>>96008966What the fuck would you want on Sesame Street cards?
Also canonically The Count is not a vampire, so you're screwed there. They'd probably have to have a muppet creature type or something. Are Sesame Street characters muppets? I don't even know anymore.

Oscar the grouch cares about junk tokens
Elmo has a show and tell ability
I dunno man, sounds fun to me
>he doesn't like goblins
I bet he plays generic Blue Do-Thing-Draw slop commanders.
When playing Sage of the Maze and gates, I like to short hand it by:
>Tapping Sage of the Maze then say "I tap Sage of the maze for 2 mana"
>"I'll tap this gate to untap sage of the maze"
>Tapping Sage again and then say "For another 2 mana"
>Then proceed to tap each gate counting 2 more mana without going through the process of untapping the sage each time
Does it matter if I don't specify which color mana or that I don't go through the process of untapping the sage each time? Is someone gonna eventually pull this up on me?

>>96010001I don't mind shortcuts, but hear me out for a minute. For deterministic repeatable game actions and loops if you show me what you're doing the first time and showing me how you can do it again, then my only caveat is when you're done you clarify the exact game state.
So if you have 4 gates untapped and repeatedly untap Sage of the Mazes for mana, then all I want you to do is tell me at the end what colors the 10 mana you made are going to be, unless you're spending it immediately on a colorless cost where it won't matter.
Same thing with loops; technically you don't produce infinite mana; so just specify the end result ("I produce 5 million mana, 1 million of each color" is functionally infinite mana, but actually specifies the gamestate). Once again, if the specifics of outcome doesn't actually matter (like "i produce 1 million mana; Earthquake X=one million.") then it's fine, but where its relevant it should be clarified.
You should ensure there are no responses following the shortcut to prevent having to rewind the gamestate; but otherwise you only have to do it once and then prove you can do it again, then it's fine to just say 'okay I do it X times then'.
>>96010175It's Star Wars. Hasbro had the rights to Star Trek for 1 year a decade ago. They currently have the rights to Star Wars and are on good terms with Disney.

>>96009969It's actually insanely simple to stat out The Count, if you're not a chump.
The Count - Muppet Noble artifact creature
1WB
I love to count! - Whenever a token enters the battlefield under your control, add W. If this is the second time this ability has triggered this turn, create a */* Countess artifact creature, where * is the number of Countess artifact creatures you control. If this is the third time this ability has triggered this turn, draw a card.
>>96010230it's not an infinite. Its an interaction between effect layering. The game see's the conflict and has a rule to fix it. The end result is dress down as a creature with no abilities, and all creatures on the field have no abilities.
An infinite requires triggers
>>96010251Good callback to Count's stable of girlfriends but making them Thing tokens makes more sense
>>96010217You know, goblins throughout MTG history have take very different appearances in each plain. It's sad that I can't tell if this is serious or not.
Won at commander night, but discovered far too late that two of the players were extremely new. One of them couldn't comprehend stickers and complained about how confusing they were. Things mellowed after the first game, but two of the players were initially quite salted after being repeatedly rammed by an 8/7 Ukkima.
Did however pull a buster sword out of the pack you get for winning.

Figure out the mana you need, then loop your dorks. If you don't know what mana you need, you're going to have to guess with the limited information you have.
If you counted wrong and notice before you finish I'm happy to let you replay, but I'm not going to let you float "mana" and wait to draw something off the top of your deck and then decide the mana you made was the color you need to cast it.
>>96010469She's not even out yet and she has a lot of competition against other boros equipment piles.
>>96010464It's literally a non-issue at our game store most of the time. I don't know why people bitch so much about prizes in commander. Pods are fill-and-fire here and no one at the store plays CEDH to farm wins. It's literally an excuse to mix with people you don't know. You play the one game for some small prize (a pack, store credit, etc) and then you have like 5 hours at the store to play EDH. Usually with the same table or whoever else you want.
Everyone online seems to have this instinct to get super sweaty and show up to farm credit. But I've never seen it play out like that in practice

>>96011052Yeah, I can agree on that. You can also use one of my personal favorite timmy combos, Liquimetal Torque + Sculpting Steel. Is enrage a triggered ability? You can also go that route and try to copy the triggers, if it is. There's enough support in red for that that it's a viable option.

