yeah I was thinking itd be better off done by fans, like Hinterlands of Khuresh lore
Some other notes:
>Magic
Being so far from the polar gates, the Winds of Magic is weak and wan, allowing non-chaos and unaligned spirits to manifest, and even daemons can break free from Chaos. That does not mean they are harmless, and the Djinn of Araby are a terrifying and deadly force, more like the fae folk. Magic is difficult and complex, with less rewards. Minor chaos gods thrive here and their cults rival that of the ruinous powers.
>nobility/aristocracy
Araby relies on tribal chiefs and the semi-feudal iqta' system, so no hereditary aristoracy (unless they are kings). There are ancient dynasties and noble houses but their power is not as strong or absolute as that of the Empire/Brettonia. Succession doesnt work the same way either, the Head of a House can be succeeded by his cousin even if he has a hundred sons
>slaves
Araby has a ton of them, including slave-soldiers. Each region/sultanate has its own flavour of slave-soldier, janissaries for North, Mamelukes for Central, Ghulams for South, Chela for Arabyan Ind, etc
>religion
Rather then copying the Empires religion, we’ll use the lore from old editions, Islam, Zoroastrianism, and Tolkiens henotheistic system.
There’s the supreme creator deity and there are angels/lesser deities, who are suspiciously similar to the Nehekharan pantheon and the chaos gods of law.
