I really like not-gorrok's snake mace, probably my favourite looking weapon in the game. His stabby shield is quite cool too.
Lizards in general have quite nice weapon designs, I especially like the macahuitls with little spiky balls like you see as an option for the carnosaur scarvet. The only miss for me I'd say are the kroxigor maces and the weird spears on the raptodons. Look a bit too top-heavy.

Since I haven't played AoS actively since 2.0

If I were to use the Git and Run ability with Gloomspite Gitz, would my unit still take damage on the retreat?

Similarly, can the Careening Destruction ability be used to scoot out of combat, as it is an ability to use in the movement phase?

I'd say no. Whilst Git and Run is *a* retreat ability, it's not *the* Retreat ability, and therefore takes no consideration of the capital-R Retreat ability's effect.

In many stores, it's fine for boxes to sit on shelves for many years, they don't necessarily lose value (though army sets with old edition battletomes do suffer some), especially because when GW increases prices, such boxes are generally never included, which means they get more valuable over time. Old christmas battleforces are usually very good deals if you can find them, for example, even if they're not discounted from their original price. At my lgs, it's not all that uncommon for a box to get picked up kind of randomly after sitting on the shelves for years.

We've got a complete absence of rumors for both, but right now I think Kurnothi is more likely just based on the UW band and GW pushing them during the Dawnbringer Campaign, vs Wood Elves...for which the only evidence is that they've gotten literally nothing from TOW so far, so surely it's their turn, surely.

the cinematic trailer didn't show a grey seer, that's the only part where the post diverges from a simple speculation based on the cinematic

no other posts, the confirmation that some elements of the range are going away can only come from having had a look at the battletome, which may mean the ogre book is getting produced ahead of time right now, maybe for a release in a few months or early next year?

Taking a 2nd look at this, now that it's confirmed.

Unique Tyrant-Bullshit swerve to stick the daughter in there as effectively the main character going forward, don't like it

Unique Butcher/War Machine. Fine, I guess. I always liked the Firebellies and Beastclaw Hunter/Shaman stuff more than Butchers, desu

Unique Maneater. Ok, sure. No new Maneaters though, apparently

New Hunters: What, as a unit?
New Mournfangs: I have like 12 of the old ones, I don't give a fuck
New Butchers: The old ones are hideous, so fine
New Tyrant: It's gonna look worse than the old one somehow, I'm confident
>New Gluttons/Ironguts: Whatever, I'm not going out of my way to be replacements if I don't have to
RIP Icebrow/Frost Sabres: BOOO. Also, kinda weird that they brought back the UW version if they're just gonna squat him 5 minutes later?
RIP Firebelly: Tragic
RIP Icefall Yhetees, justified, but I don't like how much Everwinter associated stuff we're losing here. I always liked the Beastclaw Theme more than the Gutbusters one. Though maybe that's the 2nd wave
RIP Leadbelchers: Beyond tragic, one of the most iconic units, and replaced with what...Hunters?
RIP Great Mawpot: OK sure
RIP Tyrant: Fuck you GW

Overall, I'll wait and see the models and overall direction, but as an Ogor player, sounds like they went in the least interesting possible direction, I'm not excited. Especially if the new models are modeled off of the Bloodpelt Hunter, who looks retarded.

I play Ogors. Nervous about the changes, it's sounding like it could be a bit closer to a High Elf-LRL transition than like, Skaven or Vampires. Good chance most of my existing models aren't compatible, especially if they do something like increase the base sizes of basic Gluttons from 40" to 50"

I love Ogors but I really don't want to have to effectively buy and paint a whole new army, and who knows where they're going to go with them aesthetically if even the plastic Tyrant is getting pushed out.

This is all personal specualtion, but I believe the Ynnari plotline was a special case. Basically, that whole thing happened shortly after Slaanesh's disappearance from the first edition of AoS, and was probably intended to be the method to oust Slaanesh from 40k if no one cared about them being MIA from AoS. this is clearly biased, but what is false and what's true?
clearly he couldn't be the oldest of them, and clearly he made use of demonsmithing before whatever perceived insult.

theres no reason to doubt that hashut is the oldest

>clearly he couldn't be the oldest of them, and clearly he made use of demonsmithing before whatever perceived insult.
>Gazing upon their elder’s works with jealous eyes and the wonders he wrought in such rugged lands, Grungni, Grimnir and Valaya came to Ur-Zorn spreading accusations of the use of proscribed artifice driven by the spirits of beasts. Yet Hashut had done no such thing. He had simply done what he had been bidden: he had tamed Ghur
It seems like he was using beast souls as fuel for machines
or whatever he defines as a beast - maybe orruks, giants, humans, etc. fall under this category?
But after he got pissed off he decided to use daemon souls instead - presumably they are more powerful

yes there is

the guy talking here is trying to throw as much validity and authority as possible towards hashut, but him being older than the others is so utterly new, and makes so little sense with how dwarfs generally respect their elders, that it simply must be a lie.
The story taken at face value only works if the other ancestor gods, grugni in particular, were uncharacteristically undwarf-like towards a dwarf who did nothing wrong (yet).
