Thats the worst of both worlds.

Anon didn't seem interested in bringing them all to the same level. And being a prisoner has a lot of RP drawbacks.
They dont need to be changed as much if everyone isn't spending ALL their points on high mage and can instead do what they want. It makes origins more fluff/background that way.
Prisoner is basically worse in fluff than Criminal with you being internatioally wanted as a escapee and hunted down and stuff.
That said we do need to address stuff like criminal giving two companions. Just give two points insead?
I can redo the suggested changes to give everyone equivalent of 4 points like I originally planned
Proposed Change:
Prisoner:
+4 points to spend on magic.
Villager:
4 Mundane Talents and you can spend multiple in one talent to become a grandmaster
Foreigner:
Two Low Tier Magics or one Mid Tier Magic that come from a distant land and remains largely unknown to the locals
Tribal:
Unique Appearance and Combat Skills or Archmage
Legacy:
Four Guild Points for your guild or four points for yourself, representing using your inheritance to improve your guild or yourself.
Criminal:
A low tier magic that has been improved to Mid Tier, or a mid tier magic with a personal flair that you used to make your living
Wanderer: You recieve your quest rewards immediately and can take an additional one. if we decide to universally hand out quest rewards beforehand you have two more than everyone else.
Wealthy:
You are filthy rich, any guild you join will recieve an additional four guild points, You may be a noble or part of the royal family - just not directly in line for the throne
Guild Size gives companions, I think we can make it translate directly to extra points for the guild only.
I'm partial to everyone getting their quest rewards instantly. Since they can add some fun fluff to builds.
