the races are mostly irrelevant, only detrimental in a few cases like beastmen and constructs where your build will always suck because of the starting stats, but they make it up with the unique traits you get from some of the more powerful ones lower down, like if you pick changeling you don't need magic or spirit to be a shapeshifter so you can just focus on wits and luck instead or something

the thing this author has real trouble with is thematic coherence with the way he uses names in ways that are irrelevant to or outright contradict their usual meaning, but despite that still insists on using cliche names instead of just making up his own, the races partially suffer from this but the body perk names are some real retardation

it's still a good cyoa even if he fails in that area quite badly though

For the sake of identifying legal members of a Tide in an objective format, we're first going to list the appellation of a character and a permalink to their build, then their NPCs in the order shown by the CYOA, and then their Youth and Quest. Events All characters then have a parenthesis explaining their perks and deaths, in that order. Events will not be listed except for By Design. PCs will be indexed by their location and then alphabetically. This is only a catalogue for builds with Outer Tide.

Any ideas for what Autoantecedent spirit tap does? All I've got is permanent changes or self targeting for ideas. Maybe it works on objects/any script you can touch?

Actually editing the script in detail for anything you can touch does sound very potent. Preprogrammed matter.

I could also see it allowing you to further specify what they become and apply inherently-magical inborn gifts. Probably with restrictions on how many, since slapping on 20 points worth of gifts feels like a bit too much, but it's a pretty common pattern where adding a limb removes a restriction, and "no inborn gifts" is one of the restrictions on Spirit Tap.

Tank already said that permanent changes are not permissible because its too broken. The most autoantecedence can do is make the change last for hours instead of minutes. I could see self-targeting being ok though.

I will tack on the Outer Tide perk to it, since it cost me nothing. And now for flavor...

The Longest March begins anew—a Legacy March. While the world above struggles against the Ecumene, I remain in the Underground, waging my own war. With each step and every kill, I push back the darkness.
Our assault begins with a double strike into the Ecumene’s basement at Midday Crossing. Once we gather there, the march continues toward Tsoshu, then westward. Along the way, we make a detour through Chervolonin—not only to claim the 3/8th's corpse for Baf, but also because it is our inheritance as the heirs of the Longest March.
The road leads to two final adversaries: Dis, and whatever waits below, and then the Second Seat. With my skill at piloting war machina, and with a companion who can forge new ones, the path splits after Parsmunia.
If Vtorusha cannot be reasoned with, then the choice is clear—we fight. It will be Armored Core against the God-Killer Machine, and afterward, I must face Charlotte.
But if the machina can be controlled, then a greater conflict awakens: the Second War of Heaven and Earth. In that struggle, Buki must be fulfilled.
Perhaps I will not survive. But by then the Underground will be cleansed of Nightmare, making half the world habitable once more. From there, the scattered outposts and reclaimed lands can be reforged into something enduring: the Eternal Empire, named for its unyielding, undying nature.

Sometimes, when a long-running setting has over the years become confusing or boring, a reset is the best way forward. You make the reset into a fun story, of course -- you love a good crisis on infinite earths -- but in the end you bring things to a new-but-recognizable baseline, where simpler stories are ready to be told. That's all I'm doing, really, destroying the world. It deals with the usurper, and whatever YMRD comes up with next will be better than *this*.

Rhucuphre has a plan, and more importantly she knows how to hide her schemes from 0^0. I'll start by following in her footsteps, and work from there. Izhitsa as a death letter is another idea, but I have fewer leads in that line of research, so it'll have to wait until I'm older. That's fine; I have time. I meet my Yat by ending the world with me in it, after all.

Is Malice + Omega with Khier just free points in Outer Tide? The moment she gets chosen by someone else and they go for Ot the fate gets overwritten, and nothing really stops anyone from taking out a Malice on a character that already has a Malice so everyone but the one person who actually has Omega as their companion can get 5 points. Plus its not even like the death has to come to pass before we get points, we accept them the moment we apply it to their slot.

