they're going to have a not-spiderman not-marvel release on Arena with in-universe characters for every card
>>95967946Come back to the favela...

>>>95966533>>>95967931Fucking retards.
This is why the entire board laughs at Magic the Gathering.
The premodern spammer is right.
>>95967980HE DID IT AGAIN!

>>95967445>>95967481>>95967537>>95967575>>95967793You little bitch niggers don't even know how great it was. Fleer magic is here again.
>>95967546There is midrange in premodern. Some examples are the Deadguy Ale and Machine Head decks. Deadguy Ale in particular is a fairly low cost deck if you're buying the cards for it. Pic related is one of the more expensive versions you can find online if you ignore the two guys who go crazy and put mox diamond in everything yet still don't make into the top 8 at the event. You could obviously drop the deck's price down to $90 if you removed the null rod from the sideboard and replaced it with a cheaper option. Of course a viable midrange deck if possible in other color combinations if you want to be creative with it.
>>95967946Oh hey there pal...
>>95967912>he plays arena where Final Fagasy is already in the game
Hi, /mtg/
Why are so many Boros Commanders White Women?
>>95968615>WomenIf only they were that...
>>95967546>>95968555Speaking of cheap midrange, here's another viable premodern Midrange deck. The Rock. Using newer printings of some of the cards, you can get the deck for under $100.
>>95968576Based tog poster.
>>95968653Why are so many decks now running 1-2 phyrexian furnace in the main?
The card's price went up literally to the moon over the last month compared to 6 months ago.
>>95968667I don't think I'd say 50 cents to 2.50 is "to the moon"
>>95968667It's just those decks. With midrange decks like that you don't have the option to just counter remove or anything like that so it can be choice if you come against reanimator. And if you're not against anything in the graveyard, you can just pop it for a draw.
Furnace has started going back down recently though. The Deadguy Ale deck doesn't run it in main. Most decks don't. Often decks will run Tormod's crypt instead in the sideboard. Black can run planar void or withered wretch instead as well so it's not necessary to go with furnace as black.
The price increase since last year is likely due to more people playing pre-modern than before. And of course, the old expansions are generally long out of print and might not get a List reprint. Furnace itself has not been reprinted unlike Tormod's crypt so it is really a more expensive option. You use it if your deck would have an advantage using it or if you want to avoid redirect type effects. Otherwise, Tormod's Crypt in the sideboard is generally the better option.
>>95966803 (OP)So Warp is like a merging of Evoke and Adventure?
>>95968979I like this girl.
>>95968727It went from 3โฌ to fucking 11โฌ on cardmarket, dude.
>>95968735You even see it on Sligh now. They're running 1 Phyrexian furnace on main.
It's ridiculous.
>>95966803 (OP)lol warp is flashforward instead of flashback
busted mechanic
>>95969118>It went from 3โฌ to fucking 11โฌ on cardmarket, dude.try using a real currency
>>95969118also even then it's "only" 6 euros
>>95969190Are prices really that different in the US vs how they are in the EU?
>>95969217It's roughly 2-3 times as expensive in euros than it is in dollars
>>95969223Is there any particular reason for this? I thought more people would be playing old card formats in the US rather than on EU.
>>95969262Did you think people were joking when they said it's just third worlders playing premodern.
>>95969270America is a third-world country now?
>>95966803 (OP)>WARPSo it comes down, does whatevet non-hasted thing it can do, then leaves at the end step? And you can cast it from exile for 6 later?
>>95966803 (OP)>TQ>Favorite Eldrazi card?ALL IS DUST for a one-sided removal unless it's a mirror match
>>95969275Since Trump? Yes. USA! USA!
>>95969285yea
main gimmick is probably to crew the space stations
>>95969338I'm also not talking about premodern. America has a pretty big community that only Old School too right?
>>95969362The only one I'm aware of is a tiny contingent of people playing '93-'94 and I haven't heard much of them in several years.
Probably someone in the country, at least.
>>95968979Ok got my card down. 1, 2, 3, reveal!
space stations are garbage vehicles/battles/mounts
warp is garbage evoke/adventure
trash set is trash set

>>95969436I'm curious as to how you get they're battles in your shitposting brain.

