Mountain Keep is a nice looking residential district with actual competently built housing, and not some cobbled together settlement. Even if you just want better living conditions in the short term it makes sense to target the Keep first. Location order of clearing should go Mountain Keep > Crypts > Old Sewers > Prison. Crypts and Old Sewers have evolving threats (cultists summoning shit and slug necromancer necromancing shit), while the Prisons threats are static.

Those undead will have been there for years and thus rotted or dried out near completely. Automaton - one of the best races, these glorious machines can just be shoved in the manufacturer's and work 24/7

Industrialize(-2)-very powerful potential, especially with a crator sorcerer, especially considering the denizens of this world are technology locked. Give a few centuries, and you can have a dramatic tech lead. Plus, I do want my modern luxuries eventually.
Dungeon Seed(-1)-free maintenance eliminates most logistical concerns, so I can construct massive hive cities and fill them with millions of peons, eventually.
Land Transformation(-2)-pretty much allows one to convert essence into raw resources to fuel the manufacturies and just increase land value to generate even more essence. Plus, it combos with dungeon seed for better modable mega cities.
Greed(-1)-just free essence because I have stuff, and considering I would be the only one capable of producing higher tech stuff, those things will have quite a great value.

Mutants (+1)-I can probably conduct some eugenics breeding programs to get some benefit out of this; otherwise, it's just a bit annoying, but minimal impact.
Lustful Minions(+1)-can be taken into account from a logistical standpoint. Automatons are just great and won't get horny because I am too much of a cheapskate to give them human emotions, so they can just work in their manufacturies 24/7.
Decadent(+1)-will need to take into account logistically, but the drawback is slightly counteracted by greed, as I at least now produce more essence from all of these luxuries I own and allow my minions to use.

Basic strategy improves land value and manufactures stuff, to get more essence, to improve the land value and manufacture even more stuff, exponentially. Using dungeon seed to alleviate most logistical concerns, might need ventilation, but maybe not, automatons probably don't need to breathe. While land transformation and item conjuration produce raw material. All while researching magic and tech for even better improvements in this value to produce even more essence. Breeders and animators are further used to optimize essence expenditure.

Now, do I really need to follow the main objective? Not really, in my eyes, there are two possibilities.
The goddesses are just too strong to beat because the being could not defeat them, so how can a random shmuck like me do it?
Or I can actually defeat them, and then that calls into question why the allegedly so powerful being didn't already defeat them and is sending me as a proxy? Why should I listen to some incompetent loser who can't finish the job themselves and is probably doing all of this shit out of spite?
They don't even have any leverage on you from default, only if you're so desperate that you decide to pick the vassalage or deadline will they gain any power over you. Only threats and alleged drastic actions are given, but considering how incompetent this being seems, I am not sure how credible it seems. They are probably just desperate as fuck to be sending randos to do the job for them; they are probably just scared the goddesses are going to kick their ass when they regain full power. But its probably easier to just do the bare minimum to avoid their tantrums until you build up a strong enough power base, maybe go revive the goddess of wisdom for shits and giggles later on.

B the world is unstable preventing the goddesses from appearing themselves but the same goes for the entity, who was going 1 against four and still managed to kill one of them and fuck up the world royally mind you

Well yes most of the writing choices are from a cyoa perspective but they could have at least added some more narrative motivation like it just seems a bit stupid for the entity not to have any leverage built in to by default on your proxies or enough external danger. Like I would understand if this entity was some chaos incarnate sending in randos to do whatever they want for entertainment and offers rewards if they please them, but this being just seems too invested into their objectives.

for point B I would think it would be the inverse, while to goddess are at their weakest any external invader would be at their strongest as the unstable reality seems to make it easier for outsiders to enter as abberants are easier to summon in the far north. So I would assume the being was weakened themselves and unable to do so and is desperate enough to rely on some randos as proxies. Then you also got to consider the wording at the end "drastic measures" the entity doesn't really care about the world being destroyed or not he only wants to piss of the goddesses so why doesn't just do these "drastic measures" now, its either too costly or they know it won't get rid of them and considering they are going to do it just before the goddesses regain their full power sounds to me like a desperate final maneuver pulled by a doomed being.

Then you got to consider this they are expecting you some random shmuck to defeat 3 goddesses even when not in full power, while the alleged powerful being could not defeat 4 of them. Now if they are expecting you too somehow grow powerful enough to combat these 3 how exactly would they be able to do anything if you decided to betray them and team up with the goddesses you know what revive the goddess of wisdom too for good measure.

The being might even have had an advantage on their first invasion as it was both a surprise and the goddesses were most likely not fully militarized and prepared for war so they could have blitzed them.

The far off sage in their far off tower who has all the answers is a sort of creature the same way that a dragon in their cave is a sort of creature. Both are legendary hoarders of items and information.

The first anime series were starting to get picked up for broadcast (the old USA network had Sailor Moon!), and the American studios were starting to panic and crank out oddball gems like Monster Force and BattleTech.