Providence? Fate? Chance? Causality? Spare me the poetry—what I want is MONEY. And I’ll have it.
My seed capital? Easy. Play the Blues and Whites against each other, skim a modest dividend off the Doria-Mamet trade, and slip Dei the location of Erginter’s corpse in exchange for a little goodwill. The Underground, my friend, exists for commerce, not conscience.

Who needs a Royal Claim when gold buys loyalty faster than any crown? With coin, I command mercenaries, mages, informants, courtesans, even goats—yes, goats, the most versatile investment in the known world.

Generous, too, I am. For my fellow Outsiders, every purchase toward liberation comes at a merciful 50% discount. Their victories expand my client base, after all.

And this little Buki? Destiny insists we’re bound to clash—but no one ever specified the battlefield. Can she halt the glorious rise of my WokDonalds empire, or untangle the elegant artistry of my money-laundering enterprises? What is ‘Causality’ before the holy trinity of Cash Flow, Compound Interest, and CAPITALISM?

My mother is Zwa, so I'm naturally an exile from the Empire, with my birth being the reason we had to leave. So it makes sense for my birth location to be somewhere right next to the Empire. My father is a Drow, who are most welcome in the Empire and Dis. Dis is also less likely to see us targeted by loud anti-Empire groups, like would be more possible in the Exarchate and Malkuth, because Dis doesn't have an open border conflict with them.

Even so, pretty sure even now the only builds in the current Tide that have taken Omega have conflicting options with one another, Escher having Dei as a mother while Demonic Nightmare Maker chose it, and Vee the Dream Librarian has a similar issue with the same parent as the Flagellant Gambler (Afanisiy Sauromat).

Depending on what characters you consider to be in your Outer Tide it can still be open.

Fair enough, I just don’t like wasting posts.

It’s going to be hard to get around being a coddled and sickly child, but I’m an Outsider with a cool dad, so I’m gonna be fine. Once I’ve collected my little band of fucked up misfits, and cured myself, we’re going on a journey of self-discovery in our sky ship. Treasures, dungeons, new friends and allies, the anime works.

I want to return in time to settle the unrest in territories, then aim our collected might at Charlie. I’d prefer to take her myself through subterfuge, but we’ve got to put on a show now don’t we? Fate demands it.

I’m going to do my best to make sure everyone gets their good end, everyone has some sort of out except Daddyo, and that will culminate with letting Kallio get her big final stand before I YAT myself to drop the white witch. I’d drag her ass home if I could and attempt to shower what she’s done wrong, but I don’t think that’s in the cards.

Hopefully, the gods will smile upon me, so I can return to make sure everyone’s story ends nicely. Then I can set to work on the Uruk Hordes and assessing the nightmare beneath the world. There’s still plenty to do.

I chose JNPL because I don’t really want to be a ruler or the center of attention. I want to promote and support those who are suffering, helping to guide them to Meaning and an end of their story. But there’s work to be done and I’m the guy.

I’m not super happy with the mechanics of my build, but I know the kind of Outsider I want to be.

All that said I hate Hladvig and I am absolutely gonna fuck up his plans out of spite. I was gonna take his little assassin, just to kill him myself, but I don’t think I could pull it off in time.

