Currently my AT the moment project is taking Sandy from the final fantasy series and making a new almost identical version of her for pen and paper character. built around spears and a few spells like in the game. magic/fighter duel class.
DM did the aight video game character run it is and gave us the genres we can pick from and said we had to remake them but make them near identical. So its an interesting challenge since I usually just roll up thief or druid and call it good.
Here is a rendition so far of where it's at with her. Now I just gotta do stats and equipment and all that jazz and I can slap this photo on the character sheet. On the flip my one friend playing actually decided to take a goldman from dragon quest series. im amused by that. no idea what the other 2 will pick or from what game and than make into a near identical new version. not sure I think the world will be dnd 5th edition but not sure yet.

>that's the problem>that's the problem.im confused when you became authority and bought the website and decide what is and isnt a problem in a thread. no people posting their characters are not a problem and no people posting their characters multiple times in a thread is NOT a problem and you can whine and bitch and twist reality into your false one but NO it is not bad, wrong, not allowed or as you liek to keep lying a problem. what IS a problem is all you wierdos and retards coming around and constantly shitting up these threads with bad wrong views like POSTING CHARACTERS IS BAD IF ITS MORE THAN ONCE AND SINCE I DONT LIKE IT ILL SHIT UP THE THREAD PRETENDING IM ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF HISTORY WITH IT! you people are delusional and live in a fantasy reality and than try to act as if this reality is wrong. its interesting to see since you all keep persisting in repeated untrue phrases like "It's seeing the same characters over and over and over again in most threads that's the problem." since its NOT a problem and you only are making it a problem when it hasnt been for years. and spare me the ive been here for years and im sick of it. no, no you werent and stop with that lie of now I speak up once all these new autism showed up autism sperging and spamming the thread with troll posts and harassment repeatedly against specific posters and regulars all rule breaking behavior by you people and your delusions this is hero work you're doing acting this way.

>>96154964As someone who went through the archives recently (and posted collections of good gens from them a few threads ago) I can tell you now that you're dishonest. Consistent characters were not a thing for quite sometime outside of "Coco" (who was not named nor had cringey lore attached to her after the fact) and she was mostly used as a shared subject matter to test poses or styles on. The OC types did not infiltrate until far later. There was a lot of variety and creativity in those early days. That's the true spirit of these threads, not this who's who of repetitive and uninspired Mary Sues and Gary Stus who put each other in their gens and blog about their real lives. You can go back and check yourself, but you won't, because it would prove your stance on /slop/ is incorrect. Those of us who want to see it return to a freeform sandbox of ideas unattached ideas are not out of line, just because you don't like being rightfully told you're cringey and insufferable.

My d.m. told me and the players to take a video game character and make them into a new almost identical version of them for our dnd campaign. so while you wanna scream and cry and shit and fit and pretend you are authority you are not and she is on topic because she is a character based on but not IS and she is in a dnd pen and paper reality. too bad so sad you aren't in charge autism. now if you'll excuse me i'm going to post more of my dnd character you think you have a say over.

Tranpara-Girl has the mental ability to manipulate ambient cosmic energy to render her costume completely invisible. In an as yet unknown manner, cosmic energy interacts with the cells of her costume in such a way as to produce a new form of energy with unusual properties. By a simple act of concentration, she can cause all wavelengths of visible, infrared, and ultraviolet light to bend around her costume without distortion. An observer, unaware of the peculiar path light takes around her costume, would have the sensation of seeing right through it. Transpara-Girl can also mentally project the invisible energy produced within the cells of her body in order to render her costume invisible in photos or videos taken where the costume was initially visible. She has sufficient control over her power that she can turn parts of her costume selectively invisible. Her costume is naturally and effortlessly invisible to radar and video equivalents, regardless of the level of technology, up to and including extra-terrestrial and celestial.

Many moons ago, we had a Champions game set in the late 1930's with a definite pulp feel. My character was "The Patriot", leader of a small group of heroes in Boston. He was mildly superpowered with the strength of ten men, supernaturally tough, and had a "flintlock musket" that fired beams of plasma to a variety of effects.
Leftovers from a few threads back

Fightin' Irene is a first generation American after her boxing father came over on the titanic only to be sent back to Europe during WW1. At one point his unit got gassed by the Germans but somehow he managed to survive. It wasn't until many years later he realized his first daughter ended up having super strength and nearly indestructible skin by the time she was 4 years old. He took it upon himself to train her in boxing and eventually she became the street level hero - Fightin' Irene.

The Goblin was Hannah Herschlag, a mild-mannered but intelligent chemical engineer (and slugger on the local girl's league baseball team) who, as a result of a chemical accident with toxic military weapons, gained extraordinary luck powers. Guns pointed at her jam. If thrown off a building, she lands on a passing pickup carrying mattresses, etc.
Not overly pulpy but I've been tinkering around with Spangle some more.
Scheherazade is a young Persian woman who's family immigrated to the Us after the breakup of the Ottoman empire. After studying ancient mystical texts, she gained prodigious mental powers, able to entrance men with her beauty and ensnare people's minds with her voice.

