Every magical girl power is sourced from a gem, sometimes a gem is a literal gem, a shiny rock, sometimes its a pendant, a band, staff, and so on, but there is always one. Sometimes the gem is inside their bodies, sometimes inside their soul, but the symbol of their powers is a physical or spiritual object which can be reached, broken, corrupted, healed and so on.
If you want madoka(in spirit) keep Ritual Path Magic as is, use ZERO cinematic rules, and give each player 1-2 hundred points to make their characters. Limit their physical bodies to only mundane physical and mundane mental advantages.
Allow them a additional 2-4 hundred points to build their gems, you'll want said gems to be in a locket, armor piece(chestplate, whatever), magical staff or weapon of some sort, like a bow or sword, allow your players to choose.
If your gem goes too far from you your body straight on gives up, do a HT roll each second the gem is further than 30cm from you, pass out on a fail, each subsequent fail drains 20 character points until you run out of advantages and skills to erase, then you die.
You may choose to take that many points as a disadvantage to stay alive or not lose any skills.
This effect is your soul being corrupted.
Allow any kind of advantages to their gems, include magical girl equipment in such. This allows to make staffs, bows, guns, swords and what not with powers in them for a discount in cost, so you can't use the powers without the sword, so having your weapon knocked out of your hand after transforming denies you those powers and what not.
Following such will give you magical girls which will get hurt and broken apart by getting hits which goes past their defensive spells, blocking and dodge.
