I want to design a fantasy setting where adventurers pilot giant steampunky(?) mechs powered by not!Warpstone after an alien moon began raining the stuff over the planet, bringing madness, mutations and magic to a world that had previously known none. Tell me why I shouldn't, /tg/. You can't.

Cool, sounds fun, go do the actual work and come back and show it to us.

You've posted about this at least 4 times now. Work on your art.

You're going to have to actually do the work, and it will take more work than usual because of the 3.5->5e conversion. Good luck

What, like a race of female ratfolk tomboy engineers who specialize in salvaging broken tech and rebuilding it into cheap but effective mechs and exo-suits?

Current rough outline for the setting: The world started as a Low Fantasy at best world; humans only, maybe Victorian/pre-World War 1 tech, and then came the "Dark Star" (name pending) which began raining Delerium (probably should rename) over the planet. These brought waves of madness, mutation and unreality even in places that weren't flat-out levelled by giant meteors of knock-off Warpstone, resulting in toxic haze-covered craters, and armies of mutants & zombies.

150 years later, magic is an accepted fact of life, a number of new non-human sapiences have arisen from stable mutations and are tenuously aligned against the abomination tides, and Delerium-powered magitek is being utilized to create guns, powered armor and battle mechs.

...So, basically Mordheim with giant robots in the background, I guess?

Anyway, not sure where to start fleshing this idea see out...
