Builds pretty simple. Sticking with my usual go to of drop in so Jumpers getting a bit of a unknowing charisma boost even if it probably won't be relevant. And a fancy new boat! The titanic was so nice he'd ride it twice. Though the crew and passengers might get a bit of a scare one night when Jumper obliterates the oncoming iceberg with a magical laser. He's not going to try and hide that admittedly. Nor will he explain. It'll be one of those stories that get told to be tall tales. Let that be something the lovebirds see out of the corner of there eye.

Pretty much anything that appears in either Mother 1 or Mother 2. Custom PSI will also be an option (as long as it's in line with power of PSI powers demonstrated in canon. As well as Magicant (as the ability to make and maintain psychic worlds, also probably implied to correlate to one's imagination so it combos well with OMORI Faraway's Dreamer perk.) I'll also probably add a tidbit that Jumper can unlock new powers slowly over time, especially post-jump, via Mother 3 esque PSI fevers. So that way PSI isn't necessarily reliant on what you purchase, what you purchase is just explicitly Jump-chan backed fiat and will be available for you to utilize during the Jump no matter what.

Maybe but it was a single supernatural act at sea in the dead of night. A flashy as hell supernatural act but if Jumper acts like it didn't really happen and doesn't elaborate before going back to his usual routine there might be a good chance no one believes whoever saw it. Though a bit of media or becoming a urban legend could be fun...and I suppose the first class passengers who might see would have a good few resource.

I push open the door to my workplace and step inside, taking a sip from my hot chocolate as I do. An extra bit of shove forces the door open wider and holds it there just long enough for my wife to slip in behind me, a pasty quickly disappearing into her own mouth. A random secretary sitting at the counter sees us, frowns slightly, and then goes back to her own work

Artoria steps past me, placing one hand on the front counter and smiling at the secretary as I move towards the elevator and press the call button. I don't quite catch what she says, but the dull smile on the secretaries face is familiar. She nods happily and then goes back about her day as Artoria peels away and back to me. Upstairs, The Bitch catches sight of us as we enter the room and starts moving towards us.

"Mister Dugan, how lovely for you to join us." that bitch chirps out as she makes a show of checking her watch. "A full two hours late."

I scratch my neck awkwardly, but once more Artoria steps forwards.

"That's my fault. Something happened that caused a delay."

"And what might that have been?"

"I had to mind control everyone we came across, you see. We're only allowed to do it once a month, so one must always make sure to do in a maximally efficient way."

The same blank look appears on her face as on all women's, before the faint smile comes back. Almost unnoticeably, a pause ripples through the office, workers pausing for a moment before returning to normal. That Bitch shakes off the readjustment before continuing her rant.

My turn. As accommodating as she is, we only control everyone on this floor. "To start with, please redistribute everything we're currently working on. As you do so, Artoria will go to the other floors and explain our new personal situation to everyone." My former manager and current slave nods cheerfully. Obedience is happiness - surely, people will be happy once Artoria controls them? The thought process of someone who can barely think about what you're talking about is quite interesting. Lots of jumps of logic. "In the meantime, however, please stip. You've been a very poor manager and I want to take it out on your body."

Is there any reason for not getting more than two arms? You can parry/grab/block and punch at the same time, you can hold a two handed sword while also carrying a magical staff, you can hug your waifu while also changing the TV channel...

Fair! You can still get the strength of a mini boss for only 100 CP, the strength of King Dedede for 200 CP, and the strength of Dynablade for only 400 CP. Personally, I went with Dynablade Strength so as to allow Chara to take on high power settings relatively easily early on without him being too overpowered.
It's also worth mentioning that the perk only does high power output. It still states you can be bested by foes of greater skill (think Galactic Knight in universe vs Meta Knight or Kirby) or through tactics. So while raw power output is substantially boosted, you still need to apply your own skills and power with it.

You know its a bit odd. Usually, I grab as much magic as I can but elder scrolls magic in a lot of aspects doesn't really line up with Jumpers morales. So no necromancy or enchanting sadly. I think he's going to join the mages guild just to catch up on how magics progressed since ESO times. See how far he can get in its hierarchy before he gets either bored or agitated enough at the red tap to stop. Probably at least wizard rank.
Make a research subject of the dwemer a bit if only for there semi uniqueness. Jumper doesn't really deal with tech much but they could be a exception and with a lack of other potential magical subjects to draw his current interest they'd be a decent one. Because him meddling with the heart of lorkhan would be bad for everybody. He's wise enough to know this at least

I figured it was appropriate. You don't get the chance to just take some options and disregard CP entirely too often so I went for it even though it's clearly weaker than making a proper build. Hell, even just making a proper build that would add up to 1000 and then there'd be freebies on top.

