Does Jumper have horns? If so, how big are they?
>>96196091No but maybe horns could be cool on a form. Just some small or moderate sized ones though.

>>96196171a pure willy sucker
>>96196091no, horns on a humanoid are dumb
less dumb than stuff like wings, or even worse headwings, but still
they're okay in non-humanoid altforms
>>96196232On a long enough timescale on a chain a physical form just becomes for aesthetics anyway. So rock that dumbness if you want I say.
>>96196293Remember when JumpChain was about men with gun, Pokemon and sometimes lightsabers?
>>96196232>less dumb than stuff like wingsI'm sorry you hate every media depiction of angels and demons, anon. That must be rough.
>>96196795Those were good times that I do like to revisit occasionally, I admit. Though a lot of different flavors of chain have emerged.
>>96196825wings just can't make simultaneous aesthetic and physical sense on a humanoid, sorry, you'd need to have them connect down close to your hips to fly with them naturally, meanwhile if you're not flying with them naturally then they're just vestigial
>>96196856Counterpoint: they look cool.
>>96196910>they can either look cool or make sense, not both>counterpoint: they look coolnot very sharp are you
>>96196856>you'd need to have them connect down close to your hips to fly with them naturallyThere was actually a setting that did this, where the winged humanoids of the world had them connected around the small of their backs instead of up near the shoulderblades. Wish I could remember what property that was now.
It's a nice morning and Hell has disappeared. What are you currently doing, /jc/?

Last episode on the jumpchain "End Jump to Oriko: Tatsuya x Oriko Magica"
Tatsuya's Jumps: Homeworld 'Oriko Magica aftermath' after an alternate Oriko killed a civilian Madoka -> World of Pokemon -> Universal Century - > After Colony.
Oriko's Jumps: Homeworld Shirome City distinct from the Oriko that killed Madoka's: World of Pokemon -> After Colony.
After the conclusion of Mariemaia's War, Tatsuya (Physical Age 23, Mental Age 33) lives with Yurako (Physical Age 9 Mental Age 23, no Soul Gem contract, never met Kirika, which he learned through the Psychoframe combined with the Zero System was merely the alias of Oriko Mikuni using the late name of her mother, who killed his sister Madoka Kaname in his home timeline - but even Yurako herself is distinct from the Oriko who killed Madoka in his home timeline) as her adopted older brother, living together in an apartment. Comrades in Operation Meteor alongside Heero, Duo and Quatre, Tatsuya in the RX-Kamihama, a UC Mobile Suit upgraded with Zero System, Yurako in the WMS-02 Sotria (an all-incom semi-UC MS that stuck out like a sore thumb in AC) the wars of AC have drawn to an end.
Tatsuya cries in his sleep in loneliness. He longs for another rematch with Champion Iris but alas he can't reach her. The loss of Madoka Kaname 30 mental years ago still sticks with him.
Yurako, for her part (she had a dream in her home jump that Tatsuya shot her) doesn't know about Tatsuya's demons. She herself does not know that she is distinct from the killer Oriko who had changed Tatsuya's life before his first unwanted jump in the storm of Walpurgisnacht.
One day, the former Operation Meteor pilot Tatsuya leaves the apartment and is never heard of again (He tells himself he doesn't know how to be the older sibling - he only knew how to be the younger one). Yurako, who was ambivalent about Tatsuya given her nightmare about him killing her, is crestfallen at the disappearance of her older adoptive brother.
>4
Tatsuya flees to some unknown part of the solar system far beyond Mars to just rot in an asteroid base until his time in AC is over, years passing. Yurako never finds him.

>>96196795Nah, but it's not so bad. All the Fate and Exalted is elsewhere now, so other than cultivators and the occasional pol talk, we're back to waifus and aesthetics.
I think we lost a lot when the culture turned away from perk combos, so much of our autist brains love pretending to be clever like that.