I do. And I miss it.
If you continue to eat up this slop, you're going to get a Naruto expansion any day now. Screencap this post.
>>95969453>I'm curious as to how you get they're battles in your shitposting brain.A battle - siege says:
>You cast this as a sorcery and get ETB trigger>You can tap your creatures to attack it, opponent can defend, and once you deal enough power to match its defense, you unlock its back which can be a creature with abilities or whtaeverAn artifact - spacecraft says:
>You cast this as a sorcery and get ETB trigger>You can tap your creatures to add charge counters without opponent being able to block, and once you match its station value, you unlock it becoming a creature with abilities. The only differences are that your opponent can't block for it and your creatures all have 'haste'. The balance difference is that stations look like they're fucking garbage ETB triggers and creature value compared to battles.
Most battles are costed on-rate for their ETB triggers compared to sorceries, and the defense is just all pure upside.
Invasion of Mercadia is the exact same as Tormenting Voice. Its one of like 10 copies of the spell with different upsides, like bitter dispute, witch's mark, highway robbery, etc. The upside of Mercadia is that the battle can flip for 4 to become a mediocre spellshaper (3/3 with ability to pay 3, tap, discard, make 2x 1/1 tokens and give your team +1/+0 and haste)
What does a spacecraft give?
FOUR mana for a draw 2 cards discard a card, an effect that normally costs two mana
Station for EIGHT FUCKING POWER to get a 4/4 flying
JESUS CHRIST IS FUCKING SHIT
BATTLES, BUT BAD

also the eldrazi deserve to have a fucking decent story since they got shit on hard over a decade ago and we haven't seen them since (in canon)
>>95969657>I hope wotc is smart enough to remove random people from their surveys because they said they liked a thingWell wotc is in general a fucking retarded company but I meant what I said, put chaos man or bravely or something and I'll go to the troth like a good little piggy.
Could easily do another set or two on spinoffs and shit they missed the first time
>>95966803 (OP)>TQThis one because it shows Emrakul fucking dead.
>>95969639It has been 9 years since they introduced vehicles. And in those 9 years they haven't figured out that vehicles are utterly unplayable in Limited. Forget Smuggler's Copter or whatever exception there is to that statement they haven't figured out that similarly, equipment was bad - but vehicles are so much worse. There are two unsolved problems here.
Like, really think about that. There's really only two possibilities that lead to that situation: either they don't test Limited or they're testing Limited but they're too incompetent to actually determine what is or isn't playable. Esika's Chariot and Magitek Armor crew themselves - that is basically what every vehicle needs to be playable and they printed maybe one of those ever three years.
"Vehicles suck" - this two-word problem is something Wizards either does not know or cannot solve. It's insane. And for that matter the person you are replying to is too fucking retarded to understand anything but credit for spoonfeeding the retard even if we all know they will still be retarded tomorrow.

>>95969687>Looting is the same as rummagingThe going rate for "draw 2 cards, discard a card, and have another significant upside on top of that" is 2 mana in standard for blue uncommons

>>95969466Humorously, every single card nowadays is designed by a troon. Not even meming. The entire staff at JotC is troons, jews, young sois (soon to be troons) and women (but not in any position that makes decisions). Troons know exactly what they are. That's why every depiction of them in any media is a criminal psychopath. They're proud of this and think this is a good thing. It's why the Tiefling cancer became insufferable. Troons literally want to play actual demons.

As soon as he entered the company like a foreign body, we got the Weatherlight saga and the affirmative action block (Mirage) literally complete with a card named "Reparations". As soon as he got put in charge for some unfathomable reason (mossad), we got mirrodin, kamigawa and unglued. If you look back at the history of the game, you can literally see nosewater taking fat shits on it at various times. Now is the worst of all.

>>95969702Eldrazi were never cool. I remember thinking Emrakul was bullshit when it first came out.
Why do people hate UB so much? I genuinely ask because it feels like the shark's been well jumped at this point. I stopped caring about main Magic after Phyrexia led to a wet fart finale and it seems like since then the sets even for mainline have varied from ok to dogshit. I get that it's not thematic for stuff like AssCreed to be in Magic but I don't think anyone's rising up to tell me that Wacky Races is more fitting just because it uses Magic's cast of characters. Things have been all over the place with mainline sets and I feel like it's hard to take the setting as seriously anymore.
>>95969706You don't understand. The bluish player is playing solitaire. We call that "interaction" because they other player can't play the game. This is like if you play smokestacks bullshit and delete all your opponents permanents and make them discard everything. This is "interaction" because it turns the game into solitaire.