bonus points for cheap repeatable ones, for instance low cost creatures you can get back from the graveyard.
protection is a bit dicier, usually you have to choose something specific, like Holy Day that cancels all combat damage for the turn (1 mana), ethereal haze does the same thing but "dmg dealt by creatures this turn" so it cancels effects also. there's a lot that gives your creatures indestructible, or target creature hexproof+indestructible.

we even brought up on an annual meeting to have a hygiene box in the LGS that anyone could use if they just arrived and felt a bit unfresh, needed menstrual stuff or whatever reason to use the things within, but it was shut down by a fat tabletop player (who tbf doesn't smell bad, but is always sweaty and dresses in too small clothes).

>>96013579hes talking about this art, i have a friend who bought it because 10 is his favorite and he doesnt even play magic
>>96013611Having shitty art doesn't magically make the generic card on theme. The only deck rhystic is on theme is is a deck that cares about drawing on turns that aren't yours or taxing your opponents. Anywhere else it is there cause you wanna buy wins
>>96013611>1 single good card in the 99The problem isn't that he always has it, it's that the ceiling of his deck skyrockets if he gets it.
A power level 5 Tivit voting deck is casual fun for the table but if the Tivit player puts a Time Sieve down and no one has removal for it, it suddenly stops feeling like a power level 5 deck even though he only has one of them in the whole deck.
>>96013586NTA, but I have a friend who runs it and we don't pay the taxes because his deck is so shit it doesn't matter how many cards he's going to draw the odds of him losing are always nearly 100%
>>96013365VERY nice for my Slime against Humanity deck.
>>96011470https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/04-07-25-catdog/?cb=1751649113
made this please rate
>>96013649Some decks can take very strong cards and keep them balanced if the rest of the deck can't take advantage of it. The FF10 precon isn't that weak.
>>96013345Yes? How is that even a question. You shuffle every time. Otherwise it could easily be gamed.
>>96013649Well in anon's case, the Tidus precon is actually pretty good out of the box, so an unchecked Rhystic will take over the game
>>96013556>>96013611Wow nice funko pop such flavor.
Quick what do I add to my deck today to make a BBB joke?
>>96013556https://archidekt.com/decks/14274986/ffx_blinged_precon
here, my blinged out precon. is it overpowered?
>>96013700Any card that negatively affects everyone including yourself but it's ok you're owning the libs
>>96013700One perfect choice
>>96013725Ah so more two-sided effects like this huh, I could throw some more in there. It'll be real annoying though since I already run Propaganda and Ghostly Prison.

>>96013728He could also play the blue decree. Ignoring the next three spells his opponents cast.
>>96013765Already run it hahahah. This was an America general deck with Zedruu Obama originally.
>>96013354>>96013395>>96013666It's a casual game. It's not like I'm counting cards or some shit. I just want to play.
I honestly thought everyone did this until I visited family in another city and they would shuffle after every mulligan. I asked them why they don't just pull another 7 off the top and they looked at me like I grew a second head.
>>96013774Yes they looked at you like you were suggesting everyone just cheat. Casual doesn't mean no rules what a word defense.
>>96013774because people like you will dig for sol ring and other bullshit you stick together. What you are doing is called the bitchhead mulligan, it's only for people who suck at shuffling and can't get lands after 5 mulligans and the table is tired of the retard.
>>96013700Get your credit card and use it to send money to an Israeli's deck. Then call your playgroup anti-Semitic when they mention you could have used the money to improve your own deck
>>96013700>Republicans admit it's a dogshit bill>Pass it anywaysMasterful gambit
>>96013830>representing sub groups as the whole group to make the point of hypocrisy
>>96013830Most are very happy with it though, especially after the part about selling national park land was removed. Overall its good
>>96013795K, any Jews here on /tg/' that want a Masterpiece Sol Ring shipped to them? I'm literally not allowed to post on /pol/ so I don't have very easy access to Israel. It'll be Bigger and Better than my own masterpiece sol ring, the Goldest Sol Ring you've ever seen! And unlike my sol ring it won't be made in China. Sad! For me.
>>96013869>I'm literally not allowed to post on /pol/Wow I could never fuckin imagine why.
>>96013830>Dems thing Kamala is a bad candidate >Run her anyways
>>96012556I feel really lucky with my lgs, almost everyone who plays is a veteran who picked up the game when deployed, tradies trying to kill time, married dads, and young married couples who like card games. Even the rare few trannys are polite and practice good hygiene. The only stereotypical lgs dweller is hated and regularly bullied in his games.
>>96013774>It's not like I'm counting cards or some shit. I just want to play. You literally are though, you know your deck, and you know what now isn't in it. Why don't you just loudly announce you will put whatever 7 cards you want as an opener in your hand then shuffle and cut out this "I'm not really cheating teehee" nonsense
>>96013891Yeah it's strange, but the mods have gotten a lot harsher in there over the years throwing out bans for the slightest thing.
>>96009764 (OP)>What was the first deck you ever built?Norin the Wary stax, before it became the meme deck it is today, back when the format was called EDH, before WotC printed any commander product, and back when Memnarch and Zur were the boogiemen of the format
>>96013830>>96013906>retarded jew americans think either party is different
>>96013982Noris was like the very first meme deck my dude.
>>96013869That orangeman card is fucking jokes with the Jeb line. 2016 debate Trump was an absolute walking meme, we will never witness that level of kek energy ever again
>>96013996I made it before it became widely known as a meme deck is what im saying. Someone made an mtgsalvation thread about their norin chaos deck and that's when Norin officially became a meme commander
>>96013997I often wonder just how many votes were literally changed to Trump back then purely because of this video alone.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWhi_JXos60
>>96013768ha, I remember these jokes.
do you still have stuff like steel hellkite for bombing people?
anyway, turf war, lust for war, there's a few red stax enchantments with "war" in the name. also ye olde assault suit ruhan. make it an iron man suit or something.

