What would you call someone like a Jesuit non denominationally? Like someone from a religious order whos primary roll is academic, exploratory, and espionoge/intel. Like the Jesuits in the Chinese, japanese, or mongol courts. Or those abord exploration ships in the age of exploration.
Inquisitor seems too proactive. as their main roll isn't routing out, but intelligence gathering and conversion.