>>95969733Wizard's willingness to milk eldrazi for easy bucks but lack of balls to reprint annihilator cards is a joke. Even MH3 only had annihilator 1/2 on 7/8 drops and ulamog, that's it.
Its this stupid fucking pandering to retards with 'muh feels' where you lose a game 'harder'. I mean holy fucking shit if a 15/15 flying is swinging into you, annihilator 6 might as well be flavor text. Its purely a mental hangup people have, losing your permanents when being attacked by a 9/9 or bigger is just a way you're losing the game on top of losing the game, and the fact you 'can' potentially chump block it but survive a turn is just showing it to have another means of evasion via the trigger. If Ulamog's Crusher was a 12/12 trample for 8 and killed you in 2 hits would you be so sad about just fucking dying? But noooo it makes you sacrifice 2 tokens or lands while you try to find a way to kill it
The only mistake of RotE was Dawnglare Invoker
>>95969758It's 1/3 legitimate complaints of not wanting other IPs (though mtg's IP has been in the gutter for over a decade so the point's a bit moot), 1/3 contrarianism, and 1/3 just plain shitposting.

>>95969765Well in the Gundam TCG they're the primary combat units while the pilots can be paired with them to boost their stats and activate certain effects if the tags match up. >>95969972to be fair her dying didn't matter literally at all

>>95969972Bitch are you retarded? Death doesn't mean shit to an Orzhov fucker. Once upon a time it just meant they'd get even more powerful. And Teysa being butthurt about being killed is just bewildering. Assassinations and ghost shenanigans are not just normal for the Orzhov they're normal FOR HER OWN FAMILY. That set was just jews making the nature-lovers out to be the big bad because they're enemies of all living things.
>>95970001that one third of trostani was fucked up though

all so my deck could have the extremely slight advantage of having ONE count it ONE extra minor creature as a blocker and cantrip instead of running a founding the third path for a deterministic same turn kill or having 59/60 identical cards in my deck and a copy of arcavios to win on the spot xdddd
> warp is evoke on steroids
fuggggggg
>>95970904we've seen one warp card and its trash
>pay 4 mana on turn 4 to cheat a 4 mana card onto the battlefield and then be able to later... cast the card you already had in hand>literally zero effect on its own
>>95970833Based Premodern player.
>>95970916Screencapped. See you in 3 months.
>>95970916>we've seen one card and it's bad, therefor the entire mechanic is badIt's just evoke, except you can cast the creature for real after evoking it. It's like if evoking mulldrifter drew you two cards and a mulldrifter.
>>95970916Oh god... Is another "Draft chaff" Scenario...
Seriously /mtgg/ you actually play this?
>>95970951It's another "lightning is a staple of boros energy" scenario.
>>95970936Nobody would ever evoke a card that said
>4 mana>put a 4 mana card from your hand onto the battlefieldall you did was put yourself down -1 card like a retard
Evoking a mulldrifter is divination, a playable effect on its own, except on top of that you can exploit it with flicker effects to cheat it in and get a second ETB
That's the whole point of that chain:
>>95970794>>95970758>>95969639>>95969436A mechanic is only as good as its costed aggressively
we've seen one warp card and its baseline effect does absolutely fucking nothing
>I tap 4 of my 5 swamps and warp my Anticausal Vestige. At the end of my turn, I exile it and put Sheoldred onto the battlefield tapped
>Next turn I get to cast Vestige from exile! VALUE TOWN
>>95970847my dream is for us to get a 10th card type so I can make 10/11 goyfs
>>95970971No one is saying the card is good retard, just that it's pretty likely there will be at least one good card with the ability. There are awful evoke creatures too.
>>95970992>Sheoldredshe's rotating lil bro
>>95970895This is like real Magicโข!
>>95970951>>95970965How many times do you shills need to be told this fucking shit? We KNOW it's YOU posting these dumb as dogshit comments.
>>95970847It will be playable again once they make a Battle worth using
>>95970994And how does this conflict with
>we've seen one warp card and its trashMechanics are only as good as wizards chooses to price them
We've already seen two spacecraft that are both overpriced shit because they overvalue the impact of the mechanic
We've already seen one warp card that's overpriced
Both spoilers included rare cards so we know we can't expect the power ceiling to be much higher
How many mounts did you need to see before you realized saddle was dog shit
>>95970847I do remember right now, yes. You guys should really learn the difference between "playable" and "top tier". Unplayable cards put up 0 results.
>>95971030Did they give up on battles? Don't follow modern mtg but curious I never saw em pop up again
>>95971045Sure I guess so, but then it's pretty pointless to talk about mechanics at all. Storm is awful if every storm card does literal nothing, Sweep is nuts if your Sweep card wins the game.
Main point here is that the mechanic is innocuous enough that they won't intentionally power down every card with the mechanic(cipher), but powerful enough that they really don't even have to over push a card for it to be a standard staple(spacecraft). I'd be surprised if we didn't get some sort of 'Flame-Warp Kav' or a mulldrifter with how much designers love cramming a billion call-backs into every set now, and something like that would probably be pretty good.
>>95971110Yes, they pretend to still support them for later sets but no battle has been printed since march of the machine, not even in supplemental products with fake cards or alchemy jizzle
>>95966803 (OP)If you Warp it and then Flick it, do you still need to sac it at the end of the turn?
>>95971157nope exact same interaction as evoke except
>it sticks around until your end step so you can flicker it at sorcery speed>its shit and evokes not
Iโm so tired of JOTC art direction making every mono white card into an Orzhov creature
>Station 8+
>Station 9+
>Station 7+
>Station 8+
>"Station only as a sorcery"
What the actual fuck were they thinking with this one?

