Dude that shit hurts to watch, and is exactly how I was when I was first trying to play it. Aside from the mild mechanical bloat, the core mechanics feel super fun once you find a stance you like for different weapons. The way Yokai stamina works is a bit of a bitch at times though, but then again I'm all the way at Dream of the Wise as of yesterday so it doesn't surprise me that progress has slowed.
Nioh would be a lot of fun as another japan-focused set with tons of yokai designs, cool characters, and lots of room for equipment nonsense but also imagine more Ogre/Demon synergies like Kamigawa had.

I've decided to build a bracket 2 cEDH deck so I can pubstomp the Timmys at me LGS. I was thinking using Narset and filling the deck with every extra combat card available (no chaining extra turns but extra combats will achieve similar enough results) and assembling a three card combo or just crushing the table under extreme value.

Good new Wizards keep getting printed at least every other set, and many of them have good ETB effects or triggered abiliies which are king of the meta now. New vampires on the other hand rarely get printed, usually years between them, and I can't even remember the last time a good new vampire was printed. And there's just not a lot of good tribal synergy cards within the type, it's always really underwhelming shit like Stensia Masquerade. The best vampires are now wildly overcosted for where the game is at.

Edgar's strongest build is aristocrats and even then he's been totally eclipsed by Zurgo mobilize decks in Mardu. He's now thoroughly a slightly above average strength casual deck. Hell he would lose against a lot of precons nowadays. Vamps - like most tribes - have been left behind by FIRE.

Actually I suggest completely scrapping almost the entire precon, it will cloud your judgement on how to actually make an efficient +1/+1 counter deck. The fact that you think you need contagion clasp in the main tells me you have never played this archetype before.

You need the bare bones of this to make a good Tidus deck, you have about 50 cuts to make here. Oh and add some more lands you weirdo.