I'm interested in a magic chain right now, what magic systems and magic boosting perks do you recommend?
Bonus points, any ideas for magic you can pick up early on in relatively low power settings but can punch up to beat enemies in significantly stronger settings with some effort and luck?
How dangerous are the Dark Cloud setting and the Geneforge setting?
>>96199138Hero BBS
>>96199212>the Geneforge setting? Not that dangerous if you stay out the way, but it can get pretty powerful
>>96199078>I think we lost a lot when the culture turned away from perk combos, so much of our autist brains love pretending to be clever like that.Well, since it's "Impregnation Edition", here's something from my latest chain:
>The Sims 4 - VicariousGain in skills when your children do
>ExWoD - Yes, GrandmotherGood at raising and teaching children, your descendants revere and respect you
>ExWoD - Blood Breeds TrueYour children gain innate talent proportionate to your skills
>Generic Xianxia - Many Children Blessed LifeGain talent and special physiologies of your children at their birth, their cultivation contributes to your own
>Goblin Slayer - Little Green DevilsYour children gestate in days and grow to adulthood within weeks
>Dragon Ball GT - The New HeroesEach generation of your descendants learns and grows in power at ten times the rate of the previous one
>Defiler Wings - Passing the Torch of TerrorAbility to rebirth yourself as one of your offspring
>Defiler Wings - Mother of MonstersSelectively pass on the traits of anyone you've ever fucked on your offspring
>Thailand Mythology - Womb-BornSeveral additional methods of impregnation, including ones you could use indirectly and passively
>Thailand Mythology - Shaped BirthsRebirth anyone else as your offspring
>Factorio - Genetic ImprintingYour progeny always recognize you as their progenitor and you recognize yours, strengthens any other perks that apply to your progeny.
>Factorio - Absolute proprioceptionShare the senses of your progeny
>Fate Japan - Vermilion OniCount as a full and top level exceptional member of whatever species you have blood of
>Metroid - Part of a Whole"You are not the product of your DNA or your genetic makeup. Rather, that is a product of you, and you are still yourself."
>Adam and Gaia - Beloved FatherAll your children love you and are fiercely loyal
>Adam and Gaia - Don't Let Life Die OutImpregnate pretty much anything, no issues with genetic disease or inbreeding.
>>96198001nta but it's been canon forever that that "the war" was a thing in Pokemon anime.
>>96199212Geneforge is generally just a sort of medevial fantasy setting so long as you don't go poking around in Shaper ruins or enclaves... which might be somewhat difficult to avoid given the default assumption iirc is that you're a Shaper involved in the events of the first game. The big dangers are groups of feral Creations that may try to eat you and potentially interacting with something that kills you without you even realizing its there like magical radiation or magically created super viruses, though generally speaking it's not hard to figure out where that stuff is at on account of them being almost exclusively found in Shaper outposts in the middle of blighted wastelands (hence why the Shapers put the outposts there). The really big issue though is that even assuming that the "protagonist" Shaper is off doing things and the games all go according to canon you're still looking at massive continent spanning wars during your time there once the drakon (rogue creations that are basically dragonoids with shaping powers) pop up.
>>96199595That was exactly 2k characters and covers the main parts of the breeding combo. There's more but it diverges into things like simply having more inheritable shit or periodically eating the kids for a powerup while they are reborn more powerful themselves.
>>96199138Frieren is pretty good, its not too powerful, but it got some neat hax that is difficult to overcome outside of the setting, like the basic attack spell is reverse engineered from a demon sage's killing curse, it's basically a beam attack that goes through anything and pierces almost any defensive magic and vaporizes its target and thhe basic defensive spell was made specifically to counter it which makes it also able to block almost every spell or physical attack, though it too has weaknesses like having a limit of how much fore it can handle.
The system also has the advantage that it stacks preetty welel wih your lifespan, as you can train your mana without limit, so longer lived mages can always have more mana, and likewise you can continuously refine and improve your spells.
Otherwise Harry potter is also pretty good, since it doesen't really have any cost and got a number of neat abilites like at will teleportation, various really powerful mind affecting spells, the killing curse, space expansion spells, and even some moree conceptual abilitees like magically hiding secrets to make locations nearly unreachable or een cursing things like job positions.
Tsukihime has some neat perks even if the magic the jump offers is rather lackluster, like one capston makes your spells x100 cheaper and the other lets you cast them much faster.
I also like Dragon's crown which is a relatively low power setting, since it has the focus perk that lets you fully recover your mana by concentrating for a few seconds.
>>96199138Depending on how you define 'low power' having the time to perform ritual magic will stack the odds in your favor. Curses, blessings, summoned minions, one-use items, applying effects to an area ahead of time, etc.
oWoD sorcerer jump has simple but very useful magic. Dresden Files has lots of ritual magic. Fate jumps has bounded fields, which can do any number of things over a wide area. The Sims looks low-level at a glance but has potions that can grant eternal life and gems that make you temporarily unkillable. Depending on how you look at lore vs gameplay, elder scrolls is great for magical items of all kinds.
>>96199138I really like the Labyrinth it's mostly illusion and stuff but if you are clever you can do a lot with it.
Do you eat your children who inherit your abilities to absorb their power?
>>96200501no i just put them in a big jar to distill them into magic booze
>>96199948>it's basically a beam attack that goes through anything and pierces almost any defensive magic and vaporizes its target and thhe basic defensive spell was made specifically to counter it which makes it also able to block almost every spell or physical attack, though it too has weaknesses like having a limit of how much fore it can handle.Zooltrak is one of the most wanked thing I ever saw, solitair tanks it simply by having enough mana, not even using defenses, her mana is so dense that normal Zooltrak can't surpass it. Zooltrak is a good attack spell, wich in-universe means had difficulty handling in the past, it's not the unbeatable one-hit kill people pretend it is.
>>96200609Solitär intentionally controlls her mana to defend against spells and to attack, its not something that is just passively the case.
And yeah defeending against it is totally possible in other settings, but its definitelly something that can punch up extremly high when used against people unaware of its properties.
Also if you're skilled enough even then you can adjust your Zoltraak to even pierce those defenses like how Fern increases the densitty of the mana in her Zoltraak to pierce Solitär's defenses, or ho Frieren and Lernen use a black version of the spell that can even pierce the defensive spell.
It's still a really useful spell if used properly.
>>96199078Jumpchain became less balanced so perk combos stopped mattering
it's a natural result of turning away from quicksilvers holy word
>>96200671Inter-jump balance was always a bad idea.
>>96200501I did originally but it has since evolved into a process where they're constantly being devoured and reborn in a manner that's not even noticeable unless you look for it with certain special senses.
Hey all. Sleep schedules been a little trash lately and the scope of writing kind ballooned out for what I wanted to do. Originally I wanted to do a whole life from jumpers perspective at the sect. But I wanted to post what I did write. for it.
6:29 am
"For in the end, itself is the reason why. Remember its important that-"
6:30 am
"GET UP! ITS TIME TO GET UP!" A voice yells. Tearing Venti from his sleep. blinking the blurry, red headed image of his roommate slowly becomes clear looking down at him.
She shakes him lightly by the shoulders. "Wake up or your miss breakfast! Missing breakfast means no energy for morning practice!"
"I'm up I'm up! No need to shake me!" Venti mumbles rolling out of bed
"Meh...It's to early for this." The human continues, sliding open his nearby dresser, putting on a one of the simple white tunics and accompanying pants he'd been given since coming here, cinched by a plain brown belt.
"These always feel a little strange to wear." Venti comments as the sleepiness shakes off. Stretching a bit and Sliding on his boots.
"How so?"
His monkey tailed roommate asks curious ever energetic. Satisfied for now that he was up.
"Well sometimes I wonder if its appropriate or not to wear. Or not really my right to."
"...What?" Ritsuka asks confused tilting her head. "Your... a member of the sect. You were given the clothes. Why wouldn't it be appropriate?"
"Well.. it's not really my culture is it?" Venti asks. "Feels like I'm being disrespectful sometimes wearing it."
1/3
>>96200875"Venti your being stupid." The red head says simply crossing her arms.
"Its just clothes. You're not disrespecting anyone. Lots of people out of Hyrule have joined the sect before and no one's ever complained about them wearing our clothes. Not when their one of us."
She suddenly thumps him on the back a little to hard accidentally sending him sprawling to the floor.
Oh- Sorry. Little too much force there. Anyway- No more dumb stuff out of you this morning, anymore and I'll make sure you do double the practices with me today. Now come on and lets go eat!" The body cultivator turns strolling out of the bedroom.
"Alright, I'm coming!" Venti grunts getting up. Her words lingering in his mind as he follows ritsuka into the daylight.
9:00 AM
"Okay good! now hold it... hold it." Ritsuka says looking over her roommate's stance as he holds Hearths ember, Watching the invisible aura around him.
"Well... its slipping juuuust a bit but your managing to keep focus. More practice will help get it steady." She nods in approval.
"Thats... good." Venti grunts but grins a sense of hard won satisfaction blooming in his chest. Even as he kept trying to keep the ki packed in his body. Trying to keep a steady pace of breath.
"So let's see if you can hold the hearths ember when I do this..." The senior novice says suddenly poking him in the ribs.
The sudden touch is enough to break his intense focus. The ki held by him coiling off and dissipating into the Aether around them. Feeling to venti a bit like letting out a long held breath. He can't help but sigh in relief at the sudden break.
"Well... its hard to maintain focus when you suddenly do that." He grumbles lightly.
"Exactly." Ritsuka says simply with a grin. "Thats the next step."
>>96200875Venti stretches a bit. Taking the opportunity to not have to hold the initial pose to channel the energy so vital to this cultivation method. "Oh? I thought the next step was the uh... what did the teacher call it. The burning ignot?"
"Well yeah technically but there's a lot more mini steps before that if you want to actually feasibly use it. Focus and control and stuff." Ritsuka says waving a hand in the air.
"Stuff we can train wiiiiiiith?" She looks at venti as if testing him for the answer.
"...The Hearth's ember?"
"You got it! You are a smart one, when your not being a idiot about dumb things. No wonder your doing the egghead cultivation thing to. " The monkey girl nods brightly.
"Oh don't remind me on that. Thats going even slower then this." Venti mumbles sheepishly, rubbing his face. "Haven't even been able to do the first technique. Least with God-body I can do some practice some of it."
"Well don't look at me for advice there." Ritsuka shrugs.
"My first day with that I barely stayed awake for it and I didn't get a thing. It's not for me. We can't all be sages though and understand cultivation innately though."
"Yeah fair enough. Patience is a virtue I hear is said." Venti grins.
"So... when would you think I'd be ready to move onto the next proper step?" He wonders as he tries to get into position again.
"Well...lets see" She walks around him again peering at his posture. Poking him in the ribs again but thankfully this time it didn't entirely disrupt the technique.
"When you can hold the ember without actually needing to stance is a good goal to go for. When you can rock around and strike... lets say a dozen wooden boards in a row and actually snap them in half. without losing focus. Then we can move onto the next technique. How long that'll be... I got no clue.
3/4 (was bigger then I thought on initial stuff.)
>>96200917Hmm... that sounds like one of those things thats simple in theory but not so much in practice." He raises a hand. Trying to keep focus. The aura flickering around him but still he could feel it holding on.
"Pretty much! So that just means you need to practice plenty. Ritsuka nods. Energetically.
"Now lets lets go. You got until lunch to cultivate and then I'm off for my own training... Just wait till you hear about the third stage. Thats the really hard stuff.
4/4 (and done)
>>96200692only because it's an un-managed community project
a single person balancing all their jumps with each other and something like intended progression could work
>>96200875>and the scope of writing kind ballooned out for what I wanted to do.I know the feeling.
>>96200891>Oh- Sorry. Little too much force there.I choose to believe she’s finished the first stage.
>>96200917>The monkey girl nods brightly.I’m imagining that when she’s staying in one place while supervising you, she puts part of her tail on the floor, picks her legs up into a cross-legged position, and holds herself up with her tail.
>>96201007But that would force everyone to do things like following a specific jump order. Or you would have to make multiple versions of the same jump depending on what point of the chain you are.
It's pretty much unfeasible.

