hmmm, well with the new reveals I would think this would actually confirm either

>OBR gets some broken realms style release later this edition
>OBR gets a larger than normal wave
>OBR is the 5e starter, and the mortek pictured is a pity foot hero

If the four factions above are for the first 4 months of next year or whatever, then I would think only one of them would get a big box style release, and I'm leaning toward ogors.

Nurgle is supposedly getting a bigger than normal style release, but that might just be a foot hero + whatever comes out of a new warhammer quest game than a big box.

I mean whatever can happen, just think it's rare to see factions get more than one model released for a book, not be a big box, and it's not endless spells/terrain. Last time that happened I believe was nighthaunt?

Getting big releases back to back is not impossible. Even just this year we had Gitmob-Soulblight, and then IDK/KO next with both getting more than a single hero.

Also worth keeping in mind, that Dawnbringers kicked off last edition with 4 "Harbringer" Heroes for Fyreslayers, Nurgle, Gits, and FEC. FEC got their big wave in Dawnbringers, Gits got Trugg and later Gitmob, but Fyreslayers and Nurgle have so far not gotten expanded yet.

Tbf that's because all their torsos are the exact same with just a different bits and arms. I don't hate the idea of a refresh because it can be done right.

Multiple weapon options and alternative bits are a possibility (Barrow guard are decent, though nowhere near the options of the old shit) and it's pretty easy to repose or fuck with arms. But I am sad it'll probably be missing all the options.

I would say I'm more interested in the OBR tome if it becomes more complex or has depth. Getting rid of the auras would be nice it doesn't really make sense with an elite army and with the fluff.

The army right now is too smooth brained, now that Khorne left a vaccuum open for a techy combat army I want OBR to inherit it as it should. Death books (until this edition) have always had more unique rules or skewed toward that direction.

Ossiarchs are always talked about in the lore as being insanely coordinated and pulling off military ploys other armies are incapable of doing. Mortek purposefully taking a dive so kavalos could charge over them was the best part of end of enlightment.

To be fair, there hasn't been any new gluton or bull in ages, but I understand your fear of GW fucking up a rework. But also things not designed around square bases would be pretty nice, but I can see why you don't want them to fuck with the army. No, no, the horus heresy wheel pitched vashtorr/hashut domain as diametrically opposite to morghur's

the enmity between rat and shit has probably to do with the fact they're the only new guys around
it's also somewhat parallel to the one between vashtorr and belakor

but gods can have multiple nemesis, think about khorne, everyone knows his main hate-crush is slaanesh, but noone looks at the antimagic man and says he's on good terms with the magic man

I have an autistic headcanon trying to piece together the inconsistencies between these things, the realms, and the winds
the conclusion is that the inconsistencies are the chaos that the old ones saw and wanted to fix, and their great plan is about rearranging the nature of magic, the relations of the spheres, and the domains of the gods until everything is in order, while chaos is working to warp everything into their own nonsensical rivalries
by my last schizoautistic drawings, the war is currently happening at a moment where chaos has in disarray 4 points of the cosmic die

the skaven thing is during the end times, they are sacking one lizardmen city and they happen on their storages of old one tech, they play with random dials they find on one machine until they accidentally hit some combination and a melodious voice "like an elf but speaking an alien language" speaks through the machine, they promptly pick up their pistols and shoot the machine to bits.

chainswords and bolters and stuff have been demonic gifts (generally from khorne) for fantasy warriors in realm of chaos, and one makes a cameo in total war

during the shadow over albion campaign in 6th edition there were various artifacts of the old ones that people could use as magic items that were quite obviously just a power sword, a power fist and some other thing, down to the exact same game rules

>Where does that come from and how reliable is it?
pure speculation and not at all.

People have theories based on the existing lore. I would say the three most popular are;

We know Grombrindal wants to bring the different Duardin together, and it's pretty damn likely that the Dispossessed are getting removed from Cities. So some people think GW will say that a lot of the Dispossessed joined up with the Magmaholds and Fyreslayers will get new units and characters with designs a little closer to classic Warhammer Dwarfs.

