"Female Space Marines" are part of a new 8th-esque status quo change. In the Nihilus, some Astartes have gone full renegade and seek to become an entirely new species to rule over humanity as is their birthright. To unshackle them, the Astartes managed to convert females so the race could propagate on its own.

This now increases the range of Space Marines to include these Renegades as their own separate army, which has a focus on some more firstborn stuff.

Szarekh has the Wound and Toughness advantage, but the Sceptre Of Eternal Glory has no melee profile and thus he has to rely on the Weapons Of The Final Triarch instead, which will be wounding Guilliman on 5s (Though does have lethal hits) and deals 2 damage a pop, meaning Szarekh has to get five hits past a 2+/4++ to score the kill.
Meanwhile Guilliman with the Hand Of Dominion is certainly wounding on 3+ and also has Lethals to boot, dealing 4 damage, so Guilliman only needs to get 4 attacks past Szarekh's own 2+/5++
Guilliman also stands back up on a 3+, giving him a good chance fight back even if Szarekh charges and gets lucky.

This is wildly variable. Salamanaders recruit aspirants as young as 7 and make them work in the forged until some are selected to become marines while others just become chapter serfs. Space wolves and Blangels recruit older, but have way more violent and vicious trials. They both also have a far faster turnover since Blangels go into a coffin for a year and come out space marines while Woofs have to go to some eldritch hell dimension to meet their planet spirit and be blessed with a 20% chance of turning into a werewolf and can even have kids before becoming marines.

People who run havoks and obliterators go with fellhammer siege host. In some instances this raises their durability by 1/3rd (turning a 1 in 2 chance to a 1 in 3 chance to wound them).

Cabal with a havok squad would benefit with a few weapon types to think about.
-Heavy Bolter for 36" range, str6 means they can hurt most T11 and below stuff with 2 wounds.