>>95971222Dooes it matter? you want is their ETB, it becoming a creature is either pointless or there will be ways to cheat it.
>>95971221>token Asian on the Asian planeI canโt remember the last time I saw Caucasian skin on white cards after 2015.
Besides Thalia at least. And even then they made her look ugly.
>>95971222wew lad its turn 4 and you played a loot spell, now you have the choice
do you attack your opponent for 4 damage and run into their blockers and trade
or do you tap to station 4/8 of your scanship and have NOTHING left to block on board and completely open yourself to being slapped on the backswing, just so NEXT turn you can once again tap your team down just to get the wonderful wonderful payoff of a 4/4 flying
>>95970163That's actually I think a part of why the FF set has been selling like gangbusters. It fits Magic really well unlike every other UB set besides maybe LotR. It appeals to FF fans and makes some MtG fans interested in FF. Only real bad I hear about the set is that the prices are a gouging nightmare and I'm inclined to agree there. Serialized cards are a mistake, Secret Lairs are a mistake.
>>95971283>NigmourneHow nice of them to include a minority(white)
>>95971303>That's actually I think a part of why the FF set has been selling like gangbustersLOL NO.
Main reasons (Not particular order)
1) Standard Legal
2) Decent power wise set
Being a fantasy set is of no consequences. other wise DD and LOTR sets would have sold as well or even better
>>95969679All of the good vehicles do something beyond simply becoming a creature to attack / defend with. Copter is a constant source of looting (on top of being a low cost 3/3 flyer), Chariot makes two cats, Hearse was a great GY hate tool on top of being a late-game threat, etc.
>>95971323>2) Decent power wise setWhat? Are you serious?
>>95971394Terrra, Vivi, Sephirot, Cloud. Yuna, Buster Sword Its not super meta warping but its not a bad set by any means
>>95971416Of those cards only and i remark ONLY Vivi is seeing play. The rest of cards you mentioned go from Needs rotation to be playable (Yuna) to absolute Meme (Cloud)
The set by any means was a weak ass shit, and that's something everyone knows.
>>95971416>Buster SwordPlease go back to the coomander thread. This card is so laughably ridiculously unplayable in any format where your opponents aren't letting your creatures live to "not be mean."
>>95971471all those are seeing play, you only think of VIVI cause it went by default into the meta current meta nightmare of Izzet Progress
CMV:
drake hatcher is bad in izzet prowess
vivi is bad in izzet prowess
anything with no immediate damage or haste and dies to removal 1:1 and doesn't come online by turn 3 is bad in izzet prowess
If they could kill your vivi or hatcher they could kill your slickshot showoff. If they can't, your slickshot kills them in ONE HIT and it also gets around sorcery speed interaction. But these guys cut all copies of slickshot so they can run drake hatchers lmao. It doesn't even have evasion and can't connect without rage. Hell, some even cutting copies of rage
>>95971490This, a buddy in my playgroup pulled Buster Sword and asked "Hey, should I keep this or sell it?" and upon seeing that our LGS is offering $50.00 cash for them straight up I told him that is the easiest decision ever and you can buy other cards that are actually good.
Any dark horse / late bloomer cards from FIN yet? Note I'm just talking about stuff that has been performing above average, not talking about cost or value or other "investment" shit.
I have had good results with Dark Knight's Greatsword. It isn't 4x in the main type of good, but as a 1 or 2 of it has been putting in work.
>>95971551would be a fun card with deep cavern bat if games lasted longer than 3 turns
>>95971303>the FF set has been selling like gangbustersIt hasn't. If this constantly barraged talking point had ANY validity we wouldn't be seeing the shit we're seeing.
- NOBODY is playing with the cards in any format
- They have to change standard in Nippon to FORCE people to play with FF cards, just like they had to do with Homelands
- Draft is failing and they're trying to change the rules because nobody is even drafting the fucking thing
- Pro tour was clearly a fake event with a choreographed win by a fully dressed up mascot for FF horseshit
This is not what "OMG THE HIGHEST SELLING SET OF ALL TIME!!!!!!!" looks like.
>>95971598>- NOBODY is playing with the cards in any formatNobody care about constructed format anymore, the set sell to the casual commanders players crowd an also to scalpers and other investors. 60 cards constructed players have become a minority, especially in paper.
>>95971314Honestly, he looks like a hapa.
>>95971551Diamond Weapon has been a solid fun-of-one-of
>>95971623Missed the part where nobody is drafting the shit either, did we? I don't believe for one second that market speculator kikes are the only ones buying this shit and the whole game has just turned into a speculative bubble. While true for a lot of our economy. There is no fucking way MTG still has enough of an audience to even make this physically possible. I'm sorry no. This is just yidsney buying its own Captain Marvel tickets all over again.
>>95971623This. Any discussion about POWER LEVEL in FF is ridiculous, this cards are not selling because they are good or bad in Constructed (they are bad) they are selling because all the EDH faggots, the casual retards and the idiotic "fans" would buy them, and Scalpers knowing that are making their business
>>95971650>Missed the part where nobody is drafting the shit either, did we?And you missed the parts when I say you also had all the commander players and casual buying it.
I only support the Purity format, which doesnโt allow any UB cards of any kind.
>>95971714>PurityAnother fake shit without support?
>>95970388Yes, making them wait is indeed hot.

