Shadowrun character

Random Japanese Teenager Isekai to this Shadowrun

>Japan has a strict law against gun
>Is a teenager so not physically fit
>does not have a good knowledge of the language of Shadowrun
>is only a Shadowrunner because it just mean you have no ID
>die in the first encounter
> roll up a new character, anon

>Pic unrelated

well, since there's not much detail given other than your PC dying on first encounter, did you do something to incite your character getting murked on first combat engagement?
honestly, just tell the story of how that happened.

All the tactical insight in the world can't stop you from being an out of shape 60+ year old man. Mike is a DYEL senior citizen manlet who is never ever shown to work out but somehow he's out there wrestling dudes a literal quarter of his age and 25% bigger than him in both muscle and height to the ground without problem. Fucking Tuco, a dude who regularly fights and is supposed to be 20-something during the show at the absolute prime of his fitness with presumably dozes of fights under his belt can't even knock Mike down. Mike is never shown to actually "fight smart" or be tactical when it comes to combat, he just grabs dudes who would curb stomp him IRL and effortlessly tosses them to the ground. He may as well have just said he was a no touch 17th degree blackbelt Aikido master.

Mike is a capeshit character.

All this text when you had
>Mike is a capeshit character.
Perfect line from the get go.

Also, nta, but there is a middle ground take: a great deal of people Mike is dealing with (not all, just majority) are effectively untrained civilians that may or might not carry a handgun. Even knowing the most basic self-defense gives you an enormous edge, even if they are physically bigger and stronger, because unlike them, you know what to do.
Still, Mike IS a capeshit character and it's especially obvious in Saul, where the actor is a decade older and can barely move, but they still go along with "Mike is this one-man army dude" schtick that was pushing it in BB already. I preferred it when he was just a clean-up guy and a seedy PI. That worked way better with the character

Maybe he just started, after retiring in 40 years in Accounting Department and with his pension being too low to pay the rent.

I've seen a handful of games that have an archetype that is basically The Normal Dude. Its a fun archetype to have at the table.

Depends entirely on a system.
Consider this: you can make a Normal Dude in Shadowrun. Good luck making one in, say, Broken Compass, where by design you can't
