In order to enjoy any tabletop game, you have to switch off the meta, stop watching commentary constantly, ignore industry gossip and tournament dramas and just play the fucking book as it came in the box, get your minis done to a standard you're ok with, make some terrain (aquarium terrain and felt cut outs are fine) and play ten games with your friends or family to get a foothold.
If you haven't done this, you're wasting time here. I don't wsnt to hear about a game you played 10 years ago. Just buy tne box for the game you want, paint the models and playit a bunch of times as it was written. The rest of shit you hear about is there to siphon your time, energy, creavity, joy and money. All are finite.
