Basing them off the real Musketeers of the Guard and the movies and books
>no primaris
Musketeers were supposed to be noblemen and primaris don't have the established ancient noble lineage
>no separate scouts company
They learn on the job like d'Artagnan.
>no distinction between tactical and assault marines
Musketeers were named after their use of muskets but are now famous for their sword play so all Sons of Aramis carry bolters, bolt pistols and rapiers allowing normal ranged fire as well as ccw, however, they never use jump packs because it might scorch their tabards, and they can't carry heavy weapons
>they use a lot of bikes, assault bikes, no attack bikes
Musketeers were historically cavalry and infantry, and no one wants to be carried as a passenger like a little girl. Speeders are probably okay.
>proportionally lower amount of devastator squads and armour support
Musketeers were a king's guard, not a siege force or an artillery regiment. Sounding a bit too White Scars with this and the bikes but that can't be helped.
>Their veterans can be equipped with up to four missile missile launchers or heavy bolters like devastator squads. Even they heavy weapons guys can still hand to hand with their rapier and bolt pistol combo
Because there was that one old film where the retired musketeer used a mortar. Mortars go boom and missile launchers go boom.
>Forces which are mostly mounted on bikes or speeders usually have whirlwinds or other guess weapons
Because of that one old film where the retired musketeer...
Their relationship with the ecclesiarchy is "complicated" and they don't play nicely with the guard very often but they're very happy to work with the Sisters of Battle. Units may often arrive late because they're drunk (their geneseed is fine except for their Oolitic Kidney no working on alcohol, this same defect is why they always slightly smell of cheese) or too busy fighting a duel in which case they'll charge the enemy to make up for lost time.
