Azog was the king of Moria, he killed Thror for trespassing, and his host at Azanulbizar came out of Moria and retreated back into Moria and it was Dain that said he saw the Balrog so they couldn't retake the hold.

In my fantasy-cyberpunk/bootleg-shadowrun setting, the elves are extremely advanced since they combined magic with tech to form magitech.
Everyone can use magitech, but the elves built advanced orbital space stations that are closer to living worlds than to artificial structures. Anyways, spaceships! I've always thought the ideal spaceship for a space opera party lies somewhere between the coziness of an RV and the lethality of a small frigate or maybe a destroyer. A little bigger than the Millennium Falcon but a lot smaller than White Base, if that makes sense. Any bigger and you'd need some NPC crew to justify it, but that can also be fun. Problem is, space fights are often lame in TRPGs, as you've usually got one PC doing almost everything and everyone else just sitting back. Fragged Space once again does something nice with giving every character ship-based stats on top of their player stats so you can split up between manning engineering, combat turrets or piloting/navigation, but I haven't gotten a chance to see it actually play out.