I've already got a JRPG-style game system so a single point of XP doesn't count for much, but if I turn it around and interpret that the perk allows me to use my XP to improve myself as WoD-style character with prices from the storyteller system it's fucking great.

So basically there's like a dozen different kinds of summoning which all work different, tapping lands for mana is something that either everyone does or no one does or is a secret technique that only a few people can do, only planeswalkers can travel to other planes unless you find a way to do it without being one or make a machine to do it or are just able to do it with no explanation. Battles are either planeswalkers fighting each other or are just regular wars or don't have an actual explanation

The lore changes extremely often, so just pick and choose whatever mechanics you want to be canon

The magic article on the MTG wiki? I'm working on an Urza's Block jump right now, and the truth is that the game is a very poor representation. It's almost entirely low level fantasy stuff. Only like one person ever has actually done the "summon copies of legendary heroes" thing, or even summoning intelligent humanoids. And a lot of the divination implied by card drawing doesn't seem to exist or is extremely vague to the point of almost unusable. The idea of lands is barely there. As long as you've ever seen a mountain before, you're good to go casting red magic, with none of this stuff about waiting for more mana or having to visit multiple mountains.

What does it mean for a companion slot to be shared exactly? It says the power will be divided up and allotted accordingly but what would that look like.
Say for example, I took the OMORI headspace group companion. If I imported them as one character, then purchased white magic for them, would it instantly go to Hero since he's the most fitting character of the group or would they all get lesser degrees of white magic that take longer to master? Or could it be either or?

Generally, not much. Just that two or however many people only count as one person collectively towards the limit of how many you can have active at once.

Companions that say powers are shared (as opposed to group companions that say you can either share perks between them or assign perks to only one) are less defined. For skill like white magic, if the group companion says that perks get divided up, then presumably instead of giving X years of experience in white magic, each member of the group gets X/N experience or something. If a power is some discrete and indivisible action, I assume that all of them need to be together to invoke it, or maybe they all get a weaker version if that's possible.

I feel kind of bad taking this because it seems there is an elaborate story here with many twists and turns. Oh well I’ll BS the best I can. The guy who suggested this can tell me how I got things wrong and how bad my build is.

It was a little strange landing here. It reminded me of the last place but at an earlier age. One of rebellion.

I was a Inspector, however not much of one. At least in peoples opinion. I was told to aid Inspector Adamant… as a gofor. I was to get him coffee, take his notes and stay out of his way. When action happened I was to hide or something… if I chose to. Honestly the people in charge really didn’t care if I died.

So I did my job, thankfully Adamant was a cool guy and quickly saw I had some talent in investigation. So I was brought in more directly. I helped to defend him when things got sticky as we unraveled a massive conspiracy and a plot to resurrect a god. We put an end to that. It was a tough days work. Despite Inspector Adamant insisting I get some of the credit, he got all the credit. I was just there apparently.

First time reading through the Mother novelization for research for the Mother 1+2 jump. Definitely gonna include it as an alternate continuity drawback (+0 CP) for the America scenario and the America+Eagleland scenario. It's interesting, to say the least. Way more adult than the source material while also having a far more optimistic ending of Giegue's spirit being at peace and him ascending with Maria to be her child. Quite wholesome. It's well worth a read.

Quick Mage: the Ascension question. How quickly would consensus shifting change the limits of what you can do without Paradox? Say you’re in the MCU when the Avengers fight an alien invasion over NYC and a god is flying around and calling lightning down onto skyscrapers to smite armies. Does the severity Paradox slowly fade over the next couple days or weeks as the media disseminates proof of this throughout the world and people digest and grow to accept the supernatural? Or does it take longer than that? And it doesn’t have to be technically magic that people believe is possible, right? Say you go to Worm. People scoff at the idea of magic, but if you walk around will working and changing reality, people are just going to assume you’re a powerful Parahuman and that won’t trigger paradox, right?

One thing to keep in mind is you have Inheritance 5.

Possibly Jumper doesn't have many followers so far. he has a island that follows him and people on it but they don't really actively follow him actively. Maybe he could settle a few of the gods personally loyal to him in koridai or the observatory though. So this Jump combined with the last have been rather... transformative for Jumpers general identity. His general cultivation focus may be a little narrow but that just means he'll have to go for depth rather then Width in understanding. Think Jumpers gonna stay here for 200 years. Wonder how far along he could get in cultivation in that time. Ideally if he gets decently far I'd like him to start his own group of Nomadic Air element aspected cultivators. Call them the Windwakers. Generally, go around and help the common person and down on their luck cultivators who seem amicable. A fellowship and found family of friends and free spirits. Probably avoid big sect politics in general those are a swamp it seems. Help the MC maybe if he's a decent sort I hear he suffered a lot so maybe he could use a friend.

