In my own space setting, I set up a semi-political campaign,
The players were the Handmaidens to an alien empress. In this society, the Handmaidens are always taken from noble families, basically from birth. They served not only as maids and tenders but also as diplomats and assassins. And when an empress dies or steps down, a Handmaiden is chosen to replace her.
The whole race had an imperial china vibe to it.
The party was all women, and they ate this shit up.
Assassinations, power plays, Planetary invasions. lies and deception. Forbidden romance.
It was a ton of fun, but you have to like Political thrillers to make one.