Since "One" crumbles into dust when we reach adulthood, that means we can keep him around for like 50 years if we were a dwarf right? Got the parents idea from the point chart, I want more Ap, Agelessness and not to lock out the mental Gifts with Misalliance, I think they work well together and both have something good to teach.
Ouk on Rhucuphre, I know it's risky but her skillset is so interesting and I don't know what Kashtanka's craft is (probably some magic from the pic and the Sixth's Gifts). I'm going to help the Dragon Realm both with the Encounters, like, for On The Edge I will do whatever help Paxxie the most, save the sisters to keep the Empire divided, get blackmails on everyone involve, kill some or all of the sisters to make invading or negotiating easier.
And help by fathering many, just imagine 100 flying flamethrowers with all my Gifts and maybe a few more, I might bring up the idea to Paxxia, she likely know some Drakonid that want top tier kids or will want to build some institution to teach and keep track of all the super kids. A dozen squads of them could deal with the nearby Uruks and take the whole mountain range, the Twelve Riverfold and Peschanka easily too if war with the Empire break out.
I could pretend to be one of my descendant after I survive Dobro, to stay officially dead yet be able to act openly when I feel like it.
I hope I will be here for Afanasiy's Death Slot, a mirror to our Encounter. Xaxas just won't accept being eaten and Dryndedh as a dark knight is likely to get possessed because of a cursed item, so it should be just a little easier for him to get control back, or for me to help since he teach me about removing cursed items. Death "worthy of legend" for Araith likely involve her Dragon's form and the size alone will make that fight cataclysmic, something worthy of Izhe, really really cool but I don't want True Dragon to stop existing so she get Zhivete.
Xaxas's horn are black&red and Grigori look great is why picrel exist, a black scaled Grigori with crimson on the extremities.

Magical Training, Theology, Plotting, Journey of the Self

I will train to be a generalist mage, learning every type of magic and spellcasting method to understand all Meaning. Subjects aside from those mentioned in the build will also be learned to a lesser extent to find Meaning in all things.

Of great importance to everyone is Profane Lore, specifically keeping track of the ongoings of the outside world. We must all at least have a basic understanding of it. While [SRTR] wants to keep us in the Toybox for 100 years, plans cannot keep up with changes, so she may send a number of us out ahead of time (and perhaps we will be able/allowed to get back in) to deal with special situations, e.g. to turn the tide a decisive battle. Therefore, periodically updating everyone on the current state of the world is crucial.

While I wish to keep staying in the Toybox to learn from [SRTR], I will obey the exit order should it come. I can take on any role, but the ones most likely to require me are assassin, infiltrator, spymaster, politician, or some combination of thereof. Perhaps I will be the Nilmatrix of our side.

>Quest:

Everything learned. Every scenario simulated. Every possibility accounted for. Past, present, and future deduced. We will be ready. We will win.

Updating mainly to add more concrete plans and change from Daemonhost to Icon of Icons, which fits more and is better for the build. Other changes include: different parents, more inborn gifts, more mentors, and untimeskipping all picked mentors. I did not pick Profane Lore even though I spoke of it extensively because it is better to allocate the Outsider System's support to my other picks.

Probably not going to happen considering the enormous energy cost to bring you in. The whole point of the Toybox is to wait for the next Outsider, and probably be the only real moment where she can fully release all the tide. Zenia and such are special cases because they're positioned to help you as the Eleventh as much as possible in key moments, but pulling that multiple times would defeat the purpose of it all if Charlotte knows exactly how much SRTR is meddling in things and starts expecting it, especially considering losing a single person in the collection of SRTR's toybox playthings would set them back massively cause ain't like you'll get enough time to retrain someone the same as before.

Probably not, but we must prepare for the possibility even if it is unlikely because we cannot afford failure in this area. What if a decisive battle that would decide the fate of a continent needs help only we can provide at a crucial moment? It would be terrible if we are caught unprepared or even miss the opportunity. Besides, it's not like as if keeping ourselves up to date will take much of our time.
Anonymous No.96401485 >>96401543

It's not much about taking time, its more the effort and resources. Best bet is most likely SRTR herself communing with those with Stigmata in their Dreams or the Dungeons to keep updated, though as an Elder God, even one thats sealed, she's probably just able to cast an eye on everything anyway. She's already primed to put key pieces where they would help the most, but she's only go so many in her back pocket, thats why we only got significantly less than a handful of people who've directly interacted with her available for our choices.

The decisive battle she's preparing for is the 12th Outsider's arrival, hard to involve yourself in several other decisive battles unless you give up on committing for the first one. Might be better to let the continent fall to sweep it back up later with the full force.

