The deckbuilder is engaged with the game and trying to find a way to have fun. If they're any good at being a deckbuilder, they might even be iterating on their deck in order to improve it.

Meanwhile the lore scholar is a secondary to the game, and more over, is engaging with the worst part of the lore.