>>96201597That is a smol venti.
>>96201621This is what happens when you overdose on longevity pills.
The older ladies in the sect keep trying to slip longevity pills in your meals from then on to enjoy more Smol Venti
>>96201587>Well that whole scene is god danm sweet.Glad you like it. Given the tone of the sect, I could see cultivators with no family getting adopted by others as being a fairly normal thing.
>But I guess it really depends on how long it takes for the longevity to actually set in once someone starts cultivating. Whether its near the end or more towards the middle.Around the end of the first stage, I believe.
>>96201639Eh thats a bit to smol.
>>96201642>Glad you like it. Given the tone of the sect, I could see cultivators with no family getting adopted by others as being a fairly normal thing.True. It makes me almost wonder a bit on Ritsukas backstory now a bit. Haven't decided that.
>Around the end of the first stage, I believe.Hm makes sense. Maybe I'll just write that idea off. iirc heartpieces kind of give a small lifespan boost as well. So maybe I'll lean into that. Throw a few more at him in a few years.
>>96201466It's kind of bittersweet that due to my timezone, whenever a new puzzle pops up the autistic FL playerbase solves it so quickly the devs have apparently just given up and created a knucklehead's solution to it. Anyway, if you're still stumped you can Map the threads of mishapen time in Fallen London, where everything is as it should be, and collect seven of the Shards of Almost-Ordered Time you refine from the Fragments of Distorted Time you get to just force Tuesday into existence from the tab where something is deeply wrong with London.
Also we all sound fucking schizo to anyone who doesn't play the game.
Is there anywhere I can get soul-based telekinesis?
>>96201723Evangelion, my guy
>>96201735No, I'm pretty sure that was never a thing in Evangelion
>>96201745And it's definitely not on offer in the jump
>>96201745Ineffable is pretty open-ended, I wouldn't say it's out of the question compared to say-a goddamn localised dirac sea, or whatever the hell Armisael was doing.
>>96201751Again, Ineffable. Use a little creativity instead of adhering to canon like a bible.
>>96201771>>96201799Ineffible enhances already existing capabilities. It doesn't add new things, just enhances what you've got in weird ways
>>96201817Just enhance the AT-Field so it can telekinetically levitate things, dude. Did you miss Kaworu randomly flying and tearing through things in the anime? Christ this is like the CAN TELEKINESIS CUT bullshit.
>>96201829... I think I'd prefer getting soul-based telekinesis from somewhere where I won't have to wank a perk into doing almost the exact opposite of what it's supposed to do
>>96201723Teen Titans, iirc that's how Raven's worked.
>>96201751>>96201817>Advanced AT Field Functions>Lifting Field: You may use your AT field to lift objects, or push and pull them in relation to you. This action takes a moment of concentration however. You can lift things as big as you/your Eva with moderate effort. Larger things take much more time and concentration. It's with the stuff about Evangelions instead of with the Angel perks but it's part of the AT Field Mastery freebies
>>96201866>Teen TitansOh, yeah. I forgot that one. Thanks anon
>It's with the stuff about Evangelions instead of with the Angel perks but it's part of the AT Field Mastery freebiesAh, neat. Thanks anon
>>96201864I'm vaguely irritated you feel some sort of virtuous endorphin rush from completely ignoring canon things a perk is based on, but it's technically your problem not mine. Anyway, you can get Ermac's gimmick in Mortal Kombat. Which includes telekinesis. You boring, small-minded, unimaginative person.
>>96201723A semblance in RWBY
>>96201881>I'm vaguely irritated you feel some sort of virtuous endorphin rush from completely ignoring canon things a perk is based onIt's based on the mindrape angels
That's why the perk specifically only enhances the effects of your already existing Illusion, Psychic, and Communication abilities, and only while in your Angel form
>600cp - Ineffable (Discount Pattern Blue, Requires Non-Euclidean, Requires AT-Field Mastery) Attaining a higher, more eschatonic form, you shed such petty means as mere physicalefforts. This perk improves your various communication, psychic and illusion based effects when in Angel form, evocative of Arael and Leliel. You may not be able to create a Dirac Sea, but the same general ‘strangeness’ is available to you, in a manner evocative to your nature and ego. What you lose in direct combat ability, you make up for in a strange, eclectic enhancement to your powers. In human form, you gain a form of advanced telepathy, facilitating communication as well as remote listening and viewing. With a bit of effort, you can transcend the need for formal language, communicating directly with someone, so long as they have some form of soul. You cannot take this perk alongside Unassailable.... Actually, I just realized that there doesn't seem to be any way to actually get any powers that Ineffible would actually enhance while in the Evangelion jump
>>96201680>True. It makes me almost wonder a bit on Ritsukas backstory now a bit. Haven't decided that.It could be interesting to have her be the child of working class mortals from a big city, in contrast to how Alicia is from a royal branch line and Midna is from a clan.
>iirc heartpieces kind of give a small lifespan boost as well. So maybe I'll lean into that. Throw a few more at him in a few years. Now that you’re a part of the sect, you would be able to use their equipment for making Pieces of Heart, so you’d be able to form Heart Containers much quicker then you could before.
>>96201899... I can't believe I forgot about RWBY. Thanks anon
>>96201908>... Actually, I just realized that there doesn't seem to be any way to actually get any powers that Ineffible would actually enhance while in the Evangelion jumpWell excuse me for assuming the perk would do some fucking thing and that the jumpmaker was just bad at articulating it, instead of doing what you do and assuming a 600 CP perk does nothing.
>This perk improves your various communication, psychic and illusion based effects when in Angel form, evocative of Arael and Leliel. >PSYCHIC>You may not be able to create a Dirac Sea, but the same general ‘strangeness’ is available to you, in a manner evocative to your nature and ego>same GENERAL 'STRANGENESS'TL note: Telekinesis is often interpreted as a psychic power.
TL note 2: Several of the mindrape angels exhibit telekinesis.
>>96201916I'm not sure why but I fucking hate you for accepting motherfucking RWBY as an answer while deliberately ignoring all the examples of telekinesis shown in Evangelion just because you care more about an ancient perk's wording than the fucking anime it's jump was based on.
Yes, I am mad.
>>96201908>... Actually, I just realized that there doesn't seem to be any way to actually get any powers that Ineffible would actually enhance while in the Evangelion jumpHow fucking tired am I? You get the powers that Ineffible enhances through Ineffible itself
>In human form, you gain a form of advanced telepathy, facilitating communication as well as remote listening and viewing. With a bit of effort, you can transcend the need for formal language, communicating directly with someone, so long as they have some form of soul. Basically you've got normal telepathy in human form and weird super strong telepathy in angel form.
>>96201932I'm not ignoring the examples of telekinesis in Evangelion. Another anon already suggested the actual option that gives telekinesis and I thanked them for it
I'm just not wanking a perk to do something widely different from what it actually does
>>96201910>It could be interesting to have her be the child of working class mortals from a big city, in contrast to how Alicia is from a royal branch line and Midna is from a clan....You know what. That could work. It'd make her more down to earth a bit. The group would have a wide range of origins a bit. Of course, venti would probably encourage her to stay in contact with them. He knows what its like to lose family even if their not dead and visiting might be fun sometime.
>Now that you’re a part of the sect, you would be able to use their equipment for making Pieces of Heart, so you’d be able to form Heart Containers much quicker then you could before.True, venti is a fairly good alchemist and its less dependent on straight up cultivation base. I could see him making heart containers for himself and others and a bunch of other stuff in general. Maybe thats a part of his tasks or contribution to the sect early on.
...The terrible idea of a (Harmless) prank war starting between venti and ritsuka occurs to me now.
>>96201962>I'm just not wanking a perk to do something widely different from what it actually doesAnd I'm asserting that it does in fact do telekinesis and you just need to stop fixating on certain words while outright ignoring others. Your mother was a hamster and your father smells of elderberries.
>>96202010I don't care if you wanna wank a perk to do something that's wildly beyond what it says it can do AND doesn't fit the perk's thematics. I'm just too autistic to do that myself and prefer getting perks that do what I want them to do by default
>>96202021God, I want to kick you in the shins right now.
>>96202001>...You know what. That could work. It'd make her more down to earth a bit. The group would have a wide range of origins a bit.It could also serve to explain whatever you choose for her Primary and Secondary Professions. Maybe her father is a chef and her mother is what the jump calls a Mechanic. On a side note, I’m imagining Ritsuka’s mother and father as being human, Ritsuka’s tail having come from Heart Container use.
>and visiting might be fun sometime.>Ritsuka: Remember, they’re your parents as well now.>Venti: Will they be fine with this?>Ritsuka: Where do you think I got my outlook on life from?>True, venti is a fairly good alchemist and its less dependent on straight up cultivation base. >>96202035>>96202043Just let them think whatever they want. It's clear neither of you are gonna budge on this shit. But can telekinesis cut?
>>96202070>But can telekinesis cut?Depends on the source and how fine the control is. Raven's Telekinesis likely can't, since it's her shoving her soulmeats into objects. D&D Telekinesis definitely can't, since it's blunt force stuff. Pokemon stuff probably can't, because telekinesis is Psychic and cutting things is Normal
>>96202021>the same general ‘strangeness’ is available to you, in a manner evocative to your nature and egoI think telekinesis would in fact be in line with the perk's thematics, because as an ex-human being manipulating physical objects is probably a constant yet unsung part of your existence, it's just gotta be dressed up a little. Like a numinous extension that isn't quite a physical limb or some type of energy wave radiating from an organ. Or actually literally just telekinesis if you take the Lilithian perk because dude lmao tool user.
>>96202053>It could also serve to explain whatever you choose for her Primary and Secondary Professions. Maybe her father is a chef and her mother is what the jump calls a Mechanic. On a side note, I’m imagining Ritsuka’s mother and father as being human, Ritsuka’s tail having come from Heart Container use.Oh I like that. And it'd mesh well if shes the one that comments on ventis own eventual appearance change to.
Ritsuka: Oh that? Thats normal don't worry. Its a sign your cultivating right.
Profession wise I imagine... well I'm not sure. she's very direct but Chef and mechanic could work though. Venti does like to cook a bit already. Or at least thats his way of befriending people is to offer food a bit.
>Once you graduate, it’d be a decent way to earn a living as well.I imagine there's no true "Graduating" from a sect. Its a sort of lifelong organization but after they leave for a little while after his initial training I could see that. Traveling alchemist/Doctor.
>>and visiting might be fun sometime.>>Ritsuka: Remember, they’re your parents as well now.>>Venti: Will they be fine with this?>>Ritsuka: Where do you think I got my outlook on life from?Well now venti's going to do his best to try and impress them.
>>96202101>Oh I like that. And it'd mesh well if shes the one that comments on ventis own eventual appearance change to.Makes sense.

