It makes no sense to have your goblins be these cute mischievous little green creatures, but then also stigmatize them as these murderous rapist psychos and associated with evil. If you like goblins that way, then you might as well officially treat them as part of the Fay folk. That means other Fay like Elves for example should be fine with them or at least have found a way to live with them. I mean at this point they are literally just green-skinned Elves, when Elves were seen as these mischievous nature spirits.

I think it's a bit psycho to force this extreme genocidal hatred on a race in a fantasy universe, when there are no more good reasons to harbor that hatred anymore, just an association with a vibe. You are not going to start killing fairies in the forest, because some fairies stole an apple pie from a window. This total fixation on Tolkien in fantasy and this Christian good/evil dichotomy has done so much damage to the portrayal of the Fay. Even coomers seem to have a better insight into what fay creatures are like, but they reinforce the problem by separating the sexual aspect of the Fay in a separate porn fantasy universe, when the mysterious, sexual and dangerous are inherently part of the Fay.
