Overwhelmingly, they are young men with an IQ 1-2 standard deviations above the average (115-130) with high social anxiety, frequently with autism or aspergers syndrome, high-functioning. They are alienated from the larger society because in past ages these were the monastic caste, the sort of people who end up transcribing a thousand times and drawing rabbits in the margins in cloisters in medieval Europe, or the bureaucrats of the Roman Empire.
They are ruled entirely by symbols, aesthetic social cues, signs from above rather than interpersonal signalling. This means that because they are in many ways blind to the animal expressions of those around them, they are hyper-attuned to the Worldsoul, the Zeitgeist, the Noosphere that surrounds them.
In the modern day, they are driven insane, because the signals are psychotic nonsense. They snap and shoot up waffle houses because they are in constant psychic anguish. Transgenderism is a deliberate countersignal to capture and neutralize these people by switching the signal off. Terminating the male instinct. It doesn't work, as we have recently seen, but that was the point. Transgender ideology was salvaged by the Intelligence Community from the wastebin of history it occupied after John Money's experiments drove those kids to suicide.