We know that Fyreslayers have started having more daughters than usual, it's been canon for ages that the women raise the Magmadroths, and the latest model Fyrelayers got had the first Fyreslayer women in it. So some people think that Fyreslayers will get a Valayaish expansion with a cavalry unit of ladies on teen Magmadroths and so on.

We know that the basic core infantry kit for Fyreslayers fucking sucks ass and is enough to turn people off the faction all by itself, and people who can get past that then face that the army has literally three fucking kits. So they think Fyreslayers will get a refresh/expansion that replaces the Berzerker kit and adds a couple more units, but doesn't mess with the overall aesthetic or expand the design space that much.

Those are all reasonable, they aren't mutually exclusive, and they are all completely made up out of people's brains. This teaser is the first actual solid information we have, and all we can learn from it is that Fyreslayers are getting at least one new kit, and it seems to draw more from the slightly tweaked design language of the Vulkyn Flameseekers than it does from the original 1st edition launch stuff. But is otherwise normal Fyreslayer.

the problem with orruks is that some time ago, they billed big waaaagh as its own army, i beleive the first version of this was sometime in 1st or early 2nd edition. they cannot divorce the orruks without dismantling big waaagh and telling anyone whos army consists of big waaaagh to eat shit. also bonesplitters were only psuedo squatted, and live on refreshed as a sub element within ironjawz with its weirdbrute wrekkaz and ragerz, and probably more to come in the future with the weird berserker element. the outright cavemen bonesplitterz army was phenomenally unpopular, even compared to other poorly supported microfactions.

as for the wolfs, i very much think gitmob were supposed to replace spiderfang as the poison and fast skirmishy cavalry element of the army lead by mounted shamans. they have almost 100% role overlap with spiderfang. why else would the wolfs have toxic venom? but somewhere along the way someone outside of that development decision made a separate choice to keep spiderfang around, and so now we have 2 completely redundant rosters in the same army.

and 1-2 of those enhancements are often unplayable trash, regardless of points.

this new design team is both creatively bankrupt and thoroughly incompetent. not only do we have fewer and less flavorful or diverse choices than ever, but they are also not even remotely balanced against each other. only a handful of armies where there are actually compelling choices

and you know what the worst part is? they seem to be getting worse as the edition goes on, not better.

Not sure whether to buy Blightkings or wait for the new kit
You just know they'll be a different base size or something
Anonymous No.96471010
>>96471005
buy the current one, they're one of the best plastic kits gw ever produced
if the new ones are different, then good, you'll have even more variety in a unit characterised by its heterogeneity
if the new ones have different bases, you can rebase or ignore the difference, in practical terms the game doesn't change if your 40mm based unit is actually 50mm based

i would buy at least 1 box of the old ones just in case they squad them. its a very fun kit and gives you a metric shitload of bits.

i bought it 4 times and still didnt have any repeat models, its one of the most customizable kits GW has ever done, and the detail holds up really well, it doesnt feel dated at all.

Stranger things still are whispered of in the shadows – transformations and mutations beyond those seen in the lower echelons, sorcerous beasts with the heads of duardin elders scheming in the shadows of Hashut’s temples.

Undivideds true relevance lies in Belakor getting a real army instead of the fake one he has now
All he really needs is a dedicated shadow mage
Two demons
A Calvary
Monster
A real infantry unit
>But what about Darkoath
What if I took a shit on your chest and called it exfoliating lotion? Huh? What if I did that? Darkoath is Darkoath the Legion should be its own thing. It’s exactly why Azorgh is dead long live the Helsmiths

Belakor is not TRVE undivided because he's a rogue agent against the gods
and as such he must be an underdog and not have an army like one of the main 4
I fully believe the horus heresy will deliver on making a truly undivided demon range

x1 Ogroid Thaumaturge (Hero)
-x3 Tzaangor Skyfires
-x3 Tzaangor Enlightened
-x20 Tzaangors
-x20 Tzaangors
Total Cost= 1000 Points

I don't think he said that, but that ossiarchs wouldn't be the starter faction, as far as I understood it, he seems like an ESL.

All the stuff he leaked seem to be for relatively near releases, as suggested by the teasers gw posted, so chances are he excluded ossiarchs as a starter army because he saw ossiarchs getting a wave of models now.