It was very tempting I admit. The world sized spirit ring but it just wasn't in the budget after everything else was accounted for. Though I do still want to find a way to do something similar in some personal plane potentially in a future jump. For now though I imagine (as much as Jumper wont admit it.) For now Koridais essentially a backwater island relatively speaking even if more developed then it was in CDI. There wouldn't be much resource wise for a cultivator to take interest in. So it should be relatively safe through obscurity of being a island of apparently normal mortals out in the ocean.

Think I might pin him at Mid nascent soul stage by the end of his time there. Making him a full immortal feels like it'd be a bit cheesy given the difficulty. But with some luck I think Silken could make it to Nascent. Strong enough to be respected in the world and apparently the MC made immortal within a human lifetime. And 200 years is a bit longer then that, But as we all know cultivation MCs are the exception.

That was already the main advantage of the wedge shape, only the broad shape limits it heavily in broadside attacks in favor of a relatively minor boost to forward facing attacks, since the wedge shape is already good for forward attacks too.

As I considered minor details like the green-skinned women futilely trying to offer me baubles for my entire chain and the undead army amassing over the horizon, I spared a thought for my cute pigs. One of the pigs, distinctly more showered in oats than the other, started eating noisomely and joyfully, while the other slowly turned his way after scarfing down his meagre oats.

"BROTHER! May I have some oats?" asked the second pig, as my femtomachines swept over the amassing undead. Reverse engineered dominus glyphs and the crackling power of Fabletown royalty swept through the undead, turning them to my side.

"Nnnnno" said the first pig, still engrossed with eating even as the undead started to fight a civil war.

"I am STARVING, brother!" exclaimed the second pig. A witch slowly but surely pushed a comically large mousetrap with a comically small piece of cheese in my general direction. The first pig stared at him slowly and meaningfully. "Brother, your girth is so monumentally grand that together we barely fit in this sty. Stay your avarice and be glad for what you have, BROTHER" spat the first pig, licking his jowls rapidly to not miss a single oat sprayed from his mouth. "You would do well to appreciate what you have, instead of constantly compare yourself to others" while in the background a different witch was constantly trying to curse me, which the White of Mars and Black of Venus together were efficiently converting into buffs instead.

"What are you guys talking about?" asked Hen Wen suddenly, trotting up to the sty. "Oats" both of my pigs announced, right as I called down an orbital satellite energy beam on the Horned King while laser drones chased the witches off beyond the hills. "No, I mean-what was that about Tall Skinny Gods?" she asked. "Well, they bring us oats and sometimes they change the colour of their skins so they're clearly powerful and all-knowing beyond our ken" explained both pigs.

I almost never get surprised. My daughter Miyuki turned out to be Louise’s non Identical Twin in this jump. That caused a number of problems. Louise gained a inferiority complex thanks to her sister being prettier and more successful than her, As she had her magic unlocked she was a big deal and Louise was again the lesser.

Then I was summoned around the same time as Saito. A Jumper with many stacked appearance perks vs Saito. Yeah that didn’t go well for her.

However Miyuki and I worked to try and help Louise first unlocking her powers then a little tweak to her metabolism so she would develop earlier and in a big way.

Saito… Well it took a lot of working with him to get him to man up and be a hero. He didn’t want any of this but I helped him to accept he was here and better to make the best of it.

Through many adventures we helped to save the land. Louise earned the respect she so desperately sought and even Saito became useful, eventually. It took conscious effort on my part not to overshadow everyone else. I was holding back a good amount most of the time, but I really wanted to see the people around me grow as people and conquer their own problems. So in some ways I worked a lot harder than everyone else but in others at times I just seemed to be… there, until I would do something miraculous when it looked like all hope was lost.