>>95971714We used to have those. They were called Standard and Pioneer.

>>95971841From MH3? I thought that was noncanon what-if. Their corpses actually did fuse?
>WotC is full speed ahead with Commander
>Puts UB which no one wants into Standard
Why are they doing this?
>>95971885best selling set of all time
What would it take for WotC to drop all politically correct shit as every company is abandoning DEI? For fuck sakes, Xbox which is full of all that shit is firing 2000 employees and shutting down multiple studios.
>>95971907If they stopped making money, it'd be gone within the week.
>>95971885Because they are not only evil but also don't care by their stablished player base to the point that they would rather have short term gains from people like FF fans that will buy this set and never waste a penny on this game until the next one in three years. Meanwhile anyone who actually cared for this game already is playing something else.
>>95971885Because standard is for consoomer paypigs, and paypigs DO want UB sets to match their funko pops.
>>95971915Maro's been pretty open about when sets have sold poorly in the past. If he doesn't want to talk about sales numbers, he just doesn't answer. Plus there's an equal amount of proof for any set selling any amount, maybe OG kamigawa was actually the best selling set of all time and every other set has taken a loss.
>>95971907WorC is full of ex-xbox employees, who left before the anti-dei cull.
Hell, they just forced out their entire white male staff from their D&D side. There's literally no one there left that's been there for more than like 5 years. It is a BLOODBATH over on that side.
If Rosewater doesn't start playing up the size of his nose and wear a yarmulke to work, even he might be on the chopping block soon.
>>95971885they're extracting as much money from the game as they can. is it sustainable? no, but it can go on for years possibly more than a decade given the prestige and legacy that mtg has built up over the years
>>95971964It's actually worse than that, all WotC white male staff were forced to genuflect before a trans statue of baphomet, castrate themselves to circumcise their severed penis, and then devour a newborn child as they recite the Torah. Really shocking stuff.
>>95971997I'm not certain about this - 2025 is going to be insane on annual investor reports with a never-before seen spike with FIN and absolutely no one buying Spider-Man and Avatar. There isn't even a speculator market for those.
The best part about playing pauper is knowing that amerimutts donโt know how to, and itโs important to attend paupergeddons, so that you can remind negroes (american'ts) that they canโt have anything good in life. Theyโre allowed to have Cuckmander and Memedern, and Rugpulls. Hey, that's a pretty good grass roots format... Not that a nigger would know HAHA HAHAHAHAHA
>>95970751This is absolutely vital because so many cards now give you tempo when they dead combat damage.
If you concede before the damage step you are literally griefing and should be penalized.

