Mecha War Guy here.

So what do you guys want to see out of the 1990s Mecha War. So far have I have three major factions as well.

I have a theocratic empire that has been around since the middle ages (Over 1000 years of continued existence) with inspirations from the Ottoman and Germans. The aggression of them annexing an economically in debt neighbor to pay back loans and then war debt (the nation started an uprising after being forced to lease land to payback a loan, now occupied until they payback both situation.)

I have a coalition of independent states many monarchies working as an alliance to chip away at the empire for break away states, reclaim old historical lands, and balance of power the continent and space colonies.

Then I have a plutocratic democracy on the neighboring continent controlled by long-standing houses and commoners. Imagine Athens Greece but without falling to tyrants or losing to Spartans and Persians.

The war happens because the coalition and empire start shooting each other have border incursions by "both" sides. The federation becomes involved because they are supplying the coalition in the war and get their fleet bombed by the empire to knock off the supplying in a Day of Infamy, thus making the war intercontinental.

Someone made the suggestion of having waifus as a separate page/DLC. That is not a bad idea especially since I kinda want them to be woven into the war narrative.

My idea is that captured female combatants are first dips of the officer who led the capture, ground or mecha.

If he passes her over, she can be picked by the other officers under or next to him, if they pass her over then she becomes a bid for NCOs only. If no one bids for her then she becomes a PoW and gets PoW treatment.

After being made a bride, she is then sent to be re-educated and convinced first peacefully submit to her husband. After that if she converted she is made a conscript of the Empire under her husband. If not they make it more harsh for her until she does submit.

Officers in the Empire can have up to five women as a war bride.

A ruined security system will then fall to a conventional assault by Magical Girls. Dark Cult can be infiltrated by pretending to be from a Corporate (true), and that I’m on their side (false). Use Tech to cook up some slow-acting poisons, and let the Cult Leader die in her sleep, while the thralls are freed with my own Magical know-how after she’s dead.

The Leylines can be infiltrated by pretending to be a high-end Corporate Sorcerer necessary for it’s maintenance, after subtly worsening the project from within to get them desperate, then I can slip in the chaos, to wipe out it’s heart. My end goals lies in the fact that Light and Dark prove to be completely untrustable. Our very existence is an existential threat to the Light side, and they’re never going to forget it, so we’re always on the potential glassing list, and our sneak peek at their end goal is the Pure…yeah. Dark is too malevolent to be trusted as well, burning worlds for the lols like in the case of Steve. If we play our cards just right, humanity can strike it out on our own, free from fickle gods, who would never countenance our full potential. Harvest the lore from the slumbering Dark side, and slowly bring in Magical Girls to my banner. Humanity should stand on its own two feet, and no others.
