The Longshanks, officially designated Homo sapiens elongatus, were once known by a cruder shipboard slur, Mutatus Titanicus, by voidship crews and regimental scribes. The Longshanks, officially designated Homo sapiens elongatus, were once known by a cruder shipboard slur: Mutatus Titanicus. The name was commonly used by voidship crews and regimental scribes alike; spoken half in awe, half in revulsion. Before their recognition by the Adeptus Biologis as a stable abhuman strain, they were filed under mutation codes typically reserved for vat-warped horrors and unclassed deviants.

A colossal form of living wood keeps watch over the winding mossy trail in a secret grove, its limbs born of ancient tears and valor’s breath to shield every green leaf from steel and flame. A lone minstrel once laid down her song at its gnarled feet, and through creaking bark came a whispered vow: move in tune with the forest’s breath, for music sparks hidden light in shadowed limbs and soothes the land’s smoldering heart. Those who honor this silent covenant glide untroubled through dusk and dawn, while those who rend the sacred heartwood find themselves trapped forever within the guardian’s unfolding hymn.

It doesn't take long for the Manhunters to find evidence of Andris. Now having the tracks, they begin to coordinate with shrieks and bleating heard for long distances.
Meanwhile, Röst's disposition had changed in a flash. Where she had been explaining herself to a guard pleasantly she suddenly took on a frightened and worried look. She grabs the arm of the guard and desperately pleads with him to come with her.
>The Dahlia is missing. Autumn is coming. Help, you must come with me!
Unusually strong Röst pulls the guard to the edge of town. Ahead of them Skogsra stands angrily and points at the guard. In her fae language she speaks

>The pale elf was forgettable, deliberately so. She slipped through doorways like a draft, unseen and unremarked. Few ever noticed her arrival, fewer still her departure. But when the moment called for it, she cast off her cloak and gasps caught in throats. Conversations died mid-sentence. All eyes fixed on the amulet she wore across her neck. Playing around with the different preset prompt styles in Perchance. I don't normally gen anime art styles, but for this one it seemed appropriate. This was our party in a Cybergen game years ago. I know it wasn't a very popular offshoot of Cyberpunk, but we had a good time of it. The original artwork of the game was largely anime-inspired.

>"Code": A V-gamer, one who plays virtuality enhanced LARPs. His cyber plague ability was a Wizard, his brain now a living computer.
>"Duchess": A Goldenkid, a rich girl whos parents were high-level corporates and government officials. He plague ability was a Scanner, able to read minds.
>"Funbunni": A Chinese Boardpunk using skateboards, surfboard, and aeroboards. Her cyber ability was Bolter, she could shoot nanowires from her wrists and shock people
>"Geekmonkey": A Tinkertot, mechanics and inventors. His ability was an alchemist, whose hands could emit nanotech that could alter molecular structures.
>"Hector": A Goganger, or biker gang member. His ability was classified as a "Sport", which was someone who gained unusual abilites. He was sort of like Wolverine without the claws, with nanotech healing and carbonfiber-lined bones.
>"Spooky": A Goth, nihilists and thrill-seekers. He ability was a Tinman, which made their bodies like a limited T1000 terminator, bodies of "liquid metal"

Another week, another episode in the tale of the Techpriestess. AKA, Miss Not Appearing in This Week's Story. Continued from >>96187000

>The months that followed witnessed a succession of curious happenings: A freighter laden with Throne Gelt, precious bullion, and jewels departed the hidden fortress of the Von Nassau-Mendoza dynasty, bearing a fortune that could purchase whole worlds as it plied the shipping lanes towards Holy Terra. At each port of call, whether in dreary alleyways or luxurious clubs, the wages of a dozen lifetimes changed hands with careless ease as agents of the Rogue Trader extracted promises from chosen individuals, positioned within Imperial society to bring his plot to fruition.

>And where an excess of pride or misplaced zealotry led some to refuse the dynasty's coin, room was made for others less burdened by scruples. Indeed, the petit bourgeoisie of the Imperium seemed to be wracked by a spate of misfortune, as prominent and virtuous men plunged from rooftops under mysterious circumstances or fell prey to "hive gangers" with a troubling frequency.

>It was a costly affair to be sure, perhaps the greatest endeavor in the dynasty's history. Yet with this expense of coin and blood, the Rogue Trader would achieve the impossible and have Salafié's well-deserved damnation replaced with lauded grace.
Anonymous No.96245258 [Report]
>>96245243
>The scheme was in motion, a thousand conspirators all playing their parts.

>In a shadowy vault on Veradan, a lone scribe of the Administratum labored late into the night, expunging all truth from the documents before him. Where Salafié appeared by name, now the records read "unknown heretic." Indeed, whole reports were falsified to cover her blackest deeds: The account of the famed Omnicide of Penatares IV no longer spoke of a biosphere scoured by automata, but instead recorded an ordinary "Tyranid incursion." The report on the massacre of Vhormanstadt Hive, once infamous for its references to "necromechanical horrors" (the scribe shuddered even as he erased the words), now ascribed blame to mere "Chaos raiders." And so on, and so on...

>Elsewhere, across dozens of worlds, mad preachers screamed forth a suspiciously similar sermon, recounting a now-heavily-edited account of Salafié's tale. Soon, billions were familiar with the story of a "wrongfully excommunicated" Techpriestess seized and enslaved by the forces of Chaos, who even in her darkest hours persevered through faith alone, until, with no thought to her own safety, she turned the heretics' own machines against them and destroyed the Chaos warband, surviving the affair by the Emperor's grace alone. What heroism! What piety!

>Right on cue, a certain Bishop of the Ecclesiarchy, delivering the Candlemas homily in the main cathedral of Ophelia VII, revealed to the masses that he had uncovered the identity of this newly venerated folk hero; none other than Magos Salafié Al-Faiz of Hydraphur.

>No sooner had the name spread along the pilgrimage routes than the Rogue Trader's seneschal arrived on Holy Terra. Purchasing an audience in the hallowed Senatorum Imperialis, he knelt before the High Lords of Terra themselves, and presented a formal petition in the name of the Von Nassau-Mendoza dynasty to have Salafié pardoned of the charge of heresy that had hung over her these last two centuries.
