What vidya is the most like a TT campaign?

Icewind Dale series, and in general, anything where you create a full party from the start.
Anonymous No.96212345 [Report]
>>96212338
Wrong, it needs to have a predetermined party besides the MC, to simulate your friends playing their own characters instead of you making them up

Point and click adventures accurately simulate TTRPGs with shitty railroading GMs that demand a specific nonsensical solution to every situation, and will sit there making snarky comments until you correctly guess it.

Icewind Dale is what made me drop tabletop gaming and move entirely onto PC gaming. It came out when I was in my early teens and made my friend group realise it was more fun for us all to just go round one friend's house and use his dad's PC to play it and take turns than it was to have a DM.

owlcat's pathfinder crpgs and rogue trader are very rules-faithful adaptions to their respective games
Anonymous No.96214379 [Report] >>96215367
>>96214351
They really are, and they're not afraid to go places with the games. Rogue Trader actually showed how people live in the Imperium, Christ you even get to interact with normal people fairly regularly instead of just roided out spess mehrens and spess cultists which made 40k actually feel like a place where people lived.

Skyrim
No, that's not a shitpost, it perfectly encapsulates mainstream RPGs at the moment:
>the party is special because . . . THEY JUST ARE OKAY?!?
>world full of reactive NPCs that will do nothing until the next stage of the quest is reached
>the essential NPCs have unavoidable escapes so they can advance the plot
>the most fun had is when players leave the railroad to do dumb shit
>the finale of the campaign is something that sounds EPIC but in reality was boring

Space Marines have always and will always be the least interesting aspect of the setting and GW should just have kept them as roided up psychopaths who everyone fears rather than turn them into the centrepiece of the brand.

Disco Elysium captures social nonsense and banter and nonsense conversations you have with the DMs npcs and other based retard PCs pretty damn well and doing random dice rolling for this or that check at appropriate or inappropriate times.
Basically it just reminded me of any of the social roleplaying in most rpgs.

I imagine most CRPGs aka computer role playing games aka literally RPGs in video game form

No, idiot.
Games are discussed at /g/ames. This is no/tg/ames. Since it is based on a ttrpng it can't be a game by definition. Usually I'd ignore the semantics, but well, I didn't start to be anal about it.

This game actually feels like a table top role playing game in the form of a computer game. Not just that, but they feel like TTRPGs more than some CRPGs based off rulesets.

It makes we wish we could actually get a AAA sandbox CRPG instead of all these theme park CRPGs.

Honorable mentions to Battle Bothers, WarTales, Mount and Blade Warband (with mods), and Project Zomboid.
