Make your own maps, there are many tools available. If you need to add a visual element just attach a little jpg on the side you dug up from the internet someplace that resembles the location.

I've run into this issue a lot. But, if you get it close enough and then turn off the grid, you can place your tokens in the hex/square and it'll be perfectly playable.

What's your hex map of?
Using these for a Space Battles campaign.
Small hex map is tied into the campaign turns, large hexes are for the actual space battles.
Cute light ruleset, works on hexes just as well as a grid as far as I can tell.

Ngl I've stopped using roll20's grids altogether if the image already has one. Just size the tokens to match the size of the tiles, them snapping into place isn't that important.

Yeah, that's the most prudent option. I guess I got tunnel-vision on trying to get the hexes to align that I forgot I can just turn the grid off and move people grid-by-grid.