>>96202140>>Ritsuka: In that case, I’m going to be your teacher in the art of Hylian cuisine as well. You gotta fill the ten-20 years spent getting through stage one somehow. Learning about the world and culture and food and all sorts of other skills is pretty reasonable honestly when your not cultivating.
>In a room with three Ritsukas? You’re going to do your best to try and not get swept away.True but he's going to try. Giving a good impression to your new sisters parents is important.
>>96202163>Learning about the world and culture and food and all sorts of other skills is pretty reasonable honestly when your not cultivating. And a good cook is always welcome.
>>96202187>And a good cook is always welcome.Aye... hm think I'll try and do the midna dream eye awakening scene and then a Christmas bit and then see what else might be in the cards for early stage 1 stuff.
Delving into stuff when he's actually learned a bit more could be cool to. Like Ritsuka shooting arrows at him to test for the burning ignot technique, coming up with his first spells and so on.
Something for soul compass to but thats a bit harder to come up with interesting stuff for stage one. less visible/noticeable if still very important.
>>96202214>Like Ritsuka shooting arrows at him to test for the burning ignot technique, coming up with his first spells and so on.Both will be exciting, but in different ways.
>Something for soul compass to but thats a bit harder to come up with interesting stuff for stage one.Same here, that’s the reason I never wrote anything for it.
>>96202275>Both will be exciting, but in different ways. The monkey Queen has inventive ways of how to train.
"I gotta shoot them, if I threw them they'd actually hurt you when they hit!"
>Same here, that’s the reason I never wrote anything for it.Yeah second stage will be much more fun though. I think a good part of the journey in the second stage for a little while would actually be finding sources for the non-philosophical elements like light, dark, space and time. And venti discovering his own affinity a bit with air.
>>96202302>"I gotta shoot them, if I threw them they'd actually hurt you when they hit!"Maybe she’s using a crossbow, just to make sure she won’t pull too hard.
>light, dark>Midna: Well, I did want to show you my clan’s lands at some point.>space and time. You could just use the other elements to generate them, if you wanted to take the simple route.
>>96202344>Maybe she’s using a crossbow, just to make sure she won’t pull too hard.Theres only so hard you can draw a bow back before it snaps iirc. But thats a good idea to. Crossbow would be smarter.
>>Midna: Well, I did want to show you my clan’s lands at some point.True. The twilight realm would be a nice place to try and get some dark/light essence. On top of seeing Midnas homeland. Not sure if the rest would get to much out of it though.
>You could just use the other elements to generate them, if you wanted to take the simple route.Yeah probably if all else fails. But it could be nice to make that a sub goal. And any place that has time or space essence lingering is bound to be a interesting place to visit anyway.
>>96202391>Theres only so hard you can draw a bow back before it snaps iirc. But thats a good idea to. Crossbow would be smarter.Imagine what a bow made for her strength would be like. It’d hit like a railgun.
>And any place that has time or space essence lingering is bound to be a interesting place to visit anyway.Very true.
>>96202296>not seeing any new contentIsn't that kind of the point of jumpchain? You don't add new content to a setting, you make perks and stuff from what is already there. Is this one of those redditors that does shit like add The Force to Marvel.
>>96202429>Imagine what a bow made for her strength would be like. It’d hit like a railgun....Fair point thats a little much. Crossbow it is.
>>96202454I mean, she wouldn’t be using anything close to her full strength or a bow made to handle it when training you, I’m just commenting on what she could do in a real fight.
>>96202465Oh then yeah. I imagine she's a utter monster in a real fight. Hell you got to be super human (though I imagine only a bit superhuman) itself to progress beyond the first stage. And she's at third.
>>96202475>Oh then yeah. I imagine she's a utter monster in a real fight. She’s both far too nice to slaughter the armies of mortals you could find outside Hyrule, and absurdly good at it.
>Hell you got to be super human (though I imagine only a bit superhuman) itself to progress beyond the first stage. And she's at third.I think Nyanko said X20 peak human would be a good place to progress to the second stage, though once you do you’d want to spend some time letting Smelting Breath build you up before you start into Mold Forging.
>>96202432I'm assuming what he's saying is that the jump options aren't based on the CYOA's setting, but rather just the CYOA's options ripped out, reformatted and made into jump options. Which is a pretty lazy thing to do, but a common route when making a jump out of another CYOA.
Perfect example of why you shouldn't make jumps out of other CYOAs, though. If you really want to use it in your chain, just put the damn CYOA in your chain. There's no Jumpchain police.
>>96202514>She’s both far too nice to slaughter the armies of mortals you could find outside Hyrule, and absurdly good at it."I mean I could but why would I? It's cruel like stepping on ants for no reason."
>I think Nyanko said X20 peak human would be a good place to progress to the second stage, though once you do you’d want to spend some time letting Smelting Breath build you up before you start into Mold Forging.Oh yeah I remember you used that in your own writing. X20 honestly sounds a little less then I'd of imagined desu. Though I wont oppose to a lower number. You definitely do want to build up your ki pool first before making a ki system... that'll definitely hurt.
>>96202543>"I mean I could but why would I? It's cruel like stepping on ants for no reason."A demonstration of strength could be useful when it comes time to conquer your lands. Ritsuka blowing up a lake by punching it or shooting an arrow at it would be very effective at convincing a village to sit down and talk with you.
>You definitely do want to build up your ki pool first before making a ki system... that'll definitely hurt.Yeah, Smelting Breath massively boosts the rate at which The Vessel Reforged can enhance you, and even something like X30 is dangerously low for starting on Mold Forging. X50 would be better.
>>96202589>A demonstration of strength could be useful when it comes time to conquer your lands. Ritsuka blowing up a lake by punching it or shooting an arrow at it would be very effective at convincing a village to sit down and talk with you.True. Honestly the more I think about it. The more I realize the logistics of actually conquering a chunk of land or dislodging the outer world cultivators is gonna be a nightmare. Probably possible but its got me thinking.
Probably strike when the sect and or clan in charge of its having some sort of turmoil.
>>96202589>Yeah, Smelting Breath massively boosts the rate at which The Vessel Reforged can enhance you, and even something like X30 is dangerously low for starting on Mold Forging. X50 would be better.X50 is what I was thinking to start yeah. Even X50 itself is really impressive though I think. The important thing though for venti is to not rush though I think. Thats a good way to get themselves killed.
>>96202612>True. Honestly the more I think about it. The more I realize the logistics of actually conquering a chunk of land or dislodging the outer world cultivators is gonna be a nightmare. Probably possible but its got me thinking. The conquest will be the easy part, the empress will probably be happy to loan you some military aid. The hard part comes afterwards, with driving the land’s former owners off for good, bringing the locals around, and developing the place. That said, the empire will have dealt with all that before, so you can ask for advice.
>>96202660>The conquest will be the easy part, the empress will probably be happy to loan you some military aid. The hard part comes afterwards, with driving the land’s former owners off for good, bringing the locals around, and developing the place. That said, the empire will have dealt with all that before, so you can ask for advice.Really? I was thinking the hard part would be the conquest given even if its a bit of a less settled/developed province by cultivators there'd still be a lot non scripture cultivators stronger then venti around. But I suppose thats where good old teamwork comes in.
