Why do all these miniature games have such generic names?

>Trench Crusade
>Warmachines
>Armoured Clash

Just give it an original name, for god's sake.

I just don't like the modern styling. The old Spartan stuff for DysWars felt ... slightly more "real"? The new releases feel a bit RTS game graphics to me; slightly distorted, stylised. Almost an uncanny valley - more Warcraft than warfare. Every now and then I keep going back to look at them just in case but... No.

What would be an "original" name in your view?

Love the minis but this game has too many weird token, unit card, rules version, entry point variables that make getting into it look seriously annoying.

the americans in dystopian wars (naval game in the same setting) have landing ships that deploy the trains D-day style since they're antigrav and can go over water

The name of a location or a proper noun. Mordheim is a good name for a franchise, Even Age of Sigmar is closer to what an "original name" would be.

>cringy made up fake name instead of something that actually gives you an idea of what the game is about

Mordheim is kind of just fake Germanish for Murder Town anyway so it technically falls into the first category.

Yeah it’s super cool, and it’s not just the Americans, the British and Chinese have their armored clash units represented as tokens in dystopian wars as well.

I really think war cradle is putting in a lot of love into both these games, model and game design wise and I think it’s work a pick up

They did get messy, I can't deny that.
This has inspired me to dig through some boxes for some of those old (floating) 'trains', so that's been a nice trip down memory lane. I think I'll finish off some of the half-done things I found there too. I really did enjoy doing them at the time.