The Old Gods wants the soul to build up Meaning. The Mortal Races dies quickly and generally change circumstances enough that it works out in their favor, but they also needed the Elder Races to effectively act as Meaning repositories, speedrun the building of civilizations so they don't have to go insane over 300 000 years of oooga booga. This didn't work out for the Mortal Races that well, so they added the Outsiders as another factor, and the Outsiders generally lean towards the Mortal Races because change and related is more possible with them. FFW to now and the Elder Races have ate shit, but taking the place of the Old Old Throne, the Firstborn Empire, the Dragon Rulers, Eternal Archaia, and whatever's going around in Poluden, is the Ecumene, who if allowed to continue onward will suck up the Meaning out of everyone's souls and stops the Ascension of everything. This isn't all bad, the Firstborn Empire fell and so would they, but it's still kinda bad because their ideas are just anti-Providence.

Anyway, Rhucuphre's right, the gameboard should be broken into fragments. Maximum meaning is only gained through maximum closed rooms.

I agree there's ambiguity to the degree they planned the major events, but the elder gods are in charge of fate-like things, and then the elves who are too "stagnant" (see Eldar race description) get wiped out in a way they believe has Meaning - all that is at the least very suggestive of elder god design.

Time becomes looser and looser as you go on. At 19 years old, your 20th year is 5% percent of your life. At 99 years old, your 100th year is 1% of your life. It doesn't work out that cleanly, maybe 34th year practically is all of your 30s, or you don't think your 1-5ths were actually your life, but your Fate has already been written by the choices you have Chanced to make, and Providence is made out of all that. All the deaths are just so you get more chances to roll the dice and actually ascend and don't have to suffer as a hylic.

Anyway, Pandaemonium is the denial of any Meaning at all. They get it but they haven't read enough. Rhucuphre is the denial of the present Gods-dictated Meaning, and she's completely right, and totally awesome, and very handsome. Establish myself as rightful King of The Exarchate. Have lots of powerful companions that have abilities and knowledge to wage war on Charlotte. Use my youth meeting companions and mastering the dynamics of this world and acceleating the tech level and seeking diplomatic unity and becoming Hegemon of an anti-Ecumene alliance based in Doria but extending around the world to fight Charlotte. At the core of this is Kalliopa Aureole who ‘True Loves’ me and will give unity of the Empire and my kingdom in the war. Seek to lead a war to push back and destroy the Ecumene.

Also have secondary goals of freeing SRTR from the toybox and reviving JNPL and working with YMRD, I’d say she owes me one anyway for helping Omega.

Companions (The master of my master is also my master, my companions companions are effectively also my companions)

Maou – Should be helpful with both her knowledge and magic and in helping to forge an anti-Ecumene alliance with Stygia and Dis
Kashtankka of the Orthrung (companion) – Timeskip all her teachings allowing to use max. potential of my inborn gifts. She herself also will have good insight and abilities to fighting Ecumene.
The Keter – Should have a lot of knowledge about Charlotte and I can gain a lot from her failures to beat her.

Blazhko – (Eirina of the Orthrung; Kilyn of the Orthrung; Jdan ordo-Dorian) – These mentors should help him to deal with magic and beomce a powerful anti-Ecumene hero.
Eirina of the Orthrung – gain more insght into Charlottes powers and how to combat her. Also seek to recruit Erina into anti-Ecumene alliance.
Kilyn of the Orthrung – Share knowledge on Charlotte’s injuries and weaknesses, use to develop moves against Charlotte, also see if she can give advice that Du’um can use. Also seek to heal her and bring her into anti-Ecumene alliance.
Jdan ordo-Dorian – Can use mentorship connection to help develop diplomatic alliance and bring Old Throne into anti-Ecumene alliance and get intelligence from future with time travelling ability. Major strategic advantage to know the future in a war.

Kalliopa Aureole – As future Empress who has ‘True Love’ on myself, we can marry and have a unified dynasty to merge the Empire and Exarchate and form the core of an anti-Ecumene alliance.
Omega – As Charlottes’ daughter should have a lot of knowledge of her and the Ecumene. Through my connection with her might also be able to contact and get assistance from YMRD.