Im a bit cautious to if they'd get direct aide from the empire. Because that could potentially boil things into a full blown war if its noticed. Getting the locals on his side would probably be fairly easy I think.
>>96196795That was a decade ago. Do you remember other things from a decade ago?
>>96202695>I was thinking the hard part would be the conquest given even if its a bit of a less settled/developed province by cultivators there'd still be a lot non scripture cultivators stronger then venti around.Sure, but the key point is that’s a problem you can punch to deal with, and like you said you’ll have friends. Convincing the locals to support you and developing the land, in contrast, are not so straightforward.
>Im a bit cautious to if they'd get direct aide from the empire. Because that could potentially boil things into a full blown war if its noticed.I mean, the clan that holds the land you’re going after would have to admit that they’re losing ground to you in order to ask for help, and they know full well what will happen if they tell all the other clans in the area they’re not strong enough.
>>96202756>Sure, but the key point is that’s a problem you can punch to deal with, and like you said you’ll have friends. Convincing the locals to support you and developing the land, in contrast, are not so straightforward.Ah fair enough. It may not be straightforward but it is something they'd be ready for I think. With a bit of work.
>>96202756>and they know full well what will happen if they tell all the other clans in the area they’re not strong enough. That's a good point. They'd turn on each other on a dime most likely.
So which is better to go to DBZ as a human and outshine all the saiyans or just give in and be a saiyan yourself because you are already cheating. Also planning on doing this as an end jump if that matters.
>>96202814>Ah fair enough. It may not be straightforward but it is something they'd be ready for I think. With a bit of work.Yeah, it’s a big logistical endeavor. Nothing that hasn’t been done before, but you’ll want some good financial backing, which leads back to my suggestion to approach the empire for support.
>That's a good point. They'd turn on each other on a dime most likely. It reminds me of the early days of the Machina in their setting a bit. By the time the rest of the cultivation world fully realizes the threat Hyrule poses, Hyrule will have grown large enough and powerful enough that the rest of the world all banding together will no longer be enough to overcome them.
>>96202871You don't need to be a Saiyan if you master UI/UE
>>96202871Reminder that the strongest full-blooded human in the entirety of Universe 7 is Krillin. Considering the kinds of bullshit that turned up there, the fact that he's even able to compete in the Tournament of Power is a pretty fucking solid showing for humanity.
>>96202880>Yeah, it’s a big logistical endeavor. Nothing that hasn’t been done before, but you’ll want some good financial backing, which leads back to my suggestion to approach the empire for support.Fair. I assume that'd eventually happen if there'll be part of the empire.
>It reminds me of the early days of the Machina in their setting a bit. By the time the rest of the cultivation world fully realizes the threat Hyrule poses, Hyrule will have grown large enough and powerful enough that the rest of the world all banding together will no longer be enough to overcome them. You know thats... not a terrible inaccurate comparison.
In the beginning I imagine Hyrule just barely managed to carve out a place for themselves early into Zelda I's reign and they've basically been digging in ever since. Basically, being numerous enough that no one singular clan could probably conquer them but no one trusts each other enough to team up enough to take them down.
Meanwhile Hyrule's basically trying to do everything it can think of to try and grow subtly. Maybe have a few enclaves sporadically dot the world with no official affiliation with the kingdom.
Zelda the II's basically playing the mother of all long games I think. A great cultivator war is in the cards potentially a few thousand years after venti gets his own little kingdom.
>>96202979Reminder that there's a What-If in one of the Boudikai games where he went Super Human after Goku died and kicked everyone's ass
>>96202989Does he grow golden hair?
>>96202985>You know thats... not a terrible inaccurate comparison.Especially since, when you get right down to it, Hyrule’s goal is world conquest.
>Meanwhile Hyrule's basically trying to do everything it can think of to try and grow subtly. Also quietly sabotaging other cultivation styles by stealing artifacts, and gathering dirt on major clans to insure any major alliances that might form against Hyrule can be broken up.
>A great cultivator war is in the cards potentially a few thousand years after venti gets his own little kingdom. With xianxia timescales, it’d probably be more like several hundred thousand years before the great war kicks off. Come to think of it, that could be part of your reason for traveling to other settings, you get the empire’s support in taking over your lands, and in exchange the Empress has asked you to visit other worlds and gather resources and allies for the war.
>>96203019No, he just grew his normal Buu Saga hairstyle. The game's Dragon Ball Kai: Ultimate Butōden, which sadly never got a US release. Which is probably why Super Krillin doesn't get talked about more often
>>96203030>Especially since, when you get right down to it, Hyrule’s goal is world conquest.Essentially even if they see it rightfully as for the worlds own good.
>Also quietly sabotaging other cultivation styles by stealing artifacts, and gathering dirt on major clans to insure any major alliances that might form against Hyrule can be broken up.Mmhm. Its a dangerous thing indeed if a cultivator can learn to be subtle. An illusion or two to hide the ears and other oddities and who knows when if ever they'd be uncovered?
>Come to think of it, that could be part of your reason for traveling to other settings, you get the empire’s support in taking over your lands, and in exchange the Empress has asked you to visit other worlds and gather resources and allies for the war.Hmm potentially. Not sure I'd of liked that so formalized but I can see venti doing that just by default a bit. Venti isn't even trying to seize the land for himself originally. He was just given a slice of what he helped liberate after the region/province joined hyrule.
Going to other worlds generally for resources and allies is a good idea though. Even if it might not have to great of a result to begin with. And I do still want a presence in generic xianxia world for him. Fairly invested in it at this point with the world building and all.
>>96203059>Mmhm. Its a dangerous thing indeed if a cultivator can learn to be subtle. An illusion or two to hide the ears and other oddities and who knows when if ever they'd be uncovered? And then there’s the usual xianxia backstabbing. If a clan artifact disappears, who are they going to suspect, some kingdom on a different continent they they’ve barely even heard of, or one of the several other clans in the area, some of which they’re feuding with?
>Venti isn't even trying to seize the land for himself originally. He was just given a slice of what he helped liberate after the region/province joined hyrule.>helped liberateNow that you phrase it like that, I could see it the other way around. Maybe it’s the empire making a push to expand, you joined as a volunteer, and as a reward for distinguishing yourself in some way you were offered some land.
>>96203103>which they’re feudingExactly. Hmm... I wonder if I've made this a bit to stacked in hyrules favor a bit in retrospect.
>Now that you phrase it like that, I could see it the other way around. Maybe it’s the empire making a push to expand, you joined as a volunteer, and as a reward for distinguishing yourself in some way you were offered some land.Potentially. By that point he would already be considered a saint, and spent a century in the capital. So his name would be out there. Fair I could see that. I might roll with that instead.
>>96203144>Exactly. Hmm... I wonder if I've made this a bit to stacked in hyrules favor a bit in retrospect.I mean, Hyrule does still have to be very careful not to let such things get traced back to them, and to not appear too much of a threat when expanding. They’re still walking a line, the typical xianxia mindset is just making that line broader then it would otherwise be.