>>96013365this card leaked less than two hours ago, yet i've had this erection more than four hours already
peculiar
>>96014004It's always been a meme.
>>96014013My favorite was in the hall of the trumpenking and when he talked about Rosie o Donnell then airports dropped and meme glasses appeared on his face.
>>96014022It wasn't known enough to be a meme before that mtgsalvation thread and everyone started building a norin chaos deck
>>96014004>>96013982No one cares about your delusions of grandeur fanfic about yourself
>>96013774>>96013345>Anon finds out he was cheating intentionally or unintentionally >Instead of accepting this and learning to play correctly he goes on 4chan to try and justify his actions like it should be the norm
>>96013774Doesn't matter if it's casual or not. Hell, it's almost worse to cheat when it's casual for how no stakes things are. You just shuffle every time. It's easy.
>>96014042I just thought it was surprising. Everyone does it in casual commander where I'm from. I didn't realize it wasn't the norm until I saw other people doing it differently.
>>96014034It was known enough for you to do it. Why do you think other people weren't?
>>96014064I built norin stax, not chaos meme version
>>96014053Doesn't change the fact instead of saying "hey guys, crazy story about how I was playing wrong" you opted to go with "why doesn't everyone cheat?"
>>96014083>I built meme deck A not meme deck BCongrats I guess
>>96014013These videos were hilarious to spam at libtards after he won.
https://youtu.be/CiJYGV8faZw?feature=shared
I should make a jeskai weapons of mass destruction deck to celebrate the Trumpenking on Independence day
>>96014089>you opted to go with "why doesn't everyone cheat?"Because I'm genuinely curious. I wonder why it never caught on. It seems way more time efficient and doesn't seem like it would be very effective for cheating, at all.
>>96014053>everyone does itNo they dont.
>>96014114>why did cheating never catch onIt's a game you play for fun.
>>96014119They do where I live.
>it's more fun thinking about playing the deck and building it than actually playing it
>>96014142>build a fun deck>no one else builds fun decks>games are not fun
>>96014134No, they do not. You have made this part up because you thought you'd be met with support, or else it would have been part of the initial post.
>post a card you've never seen anyone else run
This thing is so much value for 3 mana
>>96014144>build something that's not boring lategame control that inevitably leads to "build up a big amount of resources then use them all at once to take someone out">get focused down first by everyone else who just wants to keep ramping to lategame, even when attacking someone else is in everyone's interest
>>96014158that card is so pretty that I would run it just for the appearance
>>96014158oooh i might have to toss that into my Araumi clone deck.
>>96014142This is edh in general
>>96013365*excited unicorn sounds*
>>96014250There's a lot of mentions of this guy lately, why?
>>96014144This is why I no longer have fun with the game. People don't build fun decks they enjoy, they just netdeck the most powerful/meta shit
>>96014183>build a random deck because I have some of the parts and it seems fun>sit down and say I have it, someone in pod says he was thinking of making one himself>say it's not finished, it has zero wincons, but I'll play it to show some tech>play three mana rocks and he says "you're ramping too much, I'm scared" and alpha strikes me
I want to build a jeskai or boros deck with all my cool nuclear mass destruction spells like decree of annihilation, jakulhaups and Armageddon, but how will it actually win and end the game? Does anyone have experience with such a deck?
>>96014285I assume people built Betor then they realized the gay unicorn is just the same thing but a lot stronger and with better mana and more streamlined gameplan
