Ogre kingdoms. Like beastmen, they aren't particularly popular or played in AoS, and to me seem like they'd be the most distinct playstyle vs the other legacy factions. Skaven or Daemons would also be a decent one, since they have the most cucked rules imo.

Idk. I feel like anyone who wanted them already had ample time to get them. Updated or not. My main worry with vampire counts getting back is that only von cunts get a focus, and the rest of the blood lines getting stuck in the cuck corner.

Chaos Dwarfs, Ogres or Daemons

Chaos Dwarfs have always been my favorite faction however i prefer the oldschool look so i fear if they bring them back they wont be something i would enjoy. Atleast i can use the rules and print the old minis or rely on the community to make oldschool prints for them, i use them myself and they're amazing.

I'll post only the most interesting lore of them in that case and keep it brief. Unfortunately I haven't formatted this lore into a neat pdf yet. Here is the gist of their story as a whole.

Reminder that the End Times happend and Warhammer Fantasy was discontinued do to extremely poor sales. A single Space Marine Tactical Squad in 40k sold more than all of the Fantasy range. Cathay was designed as a low barrier to entry army where you don't need to paint multiple dozens of miniatures just to get a game going. Plus, they are all new AoS quality sculps where everyone else is +20 years old.

TOW is a prequel game. GW doesn't have to create another End Times event if they decide to drop all support for Fantasy again do to poor sales. In fact, you should be thanking the Cathay tourists for supporting the hobby, lest it be discontinued again.

Fyreslayers and KO go hard in the last two of these aspects respectively. They are more one note, but it's a case of going from 3 design cues to 1, not 15 to 2 or whatever this post is trying to present it as.

The DoK only use 3 Fantasy kits, everything else was made for AoS.
I could see GW giving the DoK their own versions of Witch Elves, Shrines and Doomfire Warlock, and then taking the 8th ed sculpts and bridging them back to TOW.

Actually having similar considerations. Not having ‘oops all cavalry’ armies across the table means WE can much better evade. Also, with the changes to how troops at 25% of their starting unit strength are now worth 50% of their points, our missile troops can plunk off the last few wounds off a block (or even a monster) and net a lot of points.

a bit bothered by the change to poison, but out of all the armies that were impacted, WE actually have the BS to make their shots hit normally, so an extra +2 to wound on some of their shots will still help out. not ideal, but not nearly as ruinous as it would be for goblins or tomb kings.

Post errata you can only make supporting attacks if a model is within it's movement range of the enemy unit. The 2nd rank can make supporting attacks as long as the unit hasn't charged and spears now mean the 3rd rank can make attacks.
Since Clanrats have M5, that means that 7 models to either side of the models in in base contact of the enemy unit can make supporting attacks (CR are on 20x20 bases, 5" is 127mm so 6 models on each side are wholly within 5" and the 7th is just on the edge).
So if a unit of 60 Clanrats with spears was in 3 ranks of 20, and came was charged by a unit with 20 models in it, that was in 2 ranks of 10, all 60 Clanrats would be able to attack the enemy unit.

Hunters are very rarely good characters so I wouldn't recommend the current spearhead, but if you can get the previous one for AoS it's a pretty good deal IIRC. Tyrant, scraplauncher/ironblaster, 2 mournfangs and 4 leadbelchers and 6 bulls.

You are neglecting that outside of pitched battles with no objectives outside ‘kill the other guys’, infantry are what can hold objectives and claim victory. This is intentional, because if only killing matters, than the meta leans entirely towards the most Killy, which is why tOW has been dominated by dragons, heavy cav, magic, and generally anything extremely durable. No incentive to field 1w t3/4 troops otherwise.