>Between being a saint and your idea about befriending Hylia, you might get a recommendation from the highest possible quarters.True. Honestly I imagine by then he'd of befriended three generations of zelda (The princess, The Empress, And the goddess)
Trying to imagine what the friendship between him and hylia is like a little bit though. He'd probably treat her with respect surely but maybe more like a normal person then anything else after a while.
I do want venti to ask the whole question of evil at some point to one of his mentors. If the three golden goddesses are all powerful. Why do such evils like the mainstream cultivators still exist or such things.
>>96203193>He'd probably treat her with respect surely but maybe more like a normal person then anything else after a while.Friendly but not casual, so to speak.
>If the three golden goddesses are all powerful. Why do such evils like the mainstream cultivators still exist or such things.>Hylia: You understand that cultivators who reach the second realm take a light hand when dealing with mortals because it would be wrong for so powerful a being to force their will on someone who cannot even imagine resisting. Is it so odd that the Golden Goddesses would hold themselves to the same standard?
>>96203248>Friendly but not casual, so to speak.Yeah something like that.

>Kamen Rider Nei-Heisei Part 3 - My Life Will Burn Bright(200, Mystic): Your belief and hope has enriched your soul. That isn’t a figure of speech. Your soul is now literally stronger and brighter, effervescent with a ‘light’ of hope and good emotions. Not only that, but this ‘light’ makes you boisterous and full of life & energy no matter how dire the situations...your soul as bright as a diamond.
>The Vision of Escaflowne - I am Alive (400): You can not die yet. You will not die yet. There is still too much that needs to be done for you to waste time rotting in the dirt. If your body cannot keep you alive, then your will shall have to suffice. Your will to live can even bring you back from the brink of death, be it from disease, starvation, or just age. If you find yourself lying on your deathbed, with barely a breath between you and the void, suddenly finding a new purpose in life will have you spring to your feet with the liveliness of a hyperactive child. You can live a life spanning thousands of years if you keep up this drive. Although, while you can considerably slow your aging, you can not stop or reverse it entirely. Obviously, willpower won’t do much against immediate causes of death, like the loss of a vital organ, or the destruction of your brain. With that said, as long as something doesn’t kill you immediately, you can at least stop yourself from bleeding out until help comes.

>>96204505Kill Six Billion Demons is an unusual example where it’s a good place to pick up quasi-esoteric, solidly-xianxia martial arts. And also the entire setting tries to beat you over the head with the idea that violence /for violence’s sake/ is as futile as it is inevitable and you should seek personal fulfilment and self-actualisation at the cost of all else even if it means plunging the multiverse into irrevocable destruction. Which by all indications as of the latest update, it is due for because Allison still hasn’t figured out a way to stop the indestructible demigod who, already basically the perfect warrior compared to anyone who isn’t Zoss, also managed to powerup up further with at least two more Keys. And whose stated goal is the destruction of the multiverse and eating 1 Metatron so that he can rebuild a new one free of the old’s suffering, then erase himself from existence. This is a problem because, y’know, he is indestructible. As in the author stated the setting’s capital-G God couldn’t for a specific reason. Either a more specific reason than “he has angel nails hammered through himself” or the angel nail grindset really is that good.
>>96200501What no, that’s ridiculous. Due to specific abilities (being a Primordial, developing a certain Xianxia cheat, Crisis Energy manipulation, reverse engineering the power of certain MMO settings that draw power from ancestors to instead draw power from descendants) doing a Kronos would be, apart from bad parenting, a net loss of power. My children generate more cosmic energy for me by being alive (and preferably, murdering Outer Gods) than they would as snacks.

I took one look at the situation and decided that this was above and beyond what current year technology was worth investing in to deal with, even if the ship's material was a commendable use of local resources. After dedicating a few angel investors to maintain research into it even after I'd make the entire mission redundant very quickly, I told everyone to abort the mission over the comms.
"...come in, ground control?"
"I'm sending in a specialist" I clarified. "Someone with a deeper, more profound understanding of the planet than any mind in human history could fathom. Someone chosen by the planet itself to bear witness to it's wonders and horrors. Someone whose existence is as eternal as the wind and seas"
"Ground control, with all due respect...are you high?" said everyone within as Arcuied squinted at the team through the screen. "Wait, who's that? What the hell is going on back there?! That woman can't be authorised!"
In a torrent of blinding blue, my chosen avatar of planetary preservation hurtled towards the core of the Earth. The one, the only...Captain Planet (summoned with the help of Arcuied) flew all the way to the centre of the Earth, got the core spinning with a single kick, and flew out again to high-five Arcuied. Smashing DESTINI on the way out.
"WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING?!" screamed the rest of mission control.

>>96209705"Just a bit of celestial maintenance from your friendly neighbourhood Counter Guardian, friends!" said Captain Planet brightly. "And remember...the power is YOURS! Because only YOU can lobby against the industrial military complex!"

I spent the rest of the decade suing the US government into bankruptcy as the legal representative of Arcuied, Gaia, Gaea, Gaia, Gaia and you get the idea as eyewitnesses to the literal earthquake gun pointed at the planet.

For the 0 people who care about how Darkseid compares to Sonic, according DC x Sonic the Hedgehog a single Darkseid avatar is worth approximately 0.8 Solarises by my reckoning. Given they deal with each other’s problems fairly well it appears this New 52esque core Justice League is roughly neck and neck with Team Sonic, amongst whom Shadow, Silver and Sonic are present (meaning nobody else matters). HOWEVER, there were multiple super hedgehogs in the fight against Solaris AND they specifically had to attack it at different points of space-time. A single Super Sonic is able to knock Darkseid around, albeit with little more than superficial damage and humiliation to show as a result before Darkseid gets serious enough to do the edgy version of Jiren’s energy waves. Not to mention the fact that even one of Solaris’ components could freely time travel while Darkseid was just kind of stuck in one void he was hijacking. And that’s WITH his dimensional instability-causing superweapon.