>>96014299>>play three mana rocks and he says "you're ramping too much, I'm scared" and alpha strikes meAnd?
I'd be afraid too of the guy with 7 mana open on turn 4.
>>96012471You go to Lgs to find the 5-10 people that arent disgusting and then invite them to your friend group.
Anyone still at the lgs cannot do this which increases the chance of bad hygiene and poor social skills.
>>96014314it was like turn 6 (I think I had 14 mana open)
>>96014294I built a fun Bilbo birthday deck featuring all the hobbits and cards like second breakfast and shortcut to mushrooms. It usually just makes some food, gets some hobbit tokens then dies. I play it if I win a few games in a row and don't want to keep stomping the table and looking like a try hard. It's still fun but the lack of ability to win or threaten anyone leads to me rarely playing it. It's probably edh backet 1, below the average precon deck. The game is about trying to win, after all.
>>96014250>>96014307This guy seemed better to me because of when the trigger happens
>>96014353Can't hit any creatures and you're missing a ton of value cards if you're limited to Treefolk and Halflings. All the good lifegain/counters creatures are non-functioning in that deck.
>>96014371Huh interesting, I just realized lathiel targets any number of creatures
I might actually build that deck...
>>96014320I would love to play with people like you, who prefer flavour to competitivity
it's so disjointed when someone is playing a character who's lorewise goal is safeguarding human with a bunch of orcs or giants or whatever just because the creature effects work well
>>96014320Wish we knew each other so we could play a game. You sound really chill and fun to play with.
My group has been in an arms race for a while now and I've been trying to get them to cool by building fun decks but it hasn't really worked so well
>>96014500Hurray, another 30+ dollar doubler
>>96014500>just double itIs there a more soulless mechanic?
>>96014500Mechanized Production support
>>96014528>>96014534This doesn't double though
>>96014500My Golbez deck is gonna love this
Caught between building Savra and Maxirek. Both seem pretty decent, but one's an enabler whereas the other is payoff, and both fit in the 99 of each other's decks
>>96014500>oh my goodness gracious me, my (token generator commander) deck is going to wuv wuv wuvvv this!!This is an auto include in any deck with a commander that makes one or more tokens across the course of a game, or any deck with a treasure generator (any deck not in green, and half the decks in green).
I guess the limiting factor is that the deck might need one or more artifacts and possibly a non-legendary creature in the 99, but I think most decks can handle that restriction.
>>96014597>chronically unhappywhat's it like being mentally ill?
>>96014597>STOP MAKING CARDS PEOPLE WILL WANT TO USE
>>96014635I repeat
>chronically unhappy
>>96014571>>96014597if you're too pussyshit to reply to the tripfag, I'll make it easier for you.
>>96014579Savra for lower power, Mazirek for higher power.
>>96014649He's not talking about me, my commander doesn't generate tokens!
>>96014158I like to play it in a few decks, but none of them are really mill decks, so the game needs to be grindy to get the backside.
>>96014640Im very happy. What does me finding a card boring have to do with happiness? You're projecting anon, my happiness does not hinge upon a card.
>>96014019>do you still have stuff like steel hellkite for bombing people?Uhh, no? Is a Hellkite a nickname for a type of jet or something? I don't get the reference.
>turf war, lust for warThese seem pretty neat, I'll have to try them out.
>assault suitAlready got it proxied up as T-45 armor years ago.
>>96014004Widely known what? Norin is fundamentally a meme deck, there is no serious way to play a Norin deck.