>YOUR GO
>>95972121Like clockwork. What an absolute meme format, you're not even allowed to concede without players throwing tantrums.
>>95971678Except they didn't. And I forgot to add
- JotC deleted the comments section of Gatherer right before the release of """MTG""" Final Fantasy.
>>95971723It's called actual Magic: The Gathering, you kike.
>>95971931Nosewater is the cancer killing the company and lies as often as he breathes.
>>95971918You forgot that dark money funding sources are the norm for entertainment companies now, because states use them as propaganda outlets.
>>95971907So long as one spic breathes at Eglin Air Force Base or one jew inhabits the Earth this stupid fucking 1960s hippie mentality will NEVER die. We will literally have to make a world war over it to make it stop.
>>95972173>the dark money only funds wotc, and not all of the other companies who have dropped the false pretenseskeep your story straight, bud
>>95971919They're not even getting short term gains though. Their quarterly reports are dire as fuck, they keep laying everyone off, Arena is hemorrhaging players and they can't even get anyone to play with their bullshit fake cards anymore. Counterfeiters are likely making more money on these cards than JotC is at this point. And I'm not even joking about that. Counterfeiters are LITERALLY making higher quality cards than the god damned company is now. When you're doing well financially, you don't have to play jewish tricks like artificially limiting supply to make it look like your product is selling out due to demand rather than you just intentionally limiting supply. This is NOT what successful companies do.
>>95971964Same with MTG. All their designers are the same handful of kikes that have been rotting up the place for 20 years or a new batch of trannies every few years. And the tranny thing is not even a joke. Literally look up ANY "creative" working on what passes for MTG these days. If they're not a kike like nosewater, they are 100% guaranteed to be a tranny. The funniest thing is all the trannies are white. There are 0 women and 0 minorities other than kikes on the team at this point. So all their virtue signalling is the same all bourgeois hippie bullshit of do what I say, not what I do at my surgeon's office.
>>95971997No you're wrong. FF killed the game. By end of year this game will be a trainwreck of ruin. And I don't just mean of design, which has been the case for years. Real consequences are coming to this rotten company. By next year I expect them to close the MTG office doors.
>>95972031This isn't even a joke. This is just the reality of that office now. The only white males allowed in the building at this point have she/her pronouns in their twitter bio or are open faggots.
>>95972071Lol keep making shit up and we'll keep dancing on your grave, faggot.
>>95972160>- JotC deleted the comments section of Gatherer right before the release of """MTG""" Final Fantasy. It has been years since gatherer comments didn't work.
>>95972121What are you retarded? Nobody is required to play this game. You can quit any time you want. This isn't an Australian voluntary quarantine camp.
Rosewater is just the fall guy.
>>95972182>other companies who have dropped the false pretensesName one. Every single one of these dying glownigger "comanies" are just federal agencies spreading propaganda now, and despite all of pedowood claiming (lying) to pull back on the DEI bullshit it's literally never been worse. In entertainment, in politics. Nowhere.
>>95972263You said that already, shill.
>>95972252Spider-Man:
- legal nightmare as Marvel's lawyers thought at the last possible moment that Arena digital cards will "compete" with Snap somehow
- WotC has to spend double to now remake all of the digital cards with new art, etc
- almost certainly limits what UB IPs WotC will be willing to work with in the future due to how this shook out
Avatar:
- show / IP that hasn't been relevant in years
- preview card that they want to hype the set up with looks like it has its art taken from an actual still frame of the show, honestly looks like a bad proxy and that is the one "hype" card they want to showcase?
- zero thought given to the design (literal waterbending, earthbending, etc as named mechanics), the last set to hit this on the nose was Assassins' Creed and look how good it did
>>95972272Is that why the game has literally become the very incarnation of what he's been trying to turn it into for nearly 30 years? Yes, all just coincidence the mainstream continuity is now indestinguishable from his bullshit acorn universe complete with spaceships and robots. NOT constructs. Robots.
>>95972304Death to your family.
>>95972272No. There was a time when he was a great designer and was doing fantastic work. That is what makes current era Rosewater truly disappointing. After the M30 "We will never break the spirit of the reserve list" and then three weeks later announcing M30 it is pointless to listen to him at all.
>>95972314He was never good. He was just jewish. Yet another nepo hire in a 2,000 year long history of nepo hires. And he killed the fucking game dead.
>>95972322Strongly disagree. In the Tempest-Invasion-Odyssey era he was good. It has been a long-ass time since then, though.
>>95972314Btw can you name something actually good he's ever done? Because you shills keep saying this bullshit, but nobody can ever point to anything, whereas EVERYONE can submit the laundry list of his fuckups, several of which have been absolutely devastating blows to the game such as Mirrodin or the ocean of clownpiss that is the acorn universe.