>>96211759Based on the description of the New Gods, and specially how DC has been treating Darkseid over the last few years, I will say that Darkseid's power is directly proportional to the local heroes where he manifests. He will always be strong enough for a bad end where Apokolis takes over the universe and makes it another of its slave camps/weapons factory. But not too strong that the heroes banding together and with a bit of plot luck cannot beat him.
In this headcanon, if the universe is entirely made of mortals, Darkseid is probably around the strength of Homelander. If it were to be made of kindergarder children, he would be a pre-teen.
This also explains how Darkseid got so strong just after Dark Metal: the heroes became stronger so there was a timelag where he had to match up against things like Golden Wonder Woman.

>>96216563Depends on what your plans for the jump would be.
Like if you get a harem with over a dozen women i'd probably get at least one for each, but if you're in a monogamous relationship it could as few as 2.
>>96216589I thought since it was a drawback that they would be with possibly random seeming people.
>>96216563I couldn't tell you what a reasonable number is, my jumper has more kids than there are elementary particles natively in any given non-infinite setting. >>96216619I mean, it's based on Issei's kids with all his fiance's appearing rather than any from different potential futures, so I'd go with children your jumper would proably actually have in jump.

>>96214133>headcanonNah actually this is pretty much canon now. The current major event, DC All-In, canonised the idea that not only is Darkseid the End of Stories, not only is he the literal left hand of the Great Darkness, but at the formation of the DC multiverse he was designated as a metaphysical counterweight to all life and hope-giving it meaning through having something to struggle against. Canonically Darkseid’s power fluctuates, waning as the multiverse expands and he is apparently spread thin through his various avatars, and contracting as the multiverse is compressed or confined. The entire reason Darkseid became restless enough to get an existential crisis (after his previous one at the hands of the Great Darkness. Or rather, as it’s hand) recently is because of the multiverse being temporarily sealed due to Amanda Waller using advanced technology and a multiversal Suicide Squad to try to police the entire multiverse. Like mixing pepsi and mentos then shaking it, this made Darkseid volatile enough to start finding a way to escape his preordained role.
So yeah. Going by DC All-In, every crossover/Elseworld/shift in reality drastic enough to create a no-bullshit actualised timeline “nerfs” Darkseid by spooling off some of his essence to have an avatar that scales roughly to Sonic/Raiden/whoever, and every time the multiverse as a whole is drastically reduced Darkseid gets the cosmic deity equivalent of roid rage as well as a power boost from being squished back into his thicc fullness.
…this implies that crossovers are actually healthier for DC in the long term, because it both weakens and distracts Darkseid’s core essence. Spreading his evil across multiple worlds like a sticky jam.

>>96219063fill space with spaceships
>>96219083A obvious but still good suggestion. Thanks anon.
>>96219058Empty Is My Hand was deliberately written to be open to interpretation as either Darkseid or the Empty Hand's gimmick, so that really depends on whether you see yourself as the left hand of the Great Darkness, the right hand of the Great Darkness, or a third hand of the Great Darkness who just ignores all the bullshit and sticks with the perk's wording. If you decide to be the (other) right hand, then you gain the advantage of being demonstrably capable of slapping the Truest Darkseid's shit in a brawl at the minimum and being a metafictional cosmic nightmare at maximum. If you decide to be the (other) left hand, then yes...but you also get the inevitable cavalcade of unearned powerups Darkseid will continue to be graced with while everyone forgets about the Empty Hand. And if you decide to be a third hand, fanwank something.
>>96219058>post-crisis DarkseidNah. Post-crisis Darkseid varies heavily on any given day; sometimes he's strangling the Source itself, other times Superman can beat him up and shove him into the Source Wall. Even moreso than post-FINAL Crisis/New 52 Darkseid who had a really weak first showing but then got established as capable of subsuming universes offscreen (this was canonically the weakest Darkseid has ever been, according to himself. Make of that what you will)
Perfect Lex on the other hand was beaten up in a fight with the Trinity. He was also gravely concerned that New 52 Darkseid posed a threat to his plans-enough that after they joined forces, Braniac specifically made a shitload of robots designed to kill New Gods to try to take him out (he failed)

My Singularities are a combination of T and W Corps's Singularities. Mechanically, it's literally just the ability to Save and Load, allowing me to establish a timeloop that'll endlessly restore me back to the beginning of the loop. My advantage as a colour fixer is an absurd skill at dodging.
All said, I'm one of the most powerful beings in the city due to being an Arbiter, and I'm unfathomably hard to even land a hit on due to being able to dodge basically anything that comes my way, being able to very easily escape any conflicts that I can't handle, and being able to make anything bad that happens to me into something that never happened.
It's rather weird for an Arbiter to be a massive coward, but it's not like anyone except other Arbiters will ever know about what happens in my timeloops, yeah? Unfortunately my cowardice is rather exhausting. Constantly reliving the same minute, hour, day, week, month, over and over and over just to make sure nothing threatens me

From the moment I sensed the tell-tale quantum echoes of cyclical violence from this particular reality, I knew that violence was the only language it would understand. "THE IRISH could be here" I thought, "I've never been in this universe before. There could be IRISHMEN anywhere." The fires of industry swaddling my current incarnation felt good against my infant chest. "I HATE THE IRISH" I thought. Brian Borús March reverberated the entire womb I was gestating in, making it pulsate even as the squabbling blessings of the Morrigan and the Mother Goddess circulated through my powerful thick veins and washed away my (merited) grief for all the lives yet to be lost. "With a great destiny, you can go anywhere you want" I said to myself, out loud, right as my mother gave birth.
As my impossibly violent and stupid mother said, my birth was the result of the gods themselves taking pity on my freshly raped mother by possessing her and her husband's corpse for one last shag shortly after she'd slain his killer. While technically this was rape, the sex was so fucking transcendentally good that when I popped out of the womb already fully divine, she didn't even care.
This was one of many reasons why three of my brothers immediately decided I had to die lest they live in shadow forever. I bonded with the fourth over our shared preference of animals as friends over the Irish.
1/5
>>96233606"Hey Arawn, have you ever considered running away?" I asked my one loyal brother, who was also basically a rabid animal in human flesh.
"And go where? Be some loutish sellsword as my brethren seat themselves on bloody thrones" he snarled back bitterly.
"Have you ever considered just...living with the wolves? I mean, that literal bitch who nursed you is objectively a better mother than Siamh has ever been to you, and I've never seen you happier than when you're with your lupine brethren. Seriously, WHY do you care about proving yourself to a family that's hated you almost as much as it's hated me?"
"Why...why indeed" said Arawn, puzzled by his own motivations.
"I mean our mother literally gave me YOUR quest. It's almost like she's trying to tell you to leave and never come back or something" I hinted.
"...that is correctly brutal of her general upbringing. Very well. Good hunting brother, I go now to my true kingdom: THE FOREST!" said Arawn.
"By the way, any kingdom of mine will throw out all the spare meat bones and offal you and your pack can eat at the west gate every sundown! Don't be a stranger, you hear?!" I yelled after him as he loped off.
Arawn proceeded to live a happy, exciting and fulfilling life as a wildman running with the wolves, which Siamh somehow found a reason to pitch a fit about despite never wanting him to succeed in the first place. Meanwhile the sea succubus I encountered using the cauldron was very surprised she couldn't turn me to stone because I was already rock hard, and after holding her down for Scorched Lord correction out of idle curiosity to see how the local monstergirl population's evolution would progress I took off with the Cauldron of Blood.
It's sinister promises of power beyond all imagining gave way to confusion when instead of people, I used my divine powers to pour oceans of plankton into it.
2/5
>>96233610I proceeded to seal the Cauldron in a cave only I knew the location of, warded against magics druidic and infernal, beneath the sea while I continued to just pour enough nonsentient organisms to feed a million baleen whales using my inherited nature god powers to power it up. It constantly complained that CHAD WARRIOR MANLY MEN would be much more delicious. It constantly promised riches, fame, bitches on my dick for proper sacrifices. And, very begrudgingly, it admitted I was objectively giving the cauldron more power than hundreds of human sacrifices would've managed by sheer volume.
The Cauldron sometimes asked me what I wanted to do with all that power. Other than giving my bro Arawn a cock (one of my kingdoms bordered a weak and rebellious king so I asked Arawn to go dispose of him for me. Fate clearly wanted Arawn to fuck the queen and get into some kind of tragic romance despite being already largely thwarted, because despite running a wolf protection racket on that kingdom instead of conquering it per se she still managed to win Arawn over by throwing doggy treats and giving chin scratches to the strange, lonely wolf-LARPing man living at the edges of society) for services rendered. I just kept telling it that it would find out one day while it pestered me with questions.
Meanwhile upon claiming their thrones, my brothers were immediately approached by sinister shamans offering them the power to strike me down. One of many reasons I was an object of envy for them was that while they actually had to RAPE their women, by the age of 8 I found out several of my mothers' sister Amazons survived their village massacre, and either recovered the village's populations or rose to leadership among other monstergirl populations.
Keen to keep the Amazon bloodline pure, upon finding out Siamh had a son they immediately dragged me away for Amazon mating press /ss/. And that's why I got no combat training.

