Frankly I'm not a fan of how passive some of the AMG sculpts look, I prefer when my mini have their blasters or lightsabers pointed at the enemy, but Dooku doing a fencing salute seems fitting.
Doubly so since his new profile emphasizes his Separatist Head of State a lot more.

It seems like whenever a droid is manufactured with above-average intelligence,they turn to crime/murder. (4LOM or the IG-series).

I don't think he was strong-armed into using the Martez sisters at all. According to Sam Witwer the Ahsoka underworld arc had multiple iterations. I believe at one point it featured a younger Lando working with Nyx similar to Trace and Rafa hence the laundromat Rafa owns still having Calrissian on the Aurebesh signs and their ship being called the Black Ace in the concept art instead of the Silver Angel, which is more gambling themed to fit Lando. Filoni replaced the characters because he'd already sort of used Nyx as a springboard to create Ezra, he mentions the link between those characters when presenting the footage of Nyx at Celebration. And then he put Lando in Rebels as well.

They also cut the original opening of the episode where Ahsoka gets ripped off by a speeder salesman before she crashes it.

Anyone actually play the West End system recently? It seems neat.

The concept of "Inquisitors" was not a thing when the original arc was made all the way back in 2011. While Barriss was originally supposed to kill herself in her cell by the end of it, and that was cut because Filoni wanted to do something more with her, I seriously doubt that in 2011 Filoni had the idea that she would be an Inquisitor as we know them now. She was not in Rebels probably for the same reason Maul having visions of Savage in the desert did not make it in, even though they wanted to do it: too much of a deep cut for the DisneyXD kiddies, who hadn't seen Clone Wars, and there was not enough time to explain these dynamics to them, because we need to waste most of the episodes on retarded Ezra shenanigans. If you look at Filoni's sketch for the arc you can see that Nyx basically looks like Han and has the same blaster so yeah. And this was what Witwer was saying to fans who were mad about Nyx being replaced because apparently he'd already replaced another character in the script (Han).

Han would've still been a kid. It makes no sense for him to appear in this arc. Lucas originally wanted Han to appear on Kashyyyk in Episode III, and he would've still been a 10 y.o. kid. This arc was supposed to have romance, and I don't see 16-17 y.o. Ahsoka having a romance with a 10 y.o. kid. And Filoni said many times back in the day, that he would never put kid Han in the show unless Lucas demanded it, like he did with Chewbacca. And while Chewbacca kinda made sense, Han appearing doesn't make sense at all. So it's a completely nonsensical assumption. And I also doubt Lando was ever in it. This is nothing but conjecture that could be based on a simple easter egg — nothing more. Witwer only said that "it's not final until it's final", but it WAS final back in the day, or as close to final as possible. It was fully voiced and complete story reels of an entire arc, which would be reviewed by Lucas and sent into post-production once he was happy with it. At best, there would be some small scenes cut/added, some dialogue rewritten. Creating entirely new two characters and replacing the one that had already been fully written, modeled and voiced would have NEVER happened. So Witwer is being disingenuous here. Fans were mad because Martez sisters fucking sucked, and Ahsoka's dynamic with Nyx from that one story reel clip alone was better than anything with the sisters in the final arc. I don't necessarily HATE the final arc as much as other people do, but I am sure the original arc was so much better than what we ended up getting.

I hate that the bounty hunter droid in the lineup during the original Star Wars movie was turned into a secret droid supremacist ready to eliminate all the organics once he took control of the Death Star right before it blew up - stopping his plans. The EU (and modern Star Wars) has been doing that, making every named and even every unnamed cameo character who shows up for just a few seconds on screen into some major character with 2-3 novels about them.

The pdf for STRP mentions a source book called "Tales of the Jedi" but I don't see it in the media fire. Was that never uploaded or am I just blind to it?

