In the case of specific characters the expectation would likely instead be that people would look at them and realize those characters are pieces of shit, and not something to be proud of emulating or being compared to.

Already youve got it wrong. The societies are there to show how rightoids are drawn in by dumb things like aesthetics that they dont even realize theyve been suckered in. Then they get surprised when said society does exactly what it set out to do.