I'm an mtg superfan and care a lot about mtg lore, but admittedly I'm a fan of the earlier novels and the actual lore and mechanical interpretation have changed a lot since then, so don't take this at face value:
The game mechanics are an arbitration of a planeswalker duel. Spells can either be literal interpretation (lightning bolt being a lightning bolt) or an emotional interpretation (lightning bolt being a spell cast from the memory of a time where you saw a bigass fucking lightning bolt). This applies to lands as well, being either lands on the plane that you can draw mana from or lands you have a connection with that you can draw mana or memories from. Creatures can be the literal creature printed on the card (human soldier) or a magical interpretation of the creature printed on the card (a mana construct in the shape of a human soldier). Legendary creatures are not summoning that specific character; if you're talking to Jimmy the Special Man and you cast a spell to summon the legendary creature Jimmy the Special Man, you'll have created your own instance of Jimmy separate from the actual Jimmy person.

Generally speaking, you'll have to come up with your own interpretation for how things work. It was always meant to be a mystery to some extent. The planebound magicless mortal cannot comprehend magic, nor Magic, so just approximate. Magic's system can mold itself to whatever other magic system you would prefer, if that makes it easier.

To try to eyeball someone who is probably in a tank PC’s weight division but has much more plot armour, Anduin Wrynn’s paladin barriers have held off entire armies so I’m confident holding paladins, death knights and demon hunters to that standard of generalised elemental protection simply because the Scourge was a major threat to paladins, and because demon hunters turned out to be unironically the real key to holding back the Legion given Illidan somehow ends up keeping Sargeras himself bottled in his Titan jail. I’m less confident giving warriors and knights the same credit given Sylvanas’ defeat of Saurfang goes to show there’s only so far pure warriors can go against even relatively low key shows of magical force (and the approximately equivalent kinetic energy an Endbringer can bring to bear). Or druids given how poorly the night elves fared against mere orcs with demon blood. As for Pandaren Brewmasters I’m…honestly not sure we’ve seen them in action enough to gauge the upper bounds of their durability. They habitually prefer to evade more than facetank things because muh wuxia.

The second hurdle is Behemoth’s omnikinesis kind of being tailor made to fuck over sufficiently conventional durability HARD. Constant radiation sickness, burning and unpredictable lightning strikes are a death sentence for pure martials, and still a bitch for deathknights/paladins/demon hunters given even conventional armies can wear their barriers and supernatural healing down through attrition.

Exactly my thinking as well, moreso than defeating Arthas given the PC actually died during that fight and like, there’s a lotta soul/Death shit going on. Algalon is a monumentally greater threat than most expansion final bosses. He’s an entity created by the Titans to wipe entire planets clean of life, and even if some of his personal abilities are taken as hyperbole they casually demonstrate levels of destruction and physical law-warping only equalled by the Legion. And you can’t really say he doesn’t count just because he’s a superboss since later in Legion’s story, his presence is acknowledged in the form of him apparently having gotten bored and become a pet tamer. The fight with Algalon had to have happened for Azeroth as a setting to persist, so canonically a WoW party fought a creation of the Titans more destructive than their old lawnmower and impressed it enough to have a crisis of conscience.

In my chain, the distinct trait of every Jumper is that the Benefactor unfurls the shape of their entire existence into higher dimensions. Not just their flesh and blood-their mana pool, their history, their very concept. It’s similar to what the tech in The Fine Structure does, but instead of being maintained by devices a “chain” of pure potentiality is attached to the Jumper’s existence like a massive symbiotic umbilical cord-compressing individual Jumper incarnations together like a siphonophore made of souls/soul-analogues.

So I think Jumpers youtube channel is just going to be a whole mess on the surface of everything he takes a passing interest in. Videogame reviews, playthroughs, cooking tutorials, travel vlogs, composed music, a few early drafts of his book series, How to videos for various things. Art. Anything thats taken his interest in the last half a millennia, jumper been around on his chain. But underneath the surface. In the corners of some videos or in the background will be scrambled links that if pieced together lead to pictures and fragments of his time in previous jumps.
Nothing to conclusive at first until over the years as the channel grows it becomes more. Some of the hidden content referencing locations on YouTube's earth that have things from previous jumps in them that have appeared thanks to that one old purchase in swords and sorcery oh so long ago. Hidden temples suddenly discovered by following the leads in a hidden video, something that looks like the long-decayed remains of spaceship left to rot for centuries on the other side of the world for another.
Get basically a whole secondary community around these mysteries. Eventually by around five years just having how to do actual magic videos and the like being able to be found uploaded secretly that actually work.

I imagine there will be a lot of theorists on Jumpers channel speculating or call it all a hack but... some will know better.

honestly that is the worst thing you can do unless you already havve a very large and dedicated fanbase.

The youtube algorithm would have no idea to whom to show your videos if you dont focus even a bit, and growing your audience is gonna be extremly painfully slow.

Thats why many youtubers do additional channels for other kinds of content.
