An antagonist in a (sadly short-lived) fantasy-cyberpunk game I ran. Not just an ogre, but an ogre equipped with military-grade cybernetics that can make it practically invisible. Imagine fighting a gorilla, but it's as smart as a human, can shrug off small arms fire, and can sneak up invisibly behind you before snapping your neck. Man, that was a fun boss fight.

Very little, actually. One of my players is an artist and he does all the initial character references--here's the full spread of references he's done. He's part of various art communities that do trades and collaborations, so a decent number of the pieces come from those. Other times, he just reinvests some of what he makes from commissions. I know there are a couple I paid for, but I can't actually remember which ones at this point.

Werewolf 5e pack so far. Still getting players together. Basically a young Silver Fang finds out she is Silver Fang, and is getting brought along by a pack disguising themselves as a touring family in an RV so she can get the rest of the pack to stop ripping each other apart.
>Cyrus, Silent Strider gaillard. Plays the part of an obnoxious tourist who keeps getting 'lost' and winds up where he shouldn't to scout.
>Shannon, Silver Fang theurge. She's so far removed from the bloodline, most forgot she even existed. She's now the only one who can get the spirits her great grandad wrangled to listen.
>Mr. and Mrs. Deng. Bone Gnawer ahroun. One's a survivor of 'the war', he won't say which one, and Mrs. Deng has the patience of a saint compared to everyone else. Which makes it that much more terrifying when she's pissed.
They can sorta pass off as a family as long as you don't look to hard at them, and that's how they're gonna play it off so no one wonders why Cyrus' little girl matches the one on those missing posters.

It's deceptively small. The tech-marine in the back is an NPC. The white scar and space wolf are played by one playerβ€”each player has two characters on the crusade's destroyer, and the party is selectively deploying four marines for each sub-mission, so sometimes players double up on their characters for an operation.

from a cyberpunk game. We had a gig to somehow get inside a house and disable the hacked security system.
Int 3 solo put all her 3 neurons together and came up with the idea of sneaking past the turrets and camera under a huge scardboard box, since "The turret will see a box, not a person, right?"
She carried the techie under her arm inside the box, so he would deactivate and bypass traps while she did the sneaking and athtletics checks.
Several sessions later, she killed the techie by crushing his skull against the pavement, after the techie went cyberpsycho and tried to kill our exec. :c

You're really good at dividing panels into sub-panels without using the gutters.
And when speech bubbles don't go top-to-bottom left-to-right, the reader's eye still follows them in the right order thanks to how they snake around the artwork.

So even putting aside your artistic talent, you're good at making comics which I notice and appreciate.

That was really the goal of those two. I usually set a thing I'll focus on when I practice my art.
>the reader's eye still follows them in the right order
I had some people misread the order, but then you gotta plan right so even if people fuckup the panel pipeline the page would still make sense. Ofc in this particular example the story is easy to follow. It would probably be much more complicated on a more complex thing.
>you're good at making comics which I notice and appreciate.
That is my main focus actually. I am working on something big for the last 5-6 years in my free time and sadly, a lot of people focus on whats in the panels instead of composition, flow and rhythm of the panels.

John Wickfoot, our drunk rogue halfling murderer. He tried to find a greater demon who killed his family but gave up years ago and started drinking, slacking and killing for hire. A few sessions ago, he was able to stumble upon his arch enemy but because he was too weak to fight him, decided to blow up a macguffin with himself and the demon. This way he was also able to destroy the soul tokens/coins in which his family was trapped in so he freed their souls.

Basically he was the only grownup in the party beside Arrianne. The only things that remain of him are part of his cloak (that Arrianne tailored for him) that now marks his grave in Avernus, part of his spear and part of his dagger that Arrianne now carries in his memory and to possibly bury as a symbolic gesture if she every makes it back to material plane.

There was a test in the US of some AI-powered threat detection system thing recently. Nothing near production ready, IIRC.

This was one of the ways that the soldiers/marines (can't remember which) managed to sneak past it.

They also sneaked past by rolling across the floor and bunny-hopping, as well, IIRC

I don't know if I'll manage to get Arrianne to survive her party, let alone get out of Avernus. Previous session Arrianne decided to stab our wild magic mage Ferris in the neck because he was already sketchy due to not caring about John's death and excessively bullying Arrianne with magic but has started growing additonal noses and faces all over his body (pictured here >>95977313). Since this happened in front of the other party members, Amy - our beloved gullible cleric and Frost - our thug faggot decided to beat Arrianne and then threaten to dip her into river Styx. The whole party is falling apart fast because Frost is lost and heavily manipulated by Ferris; Ferris has gone on a Lich path; Arrianne is in a desperate spiral and Amy has become suicidal zealot.

>Is this common?
No, it's very specific to this campaign. It started as a silly slapstick but it quickly compounded when we got stuck in hell because every character is very stubborn in their own way. Arrianne and Amy refuse of accept that the world they live in now is completely different than their comfy material plane, Frost is recklessly driven by emotion and cannot see how his actions have longterm consequences and Ferris can't realize that others don't share his twisted vision of the world.
We played an evil campaign before this which I ran and the party was less dysfunctional. I think it's because we have a table of people who know each other for more than 10 years and are adults so we can explore these types of interactions without anyone being too butthurt.

I gladly never did. Only videos of animals getting ripped apart by them.

The context was Hex using downtime to go hunt gators with some swamp people she made contacts and chooms with. But since I specced her into brawling/MA, we had trouble getting too close before the gators ran away.
The swamp chooms usualy hunt them with huge rifles, but the self challenge was wrestle them and get perfectly unruined leather and meat.
The one she managed to pounce, grapple and drag out of the water to beat the shit of kept slipping, until the gm rolled a series of crits that took off her arm and half her face. Nearly died, and then i realized choking was the better option than brawling/ma during grapple. The lesson was learned.
Her ripperdoc failed the rolls to reattach the arm with the frame, so she ended up getting a cyberarm and a new face.

I have no idea. We've been doing this from...I think February previous year? This year was very slow. We basically didn't play entire January, April, June and now there's talk of skipping August too which is unacceptable to me. We'll probably ditch another player (girl who plays Frost) and replace her with an old fren who recently came back to city and will stay longterm and be available.
>And just how much of it is roleplay vs rollplay?
Usually much more roleplay and flavoring. The Frost player goes out of her way to do stuff her character is not designed to do in order to fit how her character would react.

A lot of the mechanics are just from the game translated into our homebrew system, which is simplified from the main game battle into a TTRPG format.
I wanted a bit more mechanical depth so I made a specific mystery dungeon that's just so fucked up you need to start worrying about stress, food, light etc.
Made a settlement around it, basically a warhammer fantasy dwarf hold that's been locked up for centuries due to an external threat and the threat of the mystery dungeon escaping containment. Instead of beardy dwarfs they're fairy types, mostly Tinkatons, and they have legends of a Diancie as a promised queen at the bottom of the dungeon they're trying to uncover.
