I know this is about classes, but I feel like races are a far more reliable way to gauge players.
Tiefling players in particular have always been the most annoying to me by never wanting to learn the damn rules.
Players who play the more exotic races are usually cool to be around.

>Wizard

God, I wish that were me.
Every game I join always seems to have at least two people playing Wizards, and it's so fucking lame how many encounters that could be a fun chance for roleplaying and clever solutions just get completely handwaved away by some Wizard using cheat code spells. I hate Wizards so fucking much, but it feels like they're the most played class in the game.

F-Tier : Wizard-niggers that feel entitled to be the sole spotlight both in combat and narrative.

I fucking love how much wizard-niggers cry that they aren't the top 1 in every category in Pathfinder 2E. Martials have the audacity to beat them in single target damage.

Personal experience:
>actual friends now outside of the game
wizard, paladin, fighter
>reliable stranger to welcome to a new game
ranger (dwarf or human), artificer, barbarian, bard (halfling)
>needs to be trained or booted quickly
monk, cleric, ranger (not dwarf/human/elf), druid, bard (not halfling/tiefling), sorcerer
>needs someone to vouch for them but they're on thin ice
warlock, rogue (not half/full elf)
>instant kick if not already somehow filtered pre-game
druid (half/full elf), ranger (half/full elf), rogue (half/full elf), bard (tiefling)

>Barbarian - B
Usually turn out boring, but understand their job. Have run into shockingly few of the retard barbarians who pick fights constantly, but that might just be luck.
>Bard - D
Either played by a dude leaning into the horny bard memes or a girl playing a self-insert. Usually not mechanically incompetent, but the roleplay is always bad.
>Cleric - A
Having to pick a god and follow a system of beliefs seems to funnel in more competent players. Usually.
>Druid - A
Basically the same as clerics often, although it attracts more girls. Can be annoying if they go hippy mode, but I've found this to be rare.
>Fighter - C
Basically same as barbarians, but attracts more newbies.
>Monk - C
I've never seen someone roleplay a monk seriously. Ever. But usually if they pick the class, they have some idea what they're doing.
>Paladin - C
A good paladin player is S tier, but there's a lot of bad ones and power gamers dragging it down.
>Ranger - F
Almost exclusively played by clueless newbies or people who think they're too cool to just play rogue or fighter.
>Rogue - C
Like paladins, a good rogue player is S tier, but there's a lot of shitty edgelords dragging it down.
>Sorcerer - C
Played by newbies who think wizards aren't cool enough, but they usually pick things up quicker than other newbies, so not as bad.
>Warlock - F
It's the worst aspects of everything. Edgelords, power gamers, players who don't take the gimmick seriously, newbies who think it's cool.
>Wizard - D
Usually played by power gamers who will whine a lot if the DM takes literally any steps to mitigate caster power.

guy you quoted here
the people in these pickup games abhor reading the rulebooks, so those classes with the most required reading are anathema to them

Ok so, for 3.5e...
>A-RANK
Base-ass non-magical classes (e.g. Fighter), because the people that play them are usually new and want to play their Guts-Wannabe #201992. They are not rules-lawyers, are here to generally have 'fun', and will not attempt to use every loophole in the book. The easiest to handle.
>B-RANK
Gishes, 3.5e Initiators, etc. Basically either new guys that realize their purely-martial characters can't do shit in high levels, or people that want to play 'magic weaboo warriors'. Not a problem at the table thus far.
>C-RANK
Spellcasters of any variety. They either have no idea what they are doing playing the most broken classes, or they know exactly what they are doing. I either have to heavily homebrew their progression and introduce ban-lists, or see the shitshow unfold when everyone gets Forcecage, Polymorph Any Object, Simulacrum, Contingency, Time Stop, Gate, Wish, and so on. Basically an unwritten contract that we will not be hitting the high levels as they would expect, we will and it will be a dumpster fire, or won't be hitting them at all.
>D-RANK
Gimmick classes that are horrid and people chose them because they 'sounded' interesting (e.g. Truenamer). Basically you are forcing me to re-write your class to be functional, when you could just play a class that already works and does the same thing (e.g. play a fucking wizard and handwave all your damn spells so that they are 'truenaming chants' instead), but oh no you have to be a snowflake with a snowflake class that is unplayable.

Unfortunately it attracts some of the most obvious and worst types of players. I've enjoyed plenty of Warlock players and love messing around with them as a DM, but they were very much the exception to the rule.

Justified. Any DM who doesn't run his wizards as superhumans(in training if lowlvl) is a bad DM.

Warlock players are all insufferable fags into freakshit wtf are you on about.

From my experience running 3.5, Pathfinder, and 5e for over 15 years.

>Like
Fighters, Barbarians, Clerics, Rogues, Paladins, Maguses, Sorcerers, Witches

>Dislike
Bards, Druids, Alchemists, Oracles, Monks, Warlocks, Rangers

>REALLY Dislike
Wizards, Summoners

I noticed that certain classes turned great players into insufferable assholes. For example, a one my players was great when he played a Paladin, but turned into the most powergaming metagaming power tripping faggot when he played Wizard. Sorcerer players have been good at both gameplay and roleplaying, while Wizard players have always been awful for some reason.

Summoner is like Wizard turned up to eleven. Hate that class and anyone who plays it.

>>96355090
Warlock attracts a lot of edgelords and, for some ungodly reasons, sex pests. Usually bard and druid are reserved for that. I can count on both hands the amount of players I've had who played female (tiefling of course) warlocks who were obviously working out some kind of fetish or kink.

They were working out daddy issues. Female warlocks are ALWAYS working out daddy issues. It's usually super obvious if you give them chances to interact with their patrons.

They're whiny power gamers, but usually not the worst person at the table in my experience. That's reserved for warlocks and rangers.
