ITT: We make a League of Votann
/TG/ has made space marine chapters, chaos warbands, forge worlds, and guard regiments

However, I couldn't find a time when we made a Votann League. So we are going to do just that, using the Leagues of Votann Generator on 1d6chan

https://1d6chan.miraheze.org/wiki/Leagues_of_Votann_League_Creation_Tables

We'll come up with a name, color scheme, logo, lore etc.

Later we'll also do Planet and System:

https://1d6chan.miraheze.org/wiki/Planet_generator

https://1d6chan.miraheze.org/wiki/System_generator

First roll will be the founding of our League.

Anonymous No.96284713 [Report]
A exploration/expansion force from our league got captured by the deldar early on, every last kin got tortured to death or turned into horrific monstrosities except for 1 brave steeljak/combat focused iron kin whom one of their crazed flesh scientists from the haamonculi covens dared himself to "make him suffer as much as a authentic living organism" just to see if he could do it
He was put on the combat arenas and fought agaisnt countless foes from all over the dark city and fostering a increasing AM like resentment and hatred towards all non-kin kind, specially the drukhari. Every last one of his processors got heated up over the thrill of combat and processing the ways to make them pay for what they did to him and his kin. He would frequently lash out agaisnt his captord and tried to burn his own processors over 17 times
Once he got sent alongside a force of other slaves and haemonculi for a raid on a imperial mining world, where he found a way to kill off his captives and escape into the wilderness living off with the scraps from a recent waaaagh that invaded the world. Soon enough he got back in contact with his fellow kin and his league over a long series of connections that took him 50 years of exile, now he serves as the main body guard for the league's leader and is a absolute beast in melee combat, willing to go through outrageous lengths to save his kin and not be separated from them again. Also huge fucking grudge agaisnt the space elves for obvious reasons, he claims the aeldari are no different and just don't do the same horrific things out of pride in being prudes.
Half the league's exploration force being kidnapped by drukhari is a good excuse for the dwarves to fucking hate elves and smash them into a pulp with big robot hands and drills.

Missed that one, so Chorfs aren't an option unless we stretch it to Chaos v. Chaos.

Though we could still keep a lot of the vibe. Like after digging deep into their Mining World, they found a Tesseract Labyrinth containing a powerful Daemon. Study of it combined with Ulumeathic contact had them make a thing that could trap demons for use as a power source with near-zero leakage.

Of course, the scale they have started using it means their worlds are seriously tainted and fucked up looking. But they aren't chaos worshipers, they're just mining chaos, building up experience so they can try to transfer the Tesseract daemon into a gigantic reactor for very cheap power. The "minor" warp taint is making them run low on trade partners because they're "horrified" that the League is "gping too far", so they need to cut costs, see.

A longer term version of dug deep and found something incredible, got too greedy, unleash Balrog trope.

I'm going to do my best to consolidate all our lore into one post, bear with me a moment...

>25th-26th Millennium-- Age of Isolation
Our still unnamed league is founded a means of extracting resources from a mining world.

>M27
We decide on the color yellow.

At some point our League gets really good at making ale.

>010 M30-- Horus Heresy
The Iron Warriors attack our world with a bunch of daemon engines.
A Kharl (going by the Votann name generator their name for now is "Vak Hypek" unless someone comes up with a better name later) manages to slay a huge dragon shapped daemon engine solo, becoming a legend among our league for generations.

>150 M30
Our league forms a strong trade alliance with the Ulumeathic League to better understand daemon engines that attacked them a century ago.

>809 M41
Ulumeathic League is mostly wiped out by Tyranids.

>M41
An unspecified amount of Kin are captured by the Dark Eldar with only one unnamed steeljak being the only survivor.

>999 M41-- Fall of Cadia
Great Rift opens and we are forced out of the galactic core.

>M42
Our league encounters the Tau for the first time, declarers a grudge against them, and starts a conflict that is still ongoing to this day.

I think that's everything so far. Let me know if anyone wants to add anything. Also we still need a name and logo.

League's Homeworld
>Mining World: Metal and mineral-rich planets, covered in city-sized mines and refineries, producing a fuckton of raw materials for the local Forge World, possibly extracting plasma (for direct use or as a fusion catalyst for nuclear transmutation to needed materials) from the stars or rare gases from the Gas Giant they orbit as well. Often the retirement home and final resting place for criminals and 'criminals' alike.

> Tepid (+51°C to +100°C/124°F to 202°F): A world on the edge. Any hotter, and any water will just boil away

>alliance or deal with Ulumeathic.
>The worlds of the Uluméathic League would be ravaged by the Tyranid Hive Fleet Naga. Beginning its invasion in 801.M41, the Uluméathic outer colonies were devoured in a matter of days while Genestealers managed to stowaway on fleeing refugee ships, leading to a Genestealer infestation on the Varryean Space Docks.[2a] In 809.M41, the throne world of the Uluméathic League was devoured by the advancing Tyranids and the remaining Uluméathi worlds declared a state of quarantine. Fortunately for the Uluméathi, Eldar forces from the Malan'tai, Iyanden, and Idharae Craftworlds managed to destroy the Hive Fleet by 812.M41.In light of the devastation suffered by the Uluméathic League it is unlikely they will pose anywhere near the same threat that they did before the arrival of the Hive Fleet. Indeed, it seems humanity considers the Uluméathic all but destroyed by the end of the 41st Millennium.
So I think they were a great ally prior to the Tyranids but I think at this point the League takes mercenary work for them to try to reclaim anything valueable from their lost worlds or taking ground from the Imperium. But it seems like the League's mostly on their own.