Yes and if you read the what you linked link they also said it has been years since they didn't work. Them removing them is more of a proof they expect new people to use the gatherer and don't want them to see a broken comments section because until now they were happy to let them disabled for 10 years without doing anything.
This is what UB has done to this game. Just look at this thread is a shitshow of 0 discussion about Magic: The Gathering card game. No decks, no cards just a completely pandemonium of shit flinging.
>>95969797>nosewaterHe wasn't in charge, but he probably was the one who came up with it given that most of the sets with the gamebreaking nonsense came when he was in charge.

If you wanted to be as big of a stupid asshole as you're being you could've just said "Um, Magic: The Gathering?"
>>95972391This thread is full of schizo not caring about reality and inventing things to get mad about even if wotc already give people enough reason to shit on them. So that settles it then. Even the faggots trying to come to the filthy kike's defense can't name a single thing good he's done for the company in THREE FUCKING DECADES. >B-b-but UrzaShut up.
- His incessant lying to the player base, promising one thing, then delivering another
- UB horseshit, which killed the game dead, then lying about it being the most profitable thing the game has ever done
Those are just off the top of my head. I'm sure there are dozens more specific examples that can be pointed to.

>>95972168This. Itโs basically the already established formats (not alchemy) but without using UB. Only pure decks for me.

The un-sets have ALWAYS been flops, even with the land scam they tried. Nosewater has repeatedly lamented this, yet they keep returning to that bullshit like a dog to vomit and now they're turning the game into it, despite it being a monumental failure every time it's been tried. Vehicles are hated. Hat sets are hated. UB shit is hated. Alchemy is hated. Why does this fucking company keep doing shit that the majority of players DESPISE and refuse to stop?
Largely, because of mark rosewater.
why you even come here to discuss about something you clearly hate?

>>95972544>>95972562Iโm just tired of his eternal white-bashing by saying every strong white card is a break, mistake, or shouldnโt be printed, while telling players that efficient white removal is a TALL ASK.
Having someone like that having ANY kind of creative control over a game like Magic and having an open blatant hatred for one singled out color is horrifically detrimental to the health of the game.
Name a single good wotc designer. You cannot.
>>95972626I'm tired of these dumb fuckers not even understanding the game to begin with. We can't have lucky charms anymore (despite them being in the game since fucking Alpha) because "Um sorry sweaty, life gain is only for white" Who the fuck made that rule up? Certainly not Richard Garfield. But the worst part is the total nonsense that's been going on in the color pie in the past year. Green cards that produce blue/white detectives that literally depict a chalk outline, which should be white obviously but they made green...because okay?, red card draw, blue burn (which is original to the game, but widely considered a mistake), blue aggro, red sharks????, multiple inexplicable white druids in New Capenna, and that's not including all the other stupid decisions like half a fucking set being "boosterfun" bullshit, most of it with objectionable, HIDEOUS art.

