I just got all of them that interest me over time, but i'm also stupid...
Started in n2 with QK, switched to nomads, then in n3 got onyx, then morats, decided to bite the bullet and get the missing vanilla staples. Afterwards expanded into bakunin. Then came spiral corps. Last in n3 i got the entire mrrf range shortly before they went away.
In n4 i bought heavily into tak and sval (and a bit of vPanO) for a painting project. This year i decided to get everything i missed in CA and got me the shasvastii big box and some more stuff, painted it all in 3 months and love playing them. Currently i collect old school o.s.s.s.s.s. models, just to say that i play o.s.o.s.s.s.s.s.

Weirdly, only nomads and tohaa (that i got somehow, don't remember buying them) don't see the table at all. But i also have a pretty active community and can almost get 2 games a week every week.

Also yes, everything i field besides my aleph, nomads and non-spiral tohaa is fully painted.

Add to that concilium exploding, the circulars getting fragged by exrah, speculos everywhere, tohaa sabotage, ca incursions, "ca" incursions (read attacks from a hyperpower on others/itself to cpver shit up or to collect insurance money), routing the entire business sector and mail correspondence, babysitting everyones propaganda intake, and more...

Iโ€™m talking about the physical rulebook. The online one is free but includes only the rules, while the physical one costs money and used to contain both the rules and lore, although now they really just focus on the lore and keep the rules on the live online docs.

In the OP you can find a very old N2 (N1?) lorebok, much of it is still valid although not updated to the latest events in the setting of course.

Sup dudes,

Any tips on building interest in Infinity? The local scene died in the arse around wotan and my friend group doesn't give two shits if it isn't 40k, dnd, or mtg. I've been giving some thought into becoming a warcor just to build up a scene and float the idea of stocking and demo games with the other lgses in the area, but it seems like a lot of work for a moderately high chance of zero payoff.
Anonymous No.96387138 >>96387238

Being a Warcor gives you some perks from CB afaik, discounts and stuff like that.
>As a member of the Warcor team, you can earn Warcor Points (WP) for each event you organize. These points will give you access to discounts on products in our online store. This is how we thank you for your dedication to the game and your work in spreading the word.
>The Warcors have enabled a secret channel in our forum, where only the people inside the Warcor program have access to it.
>In addition, Warcors can access exclusive material and participate in special pre-order campaigns for the most outstanding products of the season, before they are available to the general public.
Buying an Operation box and giving demo games is probably the most direct way to create some interest.

Thankfully the old app appears to still work on mobile without signing in. That means it's still going to be easy to onboard new people.

It's a really minor change, but going from "download the app, instantly start messing with listbuilding, reading the rules wiki, etc." to "download the app, sign up for an account, put in your personal information, check your email for a confirmation code, input the code, and now you can start using the app" adds enough of a barrier to make some people not bother doing on the spot, and then they forget or change their mind later.

It all depends on the models in question, but if you have a saw, file and sharp knife you should be fine. If you have a 3d printer you can just do weaponswaps at will, practicaly. It's not plastic though, so i won't give you a false impression, i hope. Getting moderatly skilled at using greenstuff will be a great boon.

Fuck i'm old. I keep forgetting that there are people in the hobby now who never had a metal figure in hands before.

You know, maybe you should take it slow and just get the brawler/druze/kaplan box to use as bounty hunters instead. Then add stuff to them from your bitzbox that fits.

The only difference is that the coordination isn't dashing out to melee someone beyond B2B, but rather supporting each other and enabling the unit's other skills (360 Visor by covering each other's backs, Regeneration by patching the other up, and +1B/Neurocinetics by providing each other spotting or covering fire). I feel like more people play Shinden just because theyโ€™re easier to get into with all the new packs and crap. Havenโ€™t seen anyone play Oban really in my area or shown interest in them, which is a shame cause they really are one of the few sectorials that can do suicide melee rushes with a core and somehow make it work. If you really like smoke plays and melee, Oban is probably where itโ€™s at, Shinden is more speccโ€™ed into gun fighting and tricks with individual units just sometimes being good at melee

Looks like knights won this one, that leader is fromsoft as fuck. My one complaint is I'd have gotten rid of the chunky shoulderpad and maybe move the folded arms up a lil more to make it look more dark souls and less like Fantasy Infinity.

while very tropey, it wouldnt really hurt infinity if there was an actual ayylmao bug faction that are just bugs that the entire gimmick is to have a higher unit count then the others and are largely melee with a few spitter units and flying units

What do people typically do for demo games? 3v3 line troops? Do you do a follow-up game where you include a model with special rules? Do you leave out extra rules like fireteams and lieutenants? Need to get a scene kickstarted in my area so Iโ€™ve gotta work out how to do this

Haven't played in a long while, but the bigbox mini-campaigns seemed pretty popular wrt pulling newbies. You get pretty much get from basic bitch mechanics to a taste of ITS, the rest is big game stuff like link teams, combat groups and such.

When I played my first demo game, warcor started with 3v3 (2 line + designated Lt, it was Wildfire operation set) just to make us understand orders and most basic stuff before adding rest of the units along with explanation of new rules and changing mission to supplies as to make us try to actually do the objectives instead of just shooting each other (I actually attempted to dive with lone line troop to one of supply boxes after losing Lt in failed f2f roll, didn't work due to getting shoot down in the process but it was close enough to illustrate nature of the game since my opponent didn't secure any). When I played "normal" 150p game later, we only skipped fireteams.

The best I watched was probably miniwargaming, but even then a majority of the time it isnโ€™t โ€œgreatโ€. Infinity is kind of hard to make a good looking battle report on since 95% of the board is just terrain compared to other games where models take up more real estate of the board.

Speaking of which, Rob Shepard if you lurk here I like your above angle screenshots for your battle reports and the whole play-by-play but for the love of god mate please take some like cinematic snaps at least of some cool moments, since your battle reports just look like a bunch of buildings with little markers everywhere and at a glance itโ€™s impossible to tell what the fuck is going on.
