Anyone else feeling like digimon is kinda hitting power creep ceiling levels? Games ending by turn 4 way more often and a bad start is pretty unforgiving, to not say impossible to recover from against a good deck. Feel like every good deck nowadays is designed to pop off at turn 3 and then threaten lethal the turn if you cant answer it, but it can be turn 2 in a good day. Felt like that around bt-12/13 but the advent of absolute immunities and then Aces warped the game around it cause you need to able to answer them. Now we've come full circle and decks are also able to consistently answer boards while being superfast. Megiddra isnt that all different in speed from bt12 Beelze pre-ban in its prime, the difference is the latter would fucking die to magnaX or immune ace threats on the field, whereas megiddra can dig its way around them. Wonder if they'll introduce a new mechanic soon or they'll just make do with another year of patching what's too ahead of the curve every once in a while

Having an On Play effect makes it work better with EX6 Chaos Mode, but the previous Satan Mode screws your opponent over just by existing while this one needs to attack.
It might also work better with Lucemon X by attacking (twice) then digivolving into something with protection and a EoT effect.

Both Satan Modes technically already have protection in the form of putting Larva in the breeding area. Go check the last several sets to see what boss you would like because every deck has some sorta bs control nowadays. The one youre looking at right now is a pretty solid deck since it has redirections+top stack removal while you get your pieces to get that card you like out.

Cloaked Demon may have been designed by Toei in the first place, and at the very least the anime version of it has a different color scheme than the "official" design. Red hood vs black hood, black vestments vs white, green design on the front vs gold, purple shoes vs red, and the amulet are entirely different colors.

Which is funny, because the same thing happened to Demon's other form. It was designed by the V-Tamer illustrator and has a different color scheme when he colors it vs when Bandai does.

DM Machine is definitely weaker. You rarely Assemble, so you have to have a stack ready to be able to go into your wincon. And since you don't really want to play 5s that don't have the trait, you miss out on dedigi protection, which is a major loss in some matchups. The only thing it has over Purple base is that you can get large facedown stacks for your level 5s.

I think the BT22 Omni deck works better if you ignore Tai & Matt entirely. Focus on Nokia and run 4 Mirei and 4 Yuugo to search/play her more easily. Only run 1-2 of the BT17 level 6s and Omni, they're backup in case you can't find the BT22 versions.
Currently testing out a version that uses Tsumemon as the egg and also runs EX4 Agumon and Gabumon, seems pretty good so far.

BT16 MaloMyotismon is pretty decent. The new Myotismon gives you a reason to let Malo pop himself on digivolve if you want to pull an Oikawa out of your trash like BT8 Myotismon did, but with a main body that actually does something in the deck's new play-level-5s style. As long as you don't self-destruct him, he still gives you value if your opponent can protect their targeted Digimon, or if they don't leave you any unsuspended targets. The value loop that he, the Arukenimon & Mummymon Tamer, and any BT16 or EX10 Arukenimon or Mummymon Digimon make lets you pop your opponent's Security on both turns if your opponent can't remove the Arukenimon or Mummymon it plays that gets marked for deletion.

A new Venom would be nice but what the deck really needs most (besides the non-Ace Myotismon they've already covered) is a way to play through non-deletion removal.

Should be all Aquatic at the very least, mostly Yao's line to maximise searchability. Floodgates depending on your locals, I was using Otamamon for a bit pre-BT22 but nobody at my store is playing RK or Xros anymore
I use Xiquemon, Lanamon, MegaSeadramon and MetalSeadramon at 2 each.
Lanamon in particular is really neat: in addition to being a searcher that removes floodgates, she can make use of your multiple Yao and emblems to comeback stronger than a Scramble ever could. Plus if it does get deleted you can just use another emblem to play the tamer.
