>"competitive" game
>everything is determined by RNG
LMFAO

What specific games are actually fun and skill based then?

yes, tournyfags are the biggest niggercattle in gaming and thankfully brutally exploited by greedy companies forcing them to buy minis for hundreds of dollars every other week when a wording is changed based on the latest sales report

Tourneytrannies are the lolcow cattle of the 40k sphere, sadly they are also the reason it will crash and burn just like Warmachine did

Would that be so bad? Minis will get even cheaper.

Rules will get worse as well as lore and models to appeal to tourneytrannies (female custodes, for example)

Minis are already free with a 3d printer, the secondary market has lost much of its purpose within the ecosystem.

In order to enjoy any tabletop game, you have to switch off the meta, stop watching commentary constantly, ignore industry gossip and tournament dramas and just play the fucking book as it came in the box, get your minis done to a standard you're ok with, make some terrain (aquarium terrain and felt cut outs are fine) and play ten games with your friends or family to get a foothold.

If you haven't done this, you're wasting time here. I don't wsnt to hear about a game you played 10 years ago. Just buy tne box for the game you want, paint the models and playit a bunch of times as it was written. The rest of shit you hear about is there to siphon your time, energy, creavity, joy and money. All are finite.

>it's even better when the company has more than one good starter set so you can mash two together and call it a day

The debate on having RNG in wargaming goes back to Prussian military aristocracy
Anonymous No.96352508 >>96352542
the real RNG is not knowing which of your $100 models will suddenly be rendered useless by the next codex/edition update

It's mostly determined by the movement phase
