You could weave and evade attacks with ease, sure, but you won't deal any damage with that and good luck concentrating on a spell.
I'd be more concerned about whatever bullshit racial bonus to magic they may have.
Hell, I'd saddle them up with reduced spell damage unless they take time to channel the spell.
Otherwise they cast a "fairy-sized" version with diminished range/area/damage.