Morrigan
md5: e580af9e10045613e02e402436ca1f84
🔍
>>96233614Anyway the shamans corrupted Lugh's axe with dread curses and hooked up Engus with the few demonic powers not already under my rule and taught Kern how to make his own set of fate-telling bones, and together they raised up a great army of men who either coveted my Amazon demigoddess daughterus or feared my monstergirl daughterus (which I bred specifically to survive working in the harsh environment of the underground, extracting rare earths and precious metals to make advanced alloys) and set out to the blasted heath where I supposedly could be defeated according to fate. There were three problems with their evil plan. The first was the Cauldron of Blood was so thoroughly muffled that despite Kern's best efforts they couldn't find the notional seat of my power and destroy it. The second was that the gods made fate.
And, well, as Arawn proved in another life you can just kind of talk to the gods by yelling and offering something important to them as long as you're important enough.
"Mother Goddess!" I yelled at the sky, as I pumped my manhood, "I offer what is most precious to me: My cum. And the breast milk of the waifus who accompany me. I ask for only one thing in return. Help me defend the lives I hold dear!"
"I hear your call, Anon, son of Siamh...and myself" said the Mother Goddess, ascending from a flurry of leaves. "I will grant your request, but know that-"
"Hey! Hey, that's MY favoured son-husband! Get your own!" shouted the Morrigan, interrupting as a second giant naked woman jumped in. "It will be MY armies that march at his side!"
"You're the reason why he has that awful fiery corruption!" shouted the Mother Goddess as they square off, boobs squishing boobishly.
"Ladies, ladies" I said, waving my hands, "I don't need armies and there's enough room for both your blessings on what I require"
They stared at me. "You don't?" they both exclaimed.
4/5
>>96233616Being Irish, neither goddess understood what nanomachines or smart matter were. And being elemental deities, they didn't have to.
This resulted in the birth of a SECOND Thing in the Cauldron inhabiting the nanites. Being made of excessive goddess love for me it immediately killed the original Thing before gladly merging with me. Magitech circuits based on druidic magic channelled all the life energy in this reality through me, allowing us to transcend the gods without bloodshed.
"DO YOU UNWASHED CELTS FINALLY SEE" I shouted at my traitorous as I assumed my final form of living molten metal, "WHY IT'S IMPORTANT TO LEARN HOW TO /PROPERLY/ CULTIVATE?"
Math was stupid enough to press the attack. I vapourised him with a bolt of red lightning. Engus fled. I made his bones sprout swords and rip him apart from the inside. Kern had the intelligent idea of trying to appeal to the other gods to fight me, but alas none of them were willing to get snubbed by both the Morrigan AND the Mother Goddess. So I killed him by having a giant pumpkin fall on him from on high. And the shamans quickly found out magic was no match for Amazon snipers.
You would think my mother would be fucking pissed at my decision to start building train tracks and terraforming engines everywhere while ranting about using steel to impose order on the chaos of nature as I conquered the Morrigan and the Mother Goddess (sexually) with my vibrating metal tentacles to fulfil the conditions for the aspects of this world under their sway to pass into my ownership, but actually? She was really proud. Cheering me on during the goddess tentacling, actually.
As for Arawn, he spent his days as a good boy taught to be what passed for a proper gentleman by his human queen wife, and his nights running around naked, howling and dragging back extra wild game for the castle larders. A simple by happy life as a white woman's fuckpet.

All the while forgetting little tricks like just inviting the gods over with an offering. Seriously, the Celtic approach to controlling mystical energies is an insult to cultivation. "You still need to practice the dream eye properly and we're bound to see each other through it eventually. Best to get you used to it more and get it out of the way now." The twili turns and sits down onto a nearby chair looking at him expectedly.
"It just feels... like crossing a boundary a bit. Seeing one's nature on a spiritual level feels like a intimate thing."
This just made midna snort for a moment. ""Intimate?" You're reading into it to much. Trust me with more experience that sentiment will come right off." She shakes her head as if dismissing the concept.
"Well... as long as you're sure." Venti nods slowly. Not entirely convinced but finding himself unwilling to meaningfully argue with the woman on this. He takes a deep breath. Before finally peering past the veil of the mundane. And for lack of a better word looking in his acquaintance's direction.
Tendrils of shadow coiled around her. This itself wasn't much of a surprise to him, he'd heard and read about twili, being so connected to darkness but... something about it gave him pause. The way they seemed to stem and coil out for her, writhing against each other, it forming something akin to a barrier. "Just keep my offer in mind yeah? And have a cookie. It's good for the soul and I should know if I have a good one."
"You know I highly doubt it is. All wheat and sugar." The twili grumbles taking the cookie anyway. Her expression becoming just a touch less exasperated. The tension broken.
"So what have you been doing aside from the core lessons since autumns starting to roll in?" She asks.
Venti just grins brightly at the question.

>>96235215That was the idea a bit! Was going to gather around his friends and have him try to (probably badly) explain Christianity a bit. When the holidays origins are brought up And some history and what life was like for him back on earth. That'd be some fun cultural dissonance I feel.
It does occur to me that if I ever do try making a jump for Houkai Gakuen 2 there will be enough Mei variants to nearly fill up an entire companion roster.
>>96235333Well... We know what to do then.
Post cute girls at you until you give in and make it.
(Please excuse the fact I have none to post atm.)
>>96235333>Make a jump with a massive OC companion section>All the OC companions are the same person
>>96235343Trouble with GGZ is that the global version of the game shut down a fair while ago, with only the CN and JP servers continuing. There is a LOT of story untranslated IIUC.
>>96235333Nice! Still, how goes Doulou Dalu?
>>96235371Oh well thats a genuine shame honestly. And I can see why you wouldn't do it then.
>>96235333Apparently the commander of honkai or whatever isn't a true analogue to the Cocoon since there are apparently people showing up after disappearing that basically are mini versions of it.
>>96235333Just imagine the reaction of the last one you pick up when they meet your other companions.

>>96235333>Into the Meiverse
>>96235401More pertinently, imagine Kiana's reaction when you turn up with 6 other Mei's.

What are your Jumper's thoughts of their companions?
I was researching Ragnarok Online because I wanted to combine it's Card Drops perk with that perk from YuGiOh that lets me summon using cards to get something like that Production Cheat manga's summoning
Turns out they released a 4th Novice tier. One that's actually able to hold it's own alongside the other 4th tier jobs. So being a Novice doesn't mean you're a weak gimmick forever now