I lucked out and chose Imp Agent for my first character, so I probably have a rosier recollection of SWTOR than most, including how it portrayed the Sith Empire. That is to say, it's a clusterfuck of sadistic and infighting nobles that somehow manages to function because as they're fighting over each other up the ladder, they are technically, collectively all moving up. Although you also have a group of competent patriots who are holding that ladder steady at the bottom. I imagine if the the story ever continued they would eventually see the same fate as many tyrannical autocracies - most competent people have been liquidated and it basically implodes.

On my RP server, Dromund Kaas was one of my favourite locations. It had a supremely comfy atmosphere, some of my favourite quests, and a small community that would congregate at the bar to rant about the Republic. Because most people played Sith, and I played my character as a doctor who was happy to be the willing sidekick, I tended to get roped into some pretty cool RP sessions, like running the medical bay during a server-wide Hoth battle arc.

I ran a store game where I kind of imposed a Gozanti on the group because I wanted them to have something big enough to justify people walking out of the ship we've never seen before (to justify new players coming to the table), but also small enough that they wouldn't be lugging around a capital ship. They had the chance to name it and went with "Filthy Acts At A Reasonable Price," but abbreviated it as the "D4C."

It worked out well. That thing I planned for happened when an engineer crawled out of the airducts to fix the ship up, and also their IG pilot droid disappeared into a broom closet.

The running gag ended up being that it was too damn big anyway and it just slammed into everything. And, because everyone contributed to naming and describing the ship, the players forgot that the ship was a loner for the Hutt they worked for and started claiming ownership of the thing. Really great roleplay warm-ups came out of this argument. It was great.

I find it more amazing that more villains aren't written like Palpatine. He's the smartest villain in movie history (Rise of Skywalker) cause he knows how to take a loss. Because he ensures that a loss usually won't set him back all that much.

The problem with Booby Feet is the portrayal of the main character. People like Boba because he's cool and mysterious and made out to be a big badass. As >>96252520 notes, he is none of those things in the show that carries his own name. It's designed to cater to Boba Fett fans, except it portrays him in a way they hate, so they're the ones you hear the most from when the show gets brought up.

As for Ahsoka, I think there's a lot of fatigue with the character. Her presence was acceptable and to some extent expected in TCW, she was introduced in the movie that started the show after all. Her reappearance in Rebels was questionable, but people were willing to forgive it at the time because TCW had ended unceremoniously and Rebels was ultimately about a small part of the pre-ANH Rebellion. Her reappearance from the World Between Worlds is where I think goodwill really started to dry up. Resurrection is always controversial, and while you can cope as much as you'd like about her not really being dead after the fight with Vader, it sure *feels* like a resurrection. Then she shows up in the Mandalorian, making her first transition to live action for no particularly good reason. It is never justified to people increasingly sick of seeing this character appear everywhere. Then we get Tales of the Jedi, where the first half of the show is about Dooku, and the second half is about her. This seems to imply an equality of importance with an established character who actually appears in the movies, and I think becomes the bridge too far that launches the real anti-Ahoska crusade. By the time of her show, you have a cohort of hardcore Ahsoka haters, more virulent than the folks who hated her in her TCW days for just being the typical annoying teenager character. The show turns out to have some pretty serious flaws, and they're delighted to rub that in everyone's faces at every opportunity because they cannot escape this character they hate.

My problem with Star Wars discourse is that it seems to be much more about THE NARRATIVE than it is about any sort of actual quality of any given show. I saw people trying to pull this same stunt with Andor Season 2, but thankfully it didn't stick. I was hoping with Andor Season 1 we had moved past it- but my guess there is people just had zero expectations for the show period, so it being so good caught the grifters off guard and they couldn't move fast enough to create a narrative around it. With higher expectations for S2 they made the attempt it just completely rebounded.

Personally I'd like to see her try to make her own Jedi Order- simply because it makes way more sense for HER to do it- as someone who apprenticed under Anakin and Obi-Wan than for Rey- someone who barely got tutored by Luke, to do it.
