>he's playing
It's very weird that 40k fans have put "playing" as some noble pursuit on a pedestal and treat is with such reverence. They often forget that this hobby is multifaceted and has three major tenets: building/crafting, painting, and playing.
Simply "playing" means absolutely nothing when you completely neglect one or both of the other aspects of the hobby. You can play every single day and you're still a hobbylet if you're not fully painting your armies, building immersive terrain or converting your doods, etc.
Modern Warhammer fans fail to grasp the concept that quality is vastly superior to quantity, and it's simply better to play once a quarter with an amazing looking army, table, scenario, opponent, etc. that to play endless pickup games with grey tide on ugly ass tables with the random smelly freaks at your LGS