This is Hyperion, he's a character I hope to one day write a comic about. He & a small group of other people suddenly gain powers & decide to be superheroes, they all pretty much have just one gimmick power & are otherwise normal people. Hyperion can see a little bit into the future. So it makes him able to dodge most attacks & generally be at advantage. If too much is happening it's harder for him to focus though, Especially when facing a lot of gunshots, there's too many, too fast to track & he has a hard time knowing which ones are future bullets & which ones aren't, etc.
His hero name is Hyperion & he's the leader of my hometown heroes
Yankee Girl. A public domain super heroine I found from 1947. With my DM's permission I converted her into a character for our Champions game and started using her when we added the 2nd characters we run for the game. She became my second. I dont know a ton about her as I havent had a chance to read all her content that exists but I play her like the typical vintage heroine who's patriotic and with what little ive read of her personality showing a bit. I have taken some creative liberty with her and did change some things about her but she's ran as a heroine from the 1940s in modern times with the rest of the team in our sessions.
>>96157648This is Viridian Valor, his power is Kinetic Dampening. Punches from the biggest guys feel like a newborn kitten, small caliber bullets can be stopped by sports pads, high powered rifles can still be a threat. He sort of comports himself like a knight & idolizes Orlando Furioso.
>>96157715This character changes her name a LOT, she goes by Pink Justice, Impact Girl, Power Princess, the list goes on. I mostly just call her Impact Girl. She's a cheerful cute girl with the power of Kinetic Amplification, this means this pint sized cheerleader can break every bone in your body, leap to the roof of tall buildings etc. Her & Viridian Valor get married eventually. She worries a lot about hurting people by accident but it's no threat to V & his charming hero-knight schtick always makes her feel protected & safe when it's usually her having to save others,

After WW2 there was a man who inexplicably became the world's first super hero. He was superhumanly strong, he was faster than the blink of an eye, & no weapon on earth could seem to harm him. In his younger days the people gave him the moniker "Golden Boy" & while he grew oil to his late 30's he would make jokes about maybe taking the name Golden "Man" or something, the name stuck. He was the darling of the western world & a true hero of the people, he would often say that he just tried to be a good neighbor like Jesus says in the Bible. He was always public about his anxieties that people would hate him because he couldn't be everywhere at once. Still people held him in the highest esteem.
Until the civil rights movements & communism began to sweep the world. Suddenly disenfranchised people everywhere would make snide comments like "ubermench" & how it was awfully convenient that a tall blue eyed blonde somehow had these unnatural powers. They would run smear campaigns of truly hateful things to tarnish his Golden image. They cried out that if people were to be equal then everyone should be a super man. Golden Boy tried to appease them. He tried to reason with them, & eventually capitalized to their demands to study his powers with the goal of replicating them in others.
A few years after he was murdered by a communist terrorist organization, & thus began a very fierce war over his corpse to gather genetic material & synthesize his powers. Suddenly after a few gene therapies other super powered people began to emerge. Living political weapons, super terrorists, super soldiers, super criminals, & just a few super heroic people standing against a wave of opportunistic hate.
>>96159465Unknown to the public was fact that Golden Boy had a wife, & known only to a very few group of friends was the fact that he had a son. A son who had all of his father's self same powers, perhaps even stronger & numerous too. Though pressured to keep his identity secret, he eventually steps out into the light to bring a world on the brink of war. No one but the perpetrators know how the original Golden Boy was slain, & while this new generation of evil exalted by his own father's blood is not as strong or invulnerable as he is, they outnumber him in spades.
>>96159493Curiously enough, the miracle that created the original Golden Boy has struck again. A young Japanese American girl has found herself flush with her own unique super powers even though no one in her family had ever been altered by Golden Biy's genes. She is the love interest of the new Golden Boy, as they both set out to investigate their origins & the c9nsequences of theselfish
No one quite knows what made the elves go south, into the wild and untamed occident. The image of an elven knight, her cape billowing in the breeze as she beholds her future home, remains powerful imagery even so many thousands of years later. As is the great steppe were mammoth roamed, the clear fresh waters of the inland sea and its endless islands, and the dark woods of now extinct trees. All gone.
While to the elves it is nostalgic, to the men they conquered it is a reminder of how long they suffered under these women.

>James Corvin was a renowned history professor at a prestigious southern university. Growing increasingly bitter at societal changes and believing tradition was being eroded by modernity, he fixated on a distorted interpretation of heritage, order, and legacy. After losing his position due to increasingly radical teachings, Elijah disappeared into obscurity. During his isolation, Elijah stumbled upon an ancient artifact deep in a forgotten Confederate battleground; an ornate silver talisman shaped like a crow. The talisman bonded with him, awakening latent abilities and empowering his twisted convictions. Embracing his new identity as White Crow, Elijah began a crusade to restore what he perceived as "lost honor," using his newfound powers to terrorize communities he blames for social decline, ultimately seeking a world shaped in his own narrow image.
