Suggest the ideal pity hero for your faction.

None. If my faction doesn't get a pity hero, then GW has to give them an actual unit instead. The game just doesn't need more "foot hero that buffs a single unit but costs more than the unit itself".

you cannot pick the dragonfly with the most thick ass possible and then say that the obviously grasshopper cavalry doesnt look like grasshoppers

nevermind the fact that the sylvaneth mounts do not have top mounted omnidirectional wings like dragonflies, but instead have side mounted single directional wings like a grasshopper. they also do not have dragonfly style legs which all are mounted at the front of the thorax, but rather have legs which are mounted at the front and back of the thorax like grasshoppers, and they lack the incredibly oversized compound 360 degree eyes of a dragonfly, having something much more similar to the small sideways facing eyes of a grasshopper.

they also have a large protective shell which their wings folt under, a feature lacked by dragonflies but present among most grasshoppers and have a large prominent forward jutting lower mandible just like grasshoppers, unlike dragonflies which have a smaller mandible that faces inwards towards their thorax and tail where they capture their prey.

In a vacuum it's better than nothing but the hunter is kinda trash in AoS and TOW. Ironguts are good for both games. The gnoblars are also good for both games, but 12 is too small for TOW (you need 20). You might be able to bulk out the ranks with the spare gnoblars on the Irongut sprues though

the fact they got an actual unit, on top of multiple pity heroes, underworld bands and scenery pieces, makes them sound safer than all other factions that got squatted, but if they don't get updated by the end of the edition, then their situation could be very dire as well.

I don't think it's been actually rumored but lack of future Ogor rumors + TOW's success in general + Cathay's big successful launch (which Ogres are their closest rival) + beastman getting squatted make it common speculation.

Beastmen got an entirely new model that was around like a year/year and a half before squatting was announced. I don't think those are great signs of staying. Similar to beastmen the cost of new plastic molds for an entire range refresh is high so they might just decide that they're better of relaunching them in TOW

round bases would have one day been considered borderline heretical to suggest for fantasy, but that aspect in particular was quite smoothly accepted, probably because everyone came from the hordes-heavy meta of 8th edition and everyone was somewhat relieved that the game was decreasing the number of models per army, both due to the bases and due to the change in rules and army composition making monsters and monstrous stuff more common

what is interesting is that most of these issues have since been rectified:
stormcasts have been redesigned to be less tacky and their role is less overbearing
the game got more and more in-depth rules
the setting dialed back on the mythical he-man fantasy hyperboles for something a bit more grounded and a bit more gritty
and over time the information about the setting have been piling up and being interconnected to form areas where maps are actually indicative of places, events and things
the only thing left is that it killed the old world, that's ultimately the first and final sin of aos, and not even completely, because the models and rules side of the old world too have been brought back as their own system

so in practice, it's just the end times, not aos

sex with stormcast women
In seriousness though, I do think SCE as they are now are actually a very good addition to the game. Their 3rd and 4th edition models are (mostly) stellar (2nd was good too, the robes really reduced the sense of fatcast, but the thunderstrike armor is just a great improvement), they have good rules and they serve a nice purpose in the narrative as the main military force of Order, the hand that presses the balancing scales in their favor. I actually really like that the war against chaos is more even in AoS than it was in 40k and whfb, where chaos is/was just always stronger, where in AoS its always felt like order has a fighting chance. It's not just stormcast, dawnbringer crusades and morathi's successes also help with that feeling, but SCE are definitely a big part of it.

As for the terrorgheist, I do think unfortunately the most likely option is that they just refresh the terrorgheist and drop the zombie dragon from the fec range.