>>95972730Blue has always been allowed to do everything, breaking the color pie over its fucking knee. Green can't have a 1/1 flyer...because, okay? But blue can have literally anything any other color can have, but cheaper, faster and stronger. This is the original cancer that killed the game from within. And I've explained it before. Psychopathy and wealth tend to be comorbidities. JotC being terrible at math and trying to protect their own class have a strict policy of only doing whatever the richest faggots want. That's why the Reserved List exists, despite everyone hating it. That's why blue has been permitted to get totally out of control, despite everyone but rich retards hating it. That's why aggrocancer is off the charts, despite everyone hating it. Blue-Spike-Psychopath. These are all synonyms. And JotC sacrificed their entire customer base to feed these spoiled investor retards. This is the original source of all the cancer that has metastasized into the stage what are we up to 11 now? And every single retarded decision made in the past 15 years can be traced DIRECTLY to these "players". All the catastrophic decisions made in the past year are the chickens coming home to roost: what you're seeing is JotC flailing like maniacs to try to save the company they let rich "players" set on fire for 30 years. But it's too late at this point I think.
>>95972765Arena is not a real game. It forces you to lose 50% of matches. Cheating has no place in MTG. Anyone that thinks it does doesn't deserve to be a part of it.

>>95972802It IS too late. The last straw for me was letting UB become standard legal. That right there sacrifices any semblance of fantasy immersion for the sake of investor bro shekels. How a company can go from Aether and swords and sorcery to fuckin Sephiroth vs Spider-Man is just baffling and sounds like a SNL skit. Iโd rather lose every game with Magicverse cards than win with any Jewniverse Goyond cards.
>>95972031Hardy har, but I'm not joking. They even made the nobody that used to do Unearthed Arcana interviews leave.
The big rosewater equivalent names like Perkins and Crawford they allowed to "retire early" even though they literally went to work at Daggerheart like two weeks later. Everyone else not DEI they curtly and unceremoniously laid off.
They even cut ties with all their settings' writers except Ed Greenwood, who they literally can't because his contract has them by the balls, sorry those are in a medical waste bin somewhere, shorthairs. And even him, though they by contract have to give him 2 books in his setting a year, they achieved it by splitting one setting splat into a two-book set, and Forgotten Realms is no longer the default setting of 5e anymore, no traces at all in the PHB and the example setting included with the DMG was Greyhawk, which they own in its entirely as part of buying TSR and the author can't object because he died in 2008 and even his litigious eldest son is now pushing up daisies.
Everyone else they laid off. That side of the company is only minorities they hired for Radiant Citadel and Women and "women" they literally hired off twitter (employee's own admission in an interview) for Frostmaiden.
Meanwhile they have 48 positions open just on LinkedIn, and are opening an entirely new studio specifically for videogame publishing, headed by the trans director of the infamous flop Dragon Age Veilguard.
Why would you lay off experienced employees with decades of loyalty and no associated PR kerfuffles at the same time as a mass hiring event? Why would you hire leadership from the former leadership of a failed product? Simple, it's not business sense, it's a politically motivated culling.

WotC puts "Two guaranteed Legendaries inside!" on the back of their new player bundle for Final Fantasy.
Above this claim is an image of the Sephiroth and Lightning cards.
New players buy the product expecting to get exactly Sephiroth and Lightning, the aforementioned and pictured guaranteed Legendaries.
New players soon discover that said two "Guaranteed legendaries" are actually just any two from the set,and both are heavily seeded toward the Uncommon legends therein.
Smooth, WotC. Real smooth.

>>95973516It'a about getting unwinnable hands due to fucked mana.
It does its best to guarantee an equal number of land and spells.
NOT lands that can pay the right colors for spells in your hand.
NOT spells cheap enough to play with those number of lands
NOT a statistically appropriate number of lands based on how you've weighted your deck, if you need a lot of lands or a lot of gas.
When it draws two hands and automatically picks one, it will regularly chuck the one a human player would have wanted, in favor of one that technically better fits the rules it's supposed to be optimizing for.
Between a hand that's
>two red five drops, a green seven drop game ender, a combat trick, and three blue taplands.and
>Aether Vial, Three Visits, Captain Lannery, a forest and 2 mountains, and Inventor's Fairit will pick the former because it's more "balanced."
The only way to avoid the problem is to have a monocolor deck with a low curve that wants a balanced number of lands to spells in its opening hand.