Gunter Lilim – Can have a frieldy rivalry with him as to who can contribute more to the anti-Ecumene alliance, rightful heir to the Qliphothian Tumen or the King of the Exarchate.
Ota – Strong powers to use against Ecumeme, even a threat to Charlotte herself.
Du’um – Use her powers to try and kill any powerful suitable foes including Charlotte herself.
Oko Shtorma – Heavy hitter in the war against the Ecumene

Dobrava (Hot Spot Troubles; A Calm and a Storm; Shadow of the God)
Inga Yesod – Has a lot of knowledge, so should be useful in undoing Charlotte and maybe reviving JNPL and freeing SRTR. Will also raise Nilmatrix as Undead after her defeat.
Nilmatrix - With Dobrava’s help, my perfect victory is predestined against Nilmatrix

No, not at all. In terms of pure strength, the only thing the cyoa gives you are inborn gifts. So stacking them synergistically is the real mechanical benefit of being an Outsider. But when it comes to killing a god, how much good is fast legs and gimmick hands going to be? Obviously, there’s a strong argument for certain eyes and such, but do these parlor tricks really amount to much in the face of Charlie? The foreknowledge and metaknowledge are your real advantages, which you get regardless of what you pick.

JNPL could've ended elven immortality centuries ago if that were all she cared about, but she's the patient one who prefers comfy soul enrichment that doesn't burden mortals too much. The slow decline of the elves over centuries which was happening before Charlie showed up is much more in line with her character.

Genocide to speed things along and add drama is a SRTR thing. Charlie picked SRTR as her patron. >Father: Unnotable One, Wlador of the Imortalii (Yery)
Born of tribal folk from the deep interior of the continent who travelled far serving as petty 'labourers.' Of the violent variety who crossed the border into muddish territory. Only one of their children lived to adulthood.

>Tumen Race
With hair of red and swarthy complexion, fittingly bloodthirsty and maddened for an Outsider.

> Insular / Everman
Not particularly well educated, Qarg learned only what his parents and employers beat into him, forcing him to become a jack of all trades in learning. A man more inclined to grunt like a fool to play his part, hiding his understanding until it is much too late for his 'master'.

> Mentors; Gewrgrin Aureole, Kilyn of Othrung
Innocuous teachers, a half dead woman in a box and a book. Fitting for the secrets they hide.

> Companions; Su'uq, Oka Shtorma (Lesser Yus)
A fairy and a giant. Good enough for a maddened Tumen mercenary.

> Encounters; A Bridge, A Toll, A Troll

> Death; VEDI
> “Let the future decide. For now, for a long century we have war to make.”

I know how magic works in OR on a fundamental level. It’s very clear about that. What I’m not sure about is how it translates to the everyday person or mage. I assume plenty of people know the right Godscript combo for fireball. Going off that, different mages may have worked out different modifiers for said fireball. And as you complicate the concept and intent, it gets more and more dangerous as the script might have unintended consequences. Let alone using letters without clear meaning. It seems to be a system that’s both limited and unlimited depending on a ton of variables. It’s likely safer to try and impact the external world than directly affect the self or other beings. Further, the Majin are living proofs that even one letter can be interpreted in a myriad of ways. With all that said, how are YOU going to use magic, anon?

its better to compare it to the other 1 point powers and think to yourself, is this as useful or powerful as these choice?
you could also make a benefit stronger than 1 point if it also works as a drawback kind of like evil eye being really strong for 1 point but is inconvenient since it can't be turned off

for example, I took a blessing that upon my death (took buki too, fuck you 0^0) the one who dealt the final blow would receive same single final wound as me, which is strong but is also inconvenient and the perpetrator could still survive this depending on the method of my death

>>96404224
>if a blessing to instinctively feel the rhythm of the story is too broken
depending on how accurate this feeling is, if it is something like the sense that an important story/fate event is going to happen to you or someone nearby soon it would be more than fine
if it's straight up discount all-glimpse where you have detailed information on what is about to happen then I would argue its too much, the exact balance is up to you to find

>A blessing of empathy might be more in line with my JNPL patron
this one would be pretty good if you go for a charisma type of build

>feeling just what threads to pull to get the most amount of impact
if it's just in social situations, like getting feelings for the weakest links or those most likely to betray their companions then I would say this is balanced

Insular bonuses kinda suck, in general. The ingrained knowledge isn't all that valuable; you can learn that stuff manually if it's important, and going insular locks you out of much-more-valuable knowledge from mentors.

Bilingual can be a lot of points if you build around it, though. Like an Alf from the Exarchate who speaks Spriggan has +5 ancestry, which isn't nothing. (It's even easier to get a ton of fate, but getting a ton of fate in the languages section means you struggle to actually spend the fate, since your mentor and companion choices are quite restricted.)

Not true Justice is about balance. That is why the human personification of it is a cute blind woman with scales. She is blind because she is impartial and fair and won't privlege someone over superficial traits. Her goal is to reward good and punish bad. Doing too much punishment is unjust because it tips the scale past what balance is, not enough punishment is also unjust because it's not enough to balance the scale.

Tricking Charlie is definitely a viable plan -- YRMD flat out hands you that info -- but I don't think your trick will work out. If Charlie thinks you've got Zelo, she'll try to trap you in an epic battle, and you'll almost certainly lose lose some of those battles. You'll take injuries and lose allies but miraculously survive, and Charlie will notice that you're not dying when you should. You are punishing people because it would be "fair", with no reasoning or objective beside having to create a balance, when, at least theoretically, the objective of punishment is repairing the damage you did, with fees and labor, and give you an occasion to reform.
You have already killed them, the only point in torturing them is satisfying your ego by calling yourself just.
>And I don't think equating what I said to Charlie is very fair, she is literally trying to unbalance things and make things unequal.

Sure, but All-Glimpse is a rare gift with a range limitation that requires skill to use (see the Playing Traitors event). It's also inherently tied to the god-script, so Charlie has been actively suppressing it in the Ecumene. There's nothing in the CYOA suggesting that she has someone with All-Glimpse to call on, and even if she does, All-Glimpse has counters -- se Rhucuphere's mentorly teachings.

>>96404902
The CYOA explicitly tells you under Nilmatrix's entry that she can't see what you chose. She has to actually observe you and make educated guesses. Deus ex is a powerful tool to do that, but it has limitations (as described by YMRD), and Charlie is probably limited to the sight-range version that YMRD has -- her stated limitations don't make sense if she has deific omniscience.

>>96404910
The outsider system companions can still be crippled, or give up on you and leave, or turn traitor, or anything else bad that isn't actually dying. But I was more thinking about non-system allies when I said you'd take losses.

I don't think Buki is an inherently bad choice, but I do think it's easy to fuck up. It means that your plot armor falls off at exactly the moment when things become the most dangerous for you. You want to be reinterpreting what is meant by "confrontation" to your advantage, not just throwing yourself at Ganondorf without even picking up the master sword.

I personally theorize that her natural law is enforced by Enrithmaic in the same way that Eldar law was enforced by High Elven. There's a few places in the CYOA that support this, but the big one is the description of Enrithmaic.

Either way tho, my main point is that it's difficult but possible to keep secrets from her, and choosing the right characters will help quite a bit with that.

God script is provably nondecidable. Proof:

Premise 1: The question of whether a particular computer program halts cannot be determined by a turing machine (google the halting problem for more info)

Premise 2: Fate, defined in this context as the state of a thing or person at the end of its meaningful life, can be directyl detected by the all-glimpse

Premise 3: A program halting or not is part of that program's fate

Correlary 1: By P2 and P3, the All-Glimpse can solve the halting problem.

The all-glimpse is powered by the god-script, so the godscript can solve the halting problem. Threfore, the godscript can solve at least one problem that the turing equivalence class cannot solve.

Therefore, godscript-magic is either a superset of the turing equivalence class (if it can solve all Turing-complete problems) or has no relationship to the Turing equivalence class (if it cannot)

This is not a proof, while all-glimpse can be used to detect the end of a subset of available problems, the halting problem requires only the existence of a subset of problems which do not have a knowable end time. For example the time taken for a soul to reach a godly state cannot be predicted using all-glimpse (as the pillars are implied to grant it and the elder gods do not know the fastest way to bring a soul to fruition or how long it will take for any given soul) therefore there is a subset of problems for which whether the process halts is unknown for godscript and it suffers from the halting problem.

True Dragon Solipsism congealed into a dream, which has been corrupted over time into a nightmare. It keeps getting worse because things keep getting added to it, Vtorusha, Bal, the Great Curse/Aat. It's relevant because dreams are you expressing your divinity prematurely, and you have all these powerful mega-monsters piling theirs on top of each other then getting twisted into insanity. It's why The Underground is unlivable, it's why nightmares dwell beneath Dis and The Lost City, it's the corruption beneath the Midnight Point, the invasive super-dream that Darina fights, and it's what Pandemonium wants to crash the world into and subsume it into. The remnant of those beings who wanted to destroy the world by making it so meaningless and miserable and torturous that the great plan of the Elder Gods would be undone, and they sought then to topple their pillars.

Yes, because they're from the same category. However, being in the risk group doesn't guarantee you have it, just means it can happen. The Outsider System just forces you to be one of the unlucky one. Whether Kalliope has it is up in the air, if she does her mother is absolutely positioned to treat her so she's not likely to have it progress. Her kids could be Southlander or Northerner or rarely hybrids.

You're right, it was a proof sketch, but the godscript can definitely solve specific undecidable problems. Take, for example, the classic "inverted halting machine" used in the usual proof of the halting problem's undecidability (pic related). The godscript can look at what the inverted halting machine is doing, lock the program in logic-error-hell like Vtorusha, give the program a soul that's capable of making decisions outside of its original programming, and tell you that the program's fate is to halt once it learns to behave. Or, alternatively, it can tell you that it won't halt, and then curse the program so every time you try to run it, a bug in the OS causes an infinite loop to coincidentally occur before the inverted halting machine finishes its instructions.

The godscript is intelligent and can cheat, is what I'm saying. Turing machines can't.

If it isn't to dossuade wrongdoers it's a wasted effort that should be focused on helping the victim. The objective must be to help people, not to bring them down, if someone is evil he's a danger to other people happiness, so you should try to make him change his ways or ensure he's not a danger for anyone, but once you kill him and evdokia eats his soul he can't be a danger for anyone, therefore there's no point in taking further measures.
Also this is still from a limited point of view, as odds are that he wasn't evil in the first place, but forced, tricked, simply on the other side, judging your enemy is a tricky thing.

They were dark because they were rebels against central elven authority and founded their own separate empire. The Dark Elves got cursed because 1) Xian was at war with them and decided to use them as his testbed for an elf-fucking curse. and 2) When they fled into the underground, the curse pinged off of the nightmare which spread it to EVERY Dark Elf.

Death slots exist regardless of whether they are filled. This is why even if you solve your death letter, if you get picked by the 12th, you will get another one.

>the CYOA does not spell it out for me exactly how the soul acts as a persistent thread between lifetimes
>therefore the existence of a soul which persists between lifetimes is meaningless and can be ignored

bad bait

I'm just repeating what Christian churches say, take it up with them.
Women create life and god is divine because he is a man who can create life.

On timeline they are called "dark elves" but on historical maps there is no mention of "dark elves". I tend to think that's because timeline and maps were written not at the same time. Also racial descriptions are somewhat contradictory and don't make a proper distinction between a cursed status and race. Anyway there is no reason to argue. I won't continue of a topic.

Well it's meaningless in Buddhism and Hinduism, why do you assume it has to hold identity by default?
